  1. That's a shame to hear.

Actually for us, the embarkation was very fast and had to almost run to keep up with the line the last 5 cruises we have been on out of PC. Sorry to hear you had a bad glitch in the process.

With U.S. citizens not having to fill out the customs forms it has helped speed it up also.

Have you cruised out of Tampa at the "new terminal six". Now THAT one is a total nightmare. Old refurbished terminal is way too small for the size of even those mid sized ships. Terrible. :(

Actually my sister arrived yesterday in Philly from Rome, and she told me that she had to fill out the customs paper. Guess it's something new, because last time I entered the USA on March 17 ( Aruba Pre Clearance) I didn't have to fill out the blue form. Will see in a couple of weeks.

  2. It os getting way to late for putting up any repo cruises for sale....

Also recently they have canceled about 50% of the repo cruises to finish work.... it seems this is the new trend!

Has not happened that much in the years before.... they already cancelled more than 5 TA's to finish some work instead!:loudcry:

Correct, but ships coming out of dry dock and not fresh out of the shipyard. The distance is almost double to reach Asia than to do a TA to the States or VV.

  3. People who have reached a certain minimum level of play in the casino are offered the opportunity to go on a "Premier" cruise - a number of these are offered throughout the year from various ports. Each "Premier" guest gets to bring one other guest; the fares are generally lower than a standard cruise fare - though in my opinion they used to be MUCH lower (I did go on some that cost just port fees and taxes). Also, typically the Premier guests will receive some amount of cash at the casino cage - probably in the range of several hundred dollars, though it may vary depending upon the past level of play and the rate that was paid for the cabin. Also, there will be a drinks & hors d'oeuvres reception the first night of the cruise, some type of gift in the cabin daily and drawings / giveaways in the casino multiple times a day throughout the cruise (plus free drinks for the premier player and guest in the casino throughout the cruise). Some people, including some gamblers, have tried to avoid these cruises as the casino can be very busy for the duration of the cruise. If you reach a minimum level of play on a premier cruise, you may be invited to an Elite cruise (same general deal - better swag and prizes) and there are even a few Ultra cruises throughout they year for those whose play reaches the next plateau. Hope that helps.

    Thanksfor the info.

  4. This is NCL's newest ship at sea (is the Bliss on the TA now? Maybe 2nd newest ship at sea.) Regardless, I think it's ridiculous to be discussing NCL sending it into dry dock for renovations at this point.

    Exactly my point!

I don't see that ship coming anytime soon to this part of the world.
