This will be my first cruise on MSC. Recently widowed, but I've cruised solo before and love it. Looking forward to relaxation and independence!
-
Log in to or register at your local MSC web site, and see what is available for pre-booking. There is a huge choice and it varies by ship, itinerary and time of year. Log in and see.
Tim.
Can you give me some idea of where on the website I might find this? Is there a tab for it somewhere?
-
Is there some way that, before my cruise on Divina, I can order a bottle of liquor to be delivered to my cabin?
-
Has everyone been watching the parbuckling today? It looks (to me, anyway) like the ship has been uprighted, with a slight tilt toward port.
-
I hope we all don't cruise at the same time!! Imagine the mayhem embarking!!
We could have quite a sailaway party!

Shame on my colleagues who would "go on strike" in the mistaken and error filled decision to convert a profession into a job. It's another sad commentary of the worldwide demise of professions (For The Public Good) in many fields of endeavor (law, education, medicine, clergy, etc)
I can't imagine our (attorneys) going on strike in this country. It would have to be an ethics violation.

For those that are petite, I've seen ladies knot their maxi dresses/skirts and thought it looked super cute~

Interesting; it could save a lot of hemming. But I think you'd have to be careful making the knot or it would look like a mess. I wonder -- I have some clips that I used to use to shorten t-shirts similarly -- could I use them on a maxi dress?

I just grabbed this top on Ebay. I'm afraid it is a little old fashioned but I really wanted something dressy that had upper arm coverage and that would go with black flowy pants. I also loved the scalloped hem.
I'm thinking of this for formal nights? I still might find some gowns that I can live with, but just in case. I can't wear really high heels and I think gowns would look better with a heel.
Debbie
I have a top very similar to yours, but it has silver rather than gold. I've worn it on cruises with black flowy pants. I haven't worn it for formal nights, mainly because I have a lot of long formal dresses, and I usually don't have a packing limit because I cruise out of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale; but I do think it would be fine for a formal night.

Hi all,
I've been leaning toward wearing my Naturalizers (similar to http://www.naturalizer.ca/Shopping/ProductDetails.aspx?p=EC0100835&pg=7006375 with much thinner laces) but found these (http://www.naturalizer.ca/Shopping/ProductDetails.aspx?p=EC0110484&pg=7006710) and thought they might be a bit better.
Love the dress! I think the second pair of shoes (without the laces) would be better.

I always wear my wedding ring (plain gold band) and engagement ring (diamond is <1 carat) unless I'm required to remove them for surgery.
When we got engaged in 1969, DH suggested that I pick something I really liked because, even though he might someday be able to buy me expensive jewelry, he wouldn't "upgrade" my wedding or engagement ring. I liked his sentimentality, so that was fine with me.
I love that way of thinking -- I find it romantic.

Yes, each year a week before the end of WC they have a fair and auction to raise money for charities. Two are the Prince trust and father Ray in Thailand. Since we are no longer on the ship I can post it here, I was the anonymous who double the Cunard take. They raised $9,100.00 I made it $18,200.00.
M
All very impressive; good for you! A very nice thing to do.

I'm glad to hear that they have sushi. I recall that they also had sushi on the Glory, in about the same location. It was somewhat limited, but good.
-
Here are my black silk pants. The top was beaded in parts but doen't show up to much. I actually donated the top to the sale that they have on Cunard at the end of a World cruise. You can donate things you no longer need or stuff you have bought that you wish you hadn't
The end of the World Cruise sale is interesting to me, since I've never been fortunate enough to take a World Cruise. Am I right that people on the cruise buy the donated items? What happens to the money paid for them? Donating items sounds like a nice way to eliminate clothes that you no longer want.

Stayed in 1057 and loved the deck and location. Next time since its only five nights I'm starting out on Upper Deck but may move on up. You are so close to all the on deck activities on Lido and Panorama is quiet.
Thanks. I'm looking forward to this location -- different from what I'm used to.

No I have not but I really don't give a damn about what others do or think. I wear what makes me happy not what others approve of. Same thing happens when I attend a local ballet, theater event, etc. Someone must uphold some standards so it might as well be me.
Well said, and I'll be doing the same thing -- including on my upcoming Carnival cruise.

I'm wearing this dress, its really an emerald green color for formal night on the 7 day cruise on the Triumph. I'm debating whether to wear my patent black pointed heels or a pair of silver sandals with it. http://instagram.com/p/U3J7XyRYpu/ hope the link works, this is my very first post! :-)
Pretty dress! I'd say silver shoes would be best.

What does "need" have to do with it?;) A sale is a sale!
Good point! I did "need" to buy it at that price.

Just got this dress at Dillard's on sale, of course! $48. Really didn't need it but I thought it would be great for a cruise. The back is "backless" to the waist. I always go & look after Prom season and usually find the best deals & I'm lucky that I can shop sometimes in the Jr. dept. for things! :) (please excuse my "frown" in the picture, I was concentrating on taking it which I'm not used to! LOL).
I love that dress! And you got a bargain, too.

Has anyone sailed in cabin 1055 on the Panorama Deck? How are the balcony and the location?

Please add me too -- judyzoo, Judy, Miami Florida
Thanks!

I just got this dress for our family cruise. Hubby and son both will be in tuxes. I just threw it on for a pic. It's not even altered nor am I wearing the propper undergarments. I'm a bright and cheerful kids of girl, so I think this fits my style!

I love the color and the style!

This has probably been posted before, but in case not, here's a good website about the removal process: http://www.theparbucklingproject.com.
Can I order a bottle of liquor for my Divina cabin?
in MSC Cruises

Thanks; I'll try it. Don't want to be without my in cabin drinks.
