  1. We always ordered the water on prior cruises but since we’ve had the beverage package the last few trips, we just stop at one of the bars and get bottled water (several times/day). They have a combination of liter and half liter bottles ready to go. Just a thought.
  2. Unfortunately no one on our Roll Call at this point has been able to access boarding times
  3. Wrong wording used, I am looking for boarding times. Nothing listed at all at this time.
  4. It is a bit concerning, this is the Diamond’s first back in service cruise. She’s now in LA after sailing from Singapore. Who knows what will happen.
  5. Hmmmmm, we’re scheduled for Sept. 1 Diamond. No arrival times present as of 5 minutes ago.
  6. Yes, on Roll Call. Seems awfully quiet. Was concerned cruise may be in jeopardy, more hopeful lately. 😎
  7. Yes! We’re on the Sept. 1 cruise, shortest cruise we’ve ever done. Wanted to continue on for the Sept. 6 as well but pet sitting issues limiting us. Oh well…trying to use up “pandemic credits” before end of year. Another planned in Dec.
  8. Funny you should bring that up! We’re on the Diamond in Sept. and we too enjoy the International Cafe daily. I asked that question this morning and someone kindly answered. There is a “Lobby Bar” on deck 5 that supposedly serves specialty coffees. Yay ☕️
  9. Fortunately rough seas don’t appear to affect me. Since the other things don’t seem to help (ginger, etc) maybe you could get Scopalamine patches (you’re in Canada? It’s a prescription here in US). They’re effective but do tend to make some drowsy. It’s also advised not to drink alcohol while wearing. There is also Benadryl, over the counter, but that too has a drowsy side effect. I’ve also heard your everyday GI meds may help (Pepcid, Reglan…). Guess it’s trial and error. Hope you can find something that works so you can enjoy your wonderful cruise.
  10. We’re booked on the Diamond next month and noticed there is no International Cafe. We love the specialty coffees, just wondering if there is an alternative place? I checked the deck plans and didn’t find anything that seems a source of good coffee drinks (other than Horizon buffet 🙄). Thanks for any input!
  11. We just walked around the walled city. Didn’t seem to need a guided tour. Lots of history and great shops. We did have some friends who did the hike up to the church, said it was rough, but enjoyed it. As mentioned above, the sail in through the fjord is just gorgeous. Might want to note arrival time and get on your balcony or out on deck to enjoy every moment. We had bfast delivered and sat outside while we peacefully sailed into Kotor. If memory serves, it took approx. an hour from entrance to arrival. On departure, Capt. at the time described the ship was about to do a “pirouette” in the harbor. Very graceful!
  12. I frequently have had longer waits at the International Cafe than Alfredo’s. Great pizza! As an aside, we stop first at the IC for a small salad and then go into Alfredo’s and split a pizza. Works out just right!
  13. We’re on the above mentioned Sept 1 cruise as well. Am also a bit concerned. Today we discussed “Plan B” if the cruise is cancelled. Waiting with fingers crossed!
  14. Uhoh, we’re booked on the 9/1 Diamond also. 😕 Nothing surprises me at this point. So…just went to Princess site, it does show “not available.” I too noticed that there were a good number of cabins still open (when checked about a week ago). Hopefully we’ll hear an update soon if it’s cancelled.
  15. I normally do laundry (in laundry room) on every cruise. Yup, am a bit OCD 🙄 . There can be some confrontations in there over machines. I like to take care of things during off times, 5-6pm (we like late dinner), or first thing in morning while we’re getting ready for bfast. Absolutely avoid on sea days! Never sent out to ship laundry.
  16. Hey gang, looking for opinions…have a couple of upcoming trips out of FLL. We’ve used the Princess transfer many times in the past and get tired of sitting, waiting for the bus to fill up. Any opinions on taking local transfers (Uber, etc) to pier. Thanks for any input.
  17. Have done quite a few cruises over the years, Princess as well as other lines. There are some who dress formally but (as stated above) they are becoming more of a minority. There are also those who wear shorts or jeans but they too are in the minority. It seems many take the “middle road” as in dresses or nice pant outfits for females and men in collared shirts and slacks. I think another factor may be dressing up to have the pictures taken. And yes, the Caribbean crowd is very different re: dress. Go and enjoy yourselves!
