I think that boycotting Celebrity is taking it a Bridge too far...

The pillow chocolates on Celebrity are truly great. and this is the opinion of a chocoholic Belgian:mad:

When we recently spent a few days at a B&B in Antwrep our friendly B and B owner/host told us the locals like to call Duval beer "Devil." The general theory is that if you drink more then 3 Duvals while sitting, you will not be able to walk :)
Hank
Actually, the beer is called DUVEL and this meand Devil in Dutch:)
It is very popular here in Belgium, mbutmwemhave so much more excellent beers, including the World Best Dark Ale 2012, by World Beer Awards, Gouden Carolus Classic, brewed in my home town!!!!!:D I wash and shower in the same water that they use for brewing...when I was at high School, I studied at Montfort College, a famous boarding school. we washed, drank etc. from the same water well as Stella Artois uses for their beer, and they supplied the school with free Stella for staff and students over 16 :D:D ( one pint, once a week:rolleyes:) as the CEO was an ex. alumnus.

I think that Sue will be back for the Transatlantic in May, but I'm not sure.
At the moment, Rich Clesen is the CD on Connie.
In ieder geval, de Constellation is een fantastisch schip, met of zonder Sue!

Does anyone know who (staff) will be onboard Constellation 3/10/12?
Any updates on Connie?

From first views of the pictures and video's, my opinion is that Constellation's refurbishment has a nicer colour palette. Infinity's Cellar Masters is a lot darker due to the purple carpets and dark chairs in faux leather. On Connie, the seats have a gorgeous decoration and the carpet is a delicate mixture of beige/grey and colours.
Although I have only seen pictures of Michaels Club without the furniture, my first thought is that they should have left it alone. I absolutely Hate the wooden walls now painted off-black?! On Connie, Michaels with the new blue carpeting and gorgeous seats is a stunning "club" lounge that begs for a whiskey/Cognac degustation with a nice piano tune to accompany it.
The Expanded Deck 11 looks ugly and makes the ship look unbalanced. It is obvious that it is an add-on and breaks the sleek lines of M-Class. But that is modern ship design unfortunately.
The Show Lounge is refurbished beautifully. Really nice!
The Solarium and T-pool area has been renovated in a modern and very nice way. On Connie, that area has not been refurbished (except for a deep-clean).
Also the Pool area is very nice with the Lounge seating! Well done Celebrity!
Other venues seem to be an exact copy of the Constellation refurb. Examples are the Champagne bar, Cafe al Baccio and the Atrium.
I would like to see pictures of the renovated and now smaller MDR and the effect of the Blu partition on its "grandeur".

Actually, the sparkling wine, Celebrity Brut (Vintages),is sold onboard in some lounges including the MDR I believe.

The really good champagne is found going to the Champagne region yourself, visiting the caves and champagnemakers... We have found a tru gem of a Blanc de blancs Champagne ( 100% Chardonnay) which is comparable in nose, body and aftertaste with overpriced houses like Dom Perignon, only for 1/3 of the price;)
By the way, On the other side of the Channel, near the White cliffs of Dover are some of the best Sparkling wine makers in the World. Yes, in the UK!! The soil of the Champagne region is exactly the same as near Dover (it is the same layer actually), climate is similar (even a bit sunnier in the UK!).

The Celebrity Brut is a sparkling wine, made with a "methode Champenoise" but is not champagne. As a "Cremant de Loire", a sparkling wine made in the Loire region in France, it is not as bad as some people here claim, and is certainly drinkeable although unmemorable. (what do you excpect?!)
it certainly is a very nice gesture and unique in the mainstream cruise industry. It gives a VERY good first impression (just like a welcome drink in a hotel at check-in).
Other times where the Celebrity Brut is served are: before the Captains Welcome speach in the main show-lounge, at the galley tour and Captain's Club celebrations.

In my opinion, you can get your espresso at Cafe el Baccio/Cova and take it back to the room. It is no concern to Celebrity where you consume your drink. Also, just bring both your wife's and your card to get both espresso's.
I am sure that they will not make trouble for ordering both juice and coffee at breakfast considering both of you have the package. If not, complain.
-
same here, although we are 3 weeks from sailing. Mycelebrity tells me we have bought 0 packages. We did print out the payment confirmation e-mail sent to us by Celebrity though just in case...
-
My wife and I have purchased upfront the Premium Non-Alcoholic package.
However, It will always be me who will get the drinks so I guess i need both cards to get two drinks?
Also can anyone tell me the difference between premium coffees and specialty coffees?
