Oops, Dislexia setting in again! Yours is the right number. And I looked at those numbers over and over, and typed it into a documnet and pasted it in to not make errors.

  3. After seeing a post with a Celebrity phone number for assistance, I thought it might be nice to share the number I have and ask others to also share. So here are the numbers I know about:

  4. One funny.....remember the posts about when Celebrity would have the CruiseCritic meetings listed in the Daily, and people would show up so they could complain about that cruise? Won't have to worry as much about that one.

  5. Sorry to correct you...your statement is inaccurate. Are you familiar with, "Friends of Bill"? Are you familiar with "Friends of Dorothy"?

Two groups, have nothing to do with being directly associated with the Cruise Line (your statement), yet are scheduled and listed.

I have no problem with either the gay group or the lesbian group meeting on the ship. In fact I fully support their finding people of similar nature in an organized fashion. Just as I support SINGLES meeting, another group "not directly associated with the Cruise Line", yet "listed".

I'm simply pointing out the error in your statement.

Scotty, I may be 'wrong' in your experience of them being listed on the Daily for your cruise, but our last two X cruises, there were no notices...they did state all private groups' meetings were listed on the public board. And this is what someone else reported on an earlier post.

Not a biggie....just human nature to want everybody know that I'm not completedly wrong.....so there!

As to what is correct and should Vets get special treatment? My view is if the ship informs people that there is a publc board to post meetings, that should suffice. I'm not into the 'Vets deserve special consideration'. I'll take the discounts if they offer them, big time just as I would if they give my State a discount, but in this case, as soon as you list the Vets and not others because 'we' deserve it more, someone will inevitably point out that their religous meetings are 'more important' and so on....

  6. Vets, they aren't disrespecting us, they are setting a rule that groups not directlty assocaited with the Cruise Line won't have their meetings listed. It has nothing to do with Political Correctness, and everything to do with people insisting their particular group get a meeting place and advertizing. As stated before, this has been a gripe of many groups who were use to listing their meetings in the Daily.

As to being forgotten?? Afraid that is what we use to say back 30-40years ago, but not now. Our current warriors are honored constantly so not sure what the gripe is, except we are faced with what every other group has been told.

Another Line? Go for it. And hope they aren't overwhelmed with meeting demands and do the same.

  7. Apparently the timing of the Elite lounge isn't 'useless' for Late Diners, but may be useless for an individual's taste. We've dined late and find the current times just fine, as said by others. Maybe a more accurate statement would be: "The time doesn't meet my personal schedule and they should move it for me".

  8. We dressed in 'port-attire' in the morning, and dressy casual in the evening. Leave the snorkle and mask in the SR!!

Haven't noticed a response on coffees to the OP: yes, they serve complementary expressos, capachinos, lattes in the morning. Regular or decaf.

    Love the fresh-squeezed OJ also.

Usually a number of red and white wines. And nice martinis!

  9. Don't think I agree with the OP. I think it has more to do with being an experienced (not jaded) cruiser. Think about those initial cruises and how most everything wowed you - well, at least me. Now I'm more selective and more critical. To me that is human nature and our habit if looking back with rose-colored glasses. There has been changes in a few things such as moving to rock lobster and it appears our waitstaff have more tables but personally I'm not bothered by that.

I still find the overall service to be the same (ratio appears to be the same). Enough.

Agree on the subjectiveness of it all and I love having so many more options.

  10. For the 'It's hot and humid' rationale, I'd suggest you cruise on ships that have airconditioning.....just a thought.

I live in Fla and wear a suit for business when needed. I don't complain to my company or my customer that they make me wear this - I make good money and part of it is wearing a suit. So now, I go on vacation and wear as I wish. But one or two nights (nights, inside, at sea where there a lovely breeze and its not nearly as 'hot and humid' as on land) I put on a suit to make my wife happy (giving me 'that look'), I feel good about it (yes, it is subjective) and I enjoy being part of a special event.

One situation, I get paid to do so, so I do. Another situation, my wife or guidelines to be part of a nice friendly group suggest I do so, but I won't. I do for money, but won't do it for my love or for a group of friends??? OK, don't. I do not care what you wear. I don't look around to check. But just realize, you may be making the statement that you do it for money but to heck with your wife or partner.

  11. HI has anyone got any info on cabin 6251 I can't find any on here yet, I am so excited bout goin on the Eclipse and want as much info as possible :)

This is the 2nd time you've posted a question on this thread about specific cabins, and you were asked then Not to do that, so we will ask you Not to do it, again. This thread is to provide cabin information that posters have stayed in, not to ask about cabins. Please either go to your Roll Call or the Celebrity forum to ask.

Again, do not post cabin questions here.

  12. My wfe.

Well, that's in my case. I'd not suggest it for you.....very expensive addition to a cruise.

OK, I'd bring an extension cord if you have any electronics. Only a few plugs and you might want to use the item further then the plug. Also a mini-computer. I brought my 7" Azuz. good for the internet (wrote emails prior to getting online then uploaded and downloaded). Able to transfer my photos (has an SD Slot), and journal easier.

  13. Just forward of the Solairum Pool area is the Spa area and then the Fitness Center with the gym equip. The Womens and Mens Changing rooms in that area have Sauna's and showers. Free.

The Pesian gardens has an area also - that's charged for unless you are Aqual Class (and I believe free for Suites also - not sure). Capt Club Elite get access one inport day for free.

  14. Deck - 9

    Cabin # - 9247

    Class – C2

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Very quiet. Is connecting. No issues.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Mostly Unobstructed. Aft of the Hump so ‘see’ aft-facing hump balconies a bit and can’t see the bow, but not a real issue. Only see people standing at rails, not into balconies.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Standard.

Was wind a problem? No. Aft of Hump which blocked wind. Very nice.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? NA

Any specific problems with this cabin? None. Beautiful. Loved the aft-of-hump placement.

Any other comments? I would go with a bed near the bath next time. Thought we’d love the bed near the balcony, but always dark anyway and no views from bed except AM. Had a Cabin Crawl and liked the desk/sofa setup near the balcony for viewing and just a bit more maneuvering room with that setup.

Really appreciate the time you took putting this together. This is the type of thing that helps each of us so much. I've copied your post into a word file for future reference.

On M-Class,we like to go forward because we love to run up to the T-Spa in the morning and enjoy the fantastic pool and cafe. So we go for those on this class. We love Connie - she is our favorite ship right now (about to try S-Class!).

As to the Deck 8 comment. Overall concur on making sure you have a SR above and below, but there are quiet Deck 9 CC SR's. We gambled on Infinity and took the Deck 9 9038 SR with the larger angled Veranda. It has the Mens Gym Changing Room above and just forward so there was little 'activity' on the deck above our SR. Very quiet. We just took the same type SR (portside this time - Sr 9043) on our upcoming Millie Wine Cruise in Sep 10.

But overall, concur with Deck 8 assumption and will use your guide but will add Deck 9 Angled and Aft CC Cabinsl. I also understand there are many other 'quiet' Deck 9 SRs, but nobody has put anything close to what you've done. And of course, a 'noisy' room is a subjective as an opinion on service, dining quality, etc.

  16. - Lots list Documents, but include Travel Insurance Policy just in case.

    - Small Bills for tipping directly.

    - Wizard Card game. Understand it's popular in Canada. We love it.

    - Pants with zippered legs: change from shorts to pants for dining and special tours.

    - Pool exercisers such as water barbells and a float waist.
