  1. hi everyone,

This is serious so RoyalGuestRelations@rccl.com is not the best way to contact RCI ( for me )

In the middle of covid March 2021 my TA left the company and did not handle over her clients to someone else.

As everyone else we had cruises booked which were cancelled cruises some were lifted and shifted and  some cruises waiting for FCC or refund

after 3 years (these are bookings of  2019/2020 ) our problems have not been resolved. ( the amount was about 5000+ usd )

The person who took over my TA her job has tried to search a light in the middle of all these refunds and outstanding FCC but at this point he

is giving up, i am an accountant and kept all paperwork so I know exactly which amount we need as a refund which amount we need as a FCC ....

some cruises are coming up now and they ask me money and we have proove that they are all paid worse they are overpaid because they became cheaper

I write an email to my TA every month I have been calling him and I am sure he is tired of me but it really needs to be solved

I tried to contact RCI by phone but they refuse to speak with me because i have a TA

I tried to tell my story ( with the detailed explanation ) to the C&A ambassador but they only tell us how sorry they feel for us and direct me to ....guest relations

We have been loyal to Royal and we still are but this really needs to be solved because we keep on booking and paying for all our new bookings

    without using the outstanding money.

so shortly, sorry about the long explanation, is there anyone who can give me an email address who i can send my request to handle for once and for all

    our problems.

    TY

This is the end day of Succot, a Jewish high holy day. I'm thinking there is NO public transportation running and your only hope is a private car or expensive taxi.

according google public transportation in only the first day of Succot, will ask tripadvisor if that is the case.

    Thank you for your reply

  3. hi everyone, If all goes well we will be in Ashod in October ( overnight )

As i have been to Israel before and visited all the tourist things a tourist does on it's first visit, i would love to walk around Jerusalem this time on my own.

RCI ( Odyssey of the seas ) does not provide transportation only to Jerusalem.

( all their tours are also mostly sold out )

I have checked the option renting a car ( we stay overnight so being back in time is not a problem)

there is a parking lot next to the light rail stop so that would be an option but taking a taxi from the terminal exit to the rental car office, paperwork and driving

it seems a lot to deal with just to park the car on a parking lot

public transportation is even worse : time bus 1.30 h one way and we also need to calculate the taxi to the bus stop, train goes first to Tel Aviv there you need to change trains time one way again 1.30 h

I am now looking at shared transportation but without doing a tour and I hope someone who reads this has an idea where we can find

just transportation to Jerusalem and back.

perhaps you who is reading this now, is looking for transportation to,  date 11th october this year ?

    anyone has an idea ?

    thanks

We will drink a couple of glasses of Bruges Zot to toast your trip tonight!

Hey Dave, we arranged a black cab tour to pick us from the cruise ship to do the Mural Tour and they will drop us near the city hall so we can walk around to do all tourist stuff,  and then we intend to walk to the Titanic Museum or take a cab or local transportation or the big bus / city site seeing bus to spend a couple of hours there before going back to the ship.

I have no clue how to get back to the cruise ship from the Titanic area cause I have no idea which dock they will anchor but we love to walk and according google maps it is possible.

We'll have a Guinness and toast to your health " schol ! "

Hopefully there are some experts in arriving by cruise ship into Belfast who can answer the queries you have raised. The only input I would give as someone who visits Belfast on a regular basis by plane is that it would not be a pleasant walk into Belfast from the harbour area as it is a busy industrial route and a shuttle or taxi would be recommended

In case you are unaware the 4th June is the middle Saturday of the extended Queens platinum jubilee bank holiday weekend across the UK and these may impact in terms of local road closures, transport options and there are likely to be extra events and crowds in the city. The black cab tour will I'm sure be even more colourful than usual with additional union flags, and probably Irish tricolours in the respective areas and it should be a good day to visit. You may come across a few street parties and daytime music should be easier to find. The only real negative I can think of is the pubs are likely to be very busy!

    Dave

Thank you Dave to make some time to give me this information. We were indeed unaware about the festivities. You probalby know that in Belgium they brew the best beer of the world so we have no intention to visit a pub,  therefore we have enough time to visit the Titanic museum walk around the center and do the mural tour with a local black cab tour company.

( just kidding about the beer ....☺️ ..... not 😁)

Wishing you an amazing evening stay healthy and happy !

  6. Hi everyone,

We will sail to Belfast on the Jewel of the Seas Royal Caribbean Int  from 6.15 till 17.30 June 4th

Can anyone tell us where the dock is because i see more than one cruise terminal in Belfast and if RCI provides a shuttle ?

We intend to do a black cab tour then move on to the hop on bus and hop off wherever we can and visit the Titanic Museum

before going back to the ship

we love to walk, can we walk to the ship from the center of Belfast ( depending where the cruise terminal is )

thank you for your time to get back to me

    have an amazing day

  7. Hi everyone, I hope you are ok. Preparing our cruises out of Florida ( Fort Lauderdale and Miami ) for next month

check in went ok but I get the message Vaccination : there is an issue with your vaccination record.

Being from Belgium / Europe our vaccination proof is the EU DIGITAL COVID CERTIFICATE
we had our booster shot last week so we are more than fully vaccinated.
first shot was May 17 second shot was Juli 21 and our booster shot was December 15
I have a vaccination certificate for all 3 shots and applied online the 3th one so our booster shot ( because it says shot 3/3 )

We also have booked an antigeentest at our home port airport Brussels Airport before we leave and esta and pasport are updated

what more can we do than hope we can enter for the first time since covid the US.

Before i contact RCI is there anyone who can ease my mind cause we are worried now we will not be allowed onboard.

Thank you for your time to get back to me, have an amazing day.

  8. hi everyone,

How are you all doing ? hope all is well.

End of januari we are going on 3 cruises on the  Allure b2b and the Freedom

and I am trying to find out if we are allowed to explore these ports on our own or not. Is there any website that shows this kind of information ?

Normally we book a cab, rent a car or walk the port or rent a spot for a snorkel excursion but now I have no idea if we can get off the ship without booking an excursion.

ports are  Cozumel / Mexico          Roatan / Honduras           Costa Maya / Mexico

Nassau    Charlotte Amalie (St. Thomas) / US Virgin Islands    Philipsburg (Sint Maarten) / Lesser Antilles

Basseterre (St. Kitts) / Lesser Antilles

Thank you to show me where i can find this information.

    have a wonderful day

  10. just wanted to let you know that it is not a problem anymore

the cruise out of Miami has been cancelled

we are still not allowed to enter the US and I wonder if this ban will be ended in Oktober

    and

the testing requirement needed 2 days before the cruise makes it very hard for someone from Europe

our insurance will not cover for the test price and a test in Europe before we leave might be ok if all goes well.......

thanks everyone for the input, wish you a nice holiday today

  11. hello everyone, I need to add that i am from Belgium and I book my cruises for 10 years now in the US using my credit card to pay. ( so we loose or win depending on currency exhange rate )

We can book our cruises directly in Belgium but against so many other "not always great" terms.

I have worked for a company that had a department in Florida and we have many friends from there that is why we started to book our cruises in the US which gave me up till now many more benefits as we had booking them in Belgium.

In this case we were happy with our agent till about 1.5 year ago, I have no idea what happened but she was getting frustrated and sometimes refused to book a cruise when one was cancelled.

She said that we booked "too many cruises " how can a person book too many cruises 🤣

I always thought that staying polite and give her time to solve the problems would be the best thing to do.

yesterday I called and got another agent on the phone,  I  explained the problems, she said to send a mail to my new agent and if this is not solved in a decent time to contact the owner / manager of that company.

I will keep you all informed.

  12. Thank you all for your input.

I did call the agency because I want to book a new cruise and would like to pay with FCC so it is time to clear this mess now. Apperently now they cannot find any of my FCC so there is a big mistake and I hope they are able to fix this. I took the advise to tell them to check this now cause it would be a pity to transfer every booked cruise (15) back to Royal / Celebrity and NCL.

About goodies...it has been a while since they gave me something

    I guess I am a loyal softy.

I would ask  RCL  to take over your cruises

Explain the TA has left the company  you were dealing with

options 2  ask to speak to the manager/owner of the agency  you were working with

    JMO

I did not know that Royal could take over the cruises, I called them in the past about the problems but they always said to contact my TA, in this case my agent is gone so perhaps they will deal with me now

there is also Celebrity and NCL

I will try to speak to the manager one last time

Do you think another TA can take my files over now ?

    thanks

    Frieda

  14. hey everyone,

What would you do : I worked for 10 years with a travel agent in the US and suddenly she left the company ( no she did not inform me )

It was not easy during this pandemic with all those cruises cancelled( I had about 9 up till now which were cancelled and I have some more booked for 2022/2023 )

We used lift and shift where it was possible we asked for FCC and a couple needed to be totally refunded ( otherwise the FCC amount got too big )

We had some issues starting July last year and it got worse. Cause I am an accountant my files are handled with care so I could exactly see which cruise was refunded and what the FCC supposed to be but sadly my TA got frustrated and had no clue what to do anymore ( I was not the only customer with that problem )

I tried to talk to someone else of that company but they all directed me to my agent.

2 months ago I got an email that she left the company and all here clients were moved to different agents so my cruises ( and problems ) were transferred to another agent.

I tried to explain him what was going on but I guess he is not happy with what my agent has left him.

I have all my files I have to the new agent, according to him,  Royal Caribbean has made a mess of my cancelled cruises but according to me my original agent made a lot of mistakes

one example, on her files FCC was used to pay for a cruise I have prove I paid with my credit card and did not use any FCC .... so she mixed up some stuff.

The new agent said he would contact me, never heard of him again ( 2 months ago )

Meanwhile another cruise got cancelled and one the itinerary changed, i have not received any information yet from the agent and I am afraid i will loose my opportunity to lift and shift this cruise and i want to know what my options are for the changed itinerary.

Should i contact Royal Caribbean and hope they can help me solve these problems ?

    what a mess.

thanks for your input on this case, have a lovely day
