We were also unable to get ours shipped despite having plenty of time, it was "not available". We're sailing out of a different port, but had thought all this time that they would mail the medallions to us ahead of the cruise.

Our son is looking forward to the teen hangout on the cruise. He's been through every level and has enjoyed them all and never had a lack of kids to hang out with. If you are cruising anywhere near a school break there will be kids on the ship and they plan different activities like movie nights and dance parties for the older kids.

My son likes the kids clubs on board, he's been in every age group and this time will be in the teen age group for the first time. He likes the parties, movie nights and video games. For the younger kids, when he was 8 he was at the top of the age group for the younger kids and was sort of bored so they let him go into the next higher level. He enjoys the activities, they make t-shirts, decorate cookies and eat them, and other fun optional activities. Note that at age 8 I think you can opt to let your child sign themselves out of the kids club or not, depends on your child's ability to navigate the boat to find you! They close during lunch on sea days but stay open for lunch and serve the kids on port days. The staff is engaging and the spaces are really nicely done.

After cruising to Mexico at least 5 times, we're ready to broaden our horizons and try the 7 Day Eastern Caribbean. We'll be traveling with our teen so I'm looking for more active excursions and was checking out the rain forest tour in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I'm wondering about how many bugs/critters we can expect to encounter? Are we talking Indiana Jones bug tunnel or no bugs if you don't look for them? While I understand that rain forests, and any forests really, have critters in them I don't want to pay for this and then end up sitting on the bus waiting for everyone else because things keep landing on me. Thank you for any insight!
