Maybe you should of listened to her, know why? Someday you will be old & crabby too.
Sorry, don't buy that at all. I, for one, am sick of old crabby people........life is too short (esp. for them!!:o) so I suggest continuing to use good manners and be polite even when it's a struggle. BTW, I'm 54.....not old but old enough to observe the sense of entitlement that so many of my elders exhibit, including my own mother.

Wow, these are some sad and scary situations. I cannot imagine being on a ship during September 11. Did they play the live feeds on the stateroom TV's?? I am sure there were lots of phone calls home that day.
I will never forget that morning.
We were in Sitka, Alaska that horrible day. Due to the time difference we were way out of the loop in fact only because DH wanted to check out the stock market did we find out what had happened. The loop played on and on, we just couldn't wrap our heads around it........that this had really happened several hours before. We got off the ship for a short time, I will never forget the crowds of people inside and outside the church in the town square. Once all pax were back on board the Captain came over the loudspeaker and expressed his condolences to all the American pax. He was the one to tell us that no one could leave the ship until it had been thoroughly searched...we had to stay in our cabin with the door open. Many pax wanted to get off the ship and go home but there were no flights. We stopped in Victoria but didn't feel like getting off the ship, we did get off in Seattle and it was so eerie not to see any airplanes in the sky. The cruise ended in San Fran and we had to stay a couple of extra days waiting for the flights to be adjusted. Everyone we spoke to said they had never missed their home or their families as much as we all did the days following 9/11.

Radio, chiming in here with all the others. This is the best live thread I've seen, your photos literally make you feel as if you were there. Thanks for taking the time to do this and BTW, I raised a glass to you last Sunday as you sailed past our balcony!!
Lynda
PS Would like to her about the train journey, did you leave from Sanford or Winter Park?

Is the Hard Rock in walking distance from the ship? I have a friend that I must buy a hurricane glass for.
Yep, turn right on the main street after you get off the tender and it's a couple of blocks down on the left side of the street.
Lynda
PS A couple of times we've been in that particular HR they've given us the glasses as a souvenier.............

Neither side....and while the pics of the aft view are awesome, you just can't beat being up front (or as close as you can get up front). It gets crowded (duh..) but be patient, people really do move!! We were fascinated the entire time. Have a great trip.

Love to Zumba too!! So far, not available on Mariner, Sovereign or Celebrity Infinity. Maybe if enough of us request it they will add it to the fitness classes.....and if they do, please don't LOL at some of my moves!!
