Not into smuggling but my 12 pack of club soda fits perfectly in the brown bags I get at the Polo store at the Carlsbad Outlet Mall. I have never once had my 12 pack opened, inspected or questioned. Never.

This was taken on Pride's sister the Miracle. The balcony won't be as long as this "bowling alley" balcony but the lifeboat positioning will be the same. You can see out, but not down.

Did muster drill upon boarding. Took all of 2minutes. Cabin wasn't ready but we were able to drop off carry ons. Then up to Street Eats for lunch. Chill Dog curly fries, steamed dumpling and beef kabobs. Looked for Celebration cheesecake but no one heard of it . So went with German chocolate and raspberry gelato.
S&S cards weren't available until 1:30. Also had note that our water order was unavailable. But 2 1.58 qt bottles were for sale in the room🤔
Don't know about the celebration cheesecake but the Funfetti cheesecake is our favorite and only served on embarkation day.

You were on the Miracle, right? If you said I must have missed it. Thanks for your review 🙂

Then you probably shouldn't be booking a TBA room, then. 🙂
There is always the risk that you won't be assigned a cabin until the very last minute.
It is suspenseful. I'm waiting now on my GTD assignment and I cruise in 4 days.

Carnival says that the removing of our dirty dishes from the hallways is done by the food server teams. We're asked to place our dirty dishes and the tray they rode in on in the hallway with a napkin over it. Not ideal for sure but the stewards may have time to dust if they weren't busy doing unassigned work like busing out our dirty dishes from the cabins.

Auto- exhaust (smoke) is the bigger issue in Mexico. Their motor vehicles aren't required to have catalytic converters and the exhaust smoke not only pollutes it gives people headaches.
I don't see the new law being enforced for public tobacco smoking in Mexico. Maybe in a few decades it will happen.

Do the 4k obstructed view interior rooms still have french doors that open into the room or are they windows? The description says doors but videos of similar rooms say they are windows now. Specifically looking for information on cabin 4155.
No, they do not. As per above a large window is now there.

Does anyone know what the empty space is on the end of the cabin? I’m concerned about noise and don’t know if it’s a crew area or something else.
Thanks!Yes, that is a hallway with crew cabins. The door does not slam when opened or closed and I never saw crew in the hallway. There is a round window on the door that reads "Crew Only" so of course I had to look through the glass in case you asked about the empty space 😉

Oh wow, thank you for all of the detailed information. That picture is awesome.
You're welcome, my pleasure. I've enjoyed many of your posts here on CC so I was happy to see it was you asking 🙂 We're sailing Radiance this Monday in a 1A so we can then say we've sailed in a 1A cabin on Holiday Class, Destiny Class, Spirit Class, Fantasy Class, Dream Class and Vista Class all in 1A cabins. I see a pattern. Have fun in October.

I'm trying to choose between a 1A with two portholes, cabin 1202 at the very front of the ship or an Interior, deck 8 on the Panorama. I would like the natural light and the sofa in the 1A but it's kinda far from everything. The difference in cost is not an issue. Wish I cold do a balcony but it's not possible this time.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
TIA!
I was assigned to this cabin just last week. Heading north out of Cabo there was more banging noise than usual when the bow would come back down on the water. It didn't last too long though and people all over the ship from fore to aft and top to bottom reported the sea conditions were unusually strong. TBH the cabin was dusty so I used many wet wipes to deep clean the cabin before settling in and the carpet was extracted with the wet vac at my request.
There were two maintenance situations that I had corrected during the cruise. The switch was out on the bedside night stand and the sink drain stopper wouldn't pop up enough to allow the water to drain quickly. Both reports were attended to in a jiffy and fixed and the lamp switch was replaced with new. Based on this information I think you would be happy in 1202, the deep cleaning has been done for you.
I haven't read the whole thread so I may find out you decided to skip this cabin but someone may find this helpful.
I took this photo through the left porthole just after arriving in Cabo. At the top you can see a knob of steel pointing at the glass. This is an auto-wash system for the portholes that sprays sudsy water and then rinses the suds for a clearer view. When returning to the ship on the tender look forward to where your cabin is located and you will see the steel pipes that are attached to the hull which carry the water to clean your portholes. 🙂

Any families on here try these rooms? I noticed they are only on the deck 2 and at the back of the ship. We've never stayed below deck 5 before and wondering if here are any noise issues.
Thanks in advance
Most of noise in that part of the ship on Panorama's Deck 2 comes from the kids running and yelling in the hallways going to and from the Family Harbor, TBH.

We sail often from Long Beach.
We use one of these sturdy paper Ralph Lauren bags with handles from the outlet store in Carlsbad. It is the perfect size and two 12 packs can fit in it one atop the other.

Are you possibly in a Suite for your June cruise and a non-suite for March? That could possibly explain it.
I'm Platinum and in a Suite in March and my tags say Priority, but I think that is because of the Suite, not my VIFP status.
You could be on to something.

my next cruise in march that says platinum on it, i have another cruise in june that says priority again
its very strange that one cruise says priority, other says platinum
i guess it could be port specific? That is strange. The entire Carnival IT department at Miami HQ was dissolved 6 years ago and an overseas company took over. Makes me wonder if this is part of the situation.

priority is on my luggage tag, not on boarding pass
My luggage tags have the red tag with Platinum printed on it and not Priority. What gives Carnival? 🙂
-
My tags stopped showing priority after the restart of cruising. Now there is a red tag at the bottom with Platinum printed on the red tag.
There are several things on the website that need to be updated, the priority check in information appears to be one.

I noticed this was changed almost a year ago. To the right of your VIFP number you scratched out it says Platinum so there's that 🙂

The actuaries say I'm about 50-50 to be around for that eclipse.
I don't need an actuary to tell me I'll be in Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills and will miss the cruise and the eclipse. 🙂

I'm sure someone will chime in as to whether this is now consistent across the fleet.
Thanks for the laugh. The only thing that's consistent is inconsistency. Panorama no problem, Magic big problem both within 60 days.
A Low-No Booze Cruise on the Mardi Gras - Semi Live

It's a hybrid of birthday cake and cheesecake and it's the creamiest, richest cheesecake included in the cost of your cruise fare. Carnival serves "cheesecake" type desserts on other days in the lido that have had gelatin mixed in with the cream cheese to lower their food cost. The Funfetti Cheesecake tastes like it's made with 100% Philly cream cheese.
