  1. Where are you looking? When I sign on to Celebrity's site, the landing page (the one listing upcoming reservations) shows my Elite status. No individual reservation page does though.

It should be printed on your xpress pass. This will let you use the Elite line for check-in which is generally one of the shorter ones (depending on the cruise).

If you get to the ship and don't have elite benefits (not printed on your card, wrong coupons, etc.) then let the CC host know and they'll correct it.

Thanks. I do see it on the website, but not on my Xpress pass. Any idea where on the Xpress pass it should be? (Maybe it's there and I'm just not seeing it).

  2. I was going through my grammas photo albums last night and came across one from 1980. Gramma and Grampa sailed the Veracruz for 2 weeks out of Barbados. Gramma said it was a great time! She has lots of photos.

I will let her know that the ship is now gone. Maybe she will let me post a few pics:)

Would like to see some of those pics.

  3. The Equinox had some excellent lectures about the ports during our Mediterranean cruise -- history, current sites; no shopping "tips" (unless one made the mistake of attending the wrong kind of talks). I don't recall exactly when the talks were given, but they didn't conflict with excursions on port days; and as was pointed out before, they also were shown on the in-cabin TVs.

  4. Yes. Regardless of where in the world you are all transactions on the ship are in US Dollars and USD is the currency in the casino.

    Happy sailing,

    Jenna

Thanks. I believe that I will try this. This is the first time I expect to have any OBC remaining at the end of the cruise.

  5. Celebrity’s shore excursion from Zadar to Krka has a maximum age of 70. Is visiting Krka so strenuous that I should worry about it (I admit that I am slightly over 70, but I can hike and walk without difficulty) if I go there on a private tour, or is Celebrity just being overly cautious and arbitrary? Does anyone know why they would put such an age restriction on the excursion? Exception for that restriction, it doesn’t sound like one would need to be a super athlete to do it.

  6. Must be doing some website matinence today. I'm having issues checking out excursions, and now it says my reservation is being changed, please try again in 20 minutes. I'm in an excited state of vacation planning so it's been a long 20 minutes :D

It isn't maintenance. The 20 minute wait time is standard (and ridiculous). It happens every time that you back off too far from what you've been doing.

  7. We all know this, but I just had to let some of my frustrations out by reminding everyone. I tried to book several of the ship’s excursions, but – as usual – every time I went back (even if I just looked at it and didn’t order anything) it insisted that I wait 20 minutes (not true – I tried after 20 minutes and still got the same idiotic message) and try again. Why? At this rate it could take me a week to book the excursions that I want. Why don’t they fix this abominable website? Don’t they care? Nothing on it works correctly. Okay; now I feel a little better. But I’m still frustrated.

  8. I saw people having trouble with the steps too. They said the lights along the steps actually made it harder to see.

Andre (cruise director) acknowledged that Divina knows that the lighting on the steps makes it difficult to see, and said they hope to correct that during dry dock by changing the type of lighting. Besides the lighting, the raised strips on the edges of the theater steps are easy to trip on. But the superior quality of the shows makes up for the quality of the steps.

  9. I just got off he divina lst aturday. Before i left, i read so many bad reviews that i was concerned whether to go or not......well im back to tell you, that i worried for nothng!!!! The divina is a beautiful sparkling ship with the nicest crew. Seems that the food was a big concern, but i ate all my meals in the main dining rooms and other than getting lukewarm soups a couple of times, the food was very g ood. I never saw 2 for i drinks, but they had a great book of tickets ( i think 12 for $55) and could be used everywheres. (there was about 20 bars) if youre worried about how the crew acts towardyou, i always smiled and said good morning ,to everyone first, and that made all the differnce! I take 4 cruises a year, and will probobly take the divina again no complaints!!:

Were you able to pick up the drink tickets at check in? Or did you have to go to some place on the ship to get them? I have pre ordered them, but I remember that the last time I sailed on the Divina with a preordered package they sent me all over the ship to get my card notated appropriately.
