Yes, thank you I'm aware of that and have done tours from operators other than HAL. My query is if I already have a tour booked with HAL and also a tour waitlisted for the same day - will they contact me if spots come available for the more desired tour.

Hello, Query about how the HAL Shore excursion and the waitlist. Booking for our upcoming cruise and I've selected a shore excursion and paid for it (just so we have an excursion). However, I've waitlisted us for a more desired excursion. Will HAL still notify us if the more desired excursion comes available - even though we've booked the alternate choice?

We sailed in January - 22 day cruise. Spent a fair bit in the casino. Got chocolates / bottled water delivered to cabin. No comeback offer. No email offers since returning. Haven't received anything in quite awhile.

I think so, we were on a tour. Did not end up having to take the bus.

Yes, can confirm there are buses. $20. Not an easy walk - quite a long way. Some folks saw king penguins to the right of where the bus stops - they walked a fair way along the beach to see them though. FYI there is washrooms at Gypsy Cove. Better to go early in the day as the adults go out for food. We saw some chicks and a few adults.

Boarding Oosterdam on Wednesday. Masks required for at least first 3 days.

THanks, I found some info a from a few years ago - that there is a shuttle available at the visitor center. Hopefully that is still true. Will update the post when we return.

I've been on multiple cruises and have tendered before, but have never had to make sure I get off in time for an excursion not booked through the cruise line. Does anyone know the procedure on how to secure an early tender? Do I go to Shore Excursion desk? Thanks

Found it - thanks. Don't like being waitlisted for something that I won't be doing and delaying the chance for someone else to get the excursion they want.
