Currently on the Valiant Lady. This is my cruise #59 and my 9th Cruise Line. To begin with I'm start loving it way too much. Up to now everything is top notch. I'm not that type that is going to write a lengthy review, but just the Pros and Cons (are there any?)
Cons: the regular balcony cabin is smaller that other Cruise lines and so is the bathroom. Not where you take your shower with an impressive water pressure, but the distance between the toilet and the shower door. You hardly can dress up in the bathroom unless you are very acrobatic!
Pros:
No elegant nights
All sodas included (I'm not a big soda drinker though)
All Specialty Restaurants included: Korean BBQ, Italian, Mexican, Steakhouse etc. All of very good quality.
Gratuities included
Gelato incluided
NO (annoying) announcements
A plethora of choices at the Buffet. Healthy and unhealthy. Excellent Sushi and desserts. Everyday more or less than same desserts but also of very good quality and taste.
Free Wifi ( Mails and Social media)
If you have any questions I'll be more than happy to answer them.

Do you get double points when sailing solo?

Your first-timer companion can accompany you to the elite breakfast. But he or she will not get other perks, such as Wi-Fi discounts, free Wi-Fi, happy hour drinks, Café al Bacio drinks, specialty dining discounts
Thanks. I remember that in the past you could take your cabin mate to the Happy Hour.
-
Do your cabin mate who is not Elite Plus get the same perks as you? I know it's slightly different than Royal Caribbean.

What's Rotterdam next port of call? She is right now in Curaçao, and on Wednesday Bonaire but don't see her on Aruba Port schedule tomorrow.

There was no ketchup the first 2 days on my November 19 sailing. After our first stop in Miami they got some cans, so there was no shortage for the remainder of the cruise. Tea was also a challenge the first couple of days, but luckily after Miami it was taken care of.

I was also on this cruise (I had to take a cruise before December 31 in order to keep my Diamond Status) It was my cruise#58 and 2nd with MSC and all in all it was a nice relaxing cruise. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Food was much better that on Divina back in 2016. the only thing was that the juices in the morning were watered down way too much. Getting a bag of tea was also challenging some times. As a Diamond member I had a dinner for two at the Steak House, and it was excellent!
Did not go to any shows, and slept a lot on this cruise. The beds were quite comfortable.
Only in Nassau I went ashore, but was back after 2 hours. On debarkation day I could stay till 9 in my cabin which was a huge plus.

Who was the captain on Meraviglia ?

I know it was a hit when Pullmantur Cruises had Majesty sailing out of Panama. You could board either in Panama, Cartagena or Curacao.

Living on 2 Islands (Curacao & Aruba) in the Caribbean, I always stay on the ship. There is absolutely nothing that call my attention in Labadee other than the beautiful surrounded nature.

Hello -https://new.mta.info/guides/airports/jfk
In my humble opinion and based on your signage, if you are arriving into JFK the day of the cruise and scheduled to arrive @ 1030am from the Netherlands, I would seriously consider an Uber or Lyft. Many flights are delayed, you need to clear customs and become familiar with the public train service. For an extra $25 dollars you will arrive at the port within 30 minutes versus up to 2 hours ( total travel and wait time ). Your time frame is tight and the ship won't wait. Good Luck
Arriving from Miami, so no Customs to deal with. European flights mostly arrive in the afternoon. As a matter of fact I clear customs the day before in Aruba.

Taxi or Uber/Lyft.
I was looking for public transportation.

I'm arriving 10:30 at JFK, what is the easiest/fastest way to get to the cruise terminal using Public Transportation.
-
What does MSC charge for this service? (from ship to Airport)
-
What's the cost for a party of 10 from MCO to PC? And is it cheaper from an Airport Hotel to PC or is the price about the same?
-
Do you need to book a cruise for status match or can you just send your info and you are all set for future cruises (like MSC)
-
So no more Elite breakfast and afternoon happy hour where you can sit and have a talk? Or is just get drinks at the bar between 5-7?

No need to call - current offer is to book balcony or above on any sailing and use 2 CND's.
https://www.ncl.com/cruisenext
That's two for the ROOM, not two per passenger...
Thanks.

The CND's may be, but your booking offers may not be, unless you go through a US travel agent or a US booking site.
I always go thru a US TA.
I will send her a mail tomorrow to see what NCL policy is.

I have a feeling you bought CruiseNEXT deposits. There's usually a limit of one per stateroom unless there's a DoubleUP offer. Your offers may differ from those in the US.
That is what I bought CruiseNext. Thought they were the same. My offer is from the USA though.

I bought 4 FCC back in 2018 and I have to use them by september 2024. Can I use all four to pay for a cruise or can I only use 1 ?

Welcome back! Long time no sea. ☺️
Thanks. After a 3.5 years hiatus in cruising due to the pandemic the Cruise Bug is back.

Are You sure? I got 2 times 24 hours last month on the Explorer. When you sign in you can see how much time is left from your 24 hours period.
Drydock Schedule
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
The main reason for doing a dry dock is not to change carpets and cosmetic things ( of course they will do it while the ship is out of service) but it is for technical purposes that it has to come out of the water.
