  1. We got an upgrade once to the the Spa Deck on 11 on the Conquest. Since it was an upgrade - we got NO spa perks. BUt - the door to the balcony was a sliding glass door rather than the regular balcony door, which was a huge plus

Conquest doesn't have the cloud 9 spa like Dream does. It's fabulous. IMO

  2. You have to take a taxi to there and back right? That makes me nervous about timing and getting back to the cruise. The weird thing is... Mr Sanchos isn't listed on the ship's excursion list.

Sorry, I meant it was cheaper to reserve it that way than the $55 pp it costs just showing up at the beach club for the all inclusive.

There is no ship excursion to Mr Sanchos.

  3. https://www.goccl.com/~/media/Files/Irman/bookccl/the_fleet/Miracle/miracle.ashx

Try that, or Google goccl miracle and it will come up. Look at stateroom

Descriptions. There is a paragraph about the dividers.

Unlike the others the spirit class ships won't tell you which can be opened, but which can't. The dividers hinge at the rail instead of the hull, so unless there is a structural reason you can open them. It takes special clamps to secure the dividers, so once those clamps are gone, no more can be opened. I would suggest that you and one person from each cabin you want to be opened be at the guest services desk and request it before sailaway. That is what they had us do.

  4. Roatan has the beach right there if you don't feel like traveling to west bay. But Grand Cayman has beaches nearby as well.

The toss up is to me is Jamaica vs Belize.

If I were going to Belize and didn't want to do an excursion, I would sleep in, let the mad tender rush clear and then leisurely make my way down the pier to the Wet Lizard. Find a seat overlooking all the activity and people watch while eating the best conch fritters and ice cold Belikins.

    But that's just me. ;)

  5. I got a phone call the first time and had to make the decision on the spot. The 2nd time (years later) I received an email telling me to call for details and I also got a phone call.

The first was about a week out. The 2nd was more like 3 weeks before.

  6. The spirit class are different because the dividers swing to the rail and need a special clamp to hold them. Most can be opened, but there are only a limited number of clamps. On all other types of ships the divider is hinged against the wall, not the rail, so to open a divider could block access through the door.

  7. Is your ship stopping in Barbados? That is the only time I have gotten that notice, and it pertains mainly to those that use Barbados as an embarkation point.

Unless you are a regular world traveler, it may not pertain to you.

  8. The decor on the miracle has been a much debated topic on these boards. Some absolutely love it...some totally hate it. There doesn't seem to be much in-between. I personally think the decor is wonderfully fantastic and it is my favorite place on earth. It has a carnival-esque (as in the large festival before lent...not the cruise line) kind of feel. While there doesn't seem to be a set theme to the ship, each area takes you into different places and times. From the Roman Wine God Baccus's dinning room (thus all the grapes that everyone complains about but I miss every day that I am away), to Gatsby gardens, Mad Hatters ball, Horatio Hornblower's buffet, Greek and roman art and Literary figures throughout the hallways...there is always something new and wonderful to explore. Some call the Miracle garish but I think she is perfect for bringing out the whimsical wonder that we all should have while on a perfect vacation.

The theme of the ship is literary characters.
