When is she going into dry dock?
-
Just got off the Jewel today. Was a nice relaxing 5 day cruise. Food was good, but nothing exceptional. Ship can use some love. Romina excellent Concierge.
-
Can a D+ member use the Concierge Lounge on the Mariner or Jewel?
-
Thanks. I booked the Nieuw Amsterdam for December 9. Got an amazing deal.

Which is the better one for a Caribbean cruise?
-
What kind of tea do you get in Lido Buffet? I guess just regular Lipton tea?
-
Very interesting development with the announcement today of NCL to send Norwegian Joy- which has been built specifically for the chinese market- to sail year round from the west coast in 2019. Wondering how RC will react to this move.

Is Hernan Zini still with Royal Caribbean?
-
What are the differences between those 2 cabins? which one is bigger and do you get 2 beds or 1 bed and one sofa bed?
-
They need the MDR real estate to put more cabins on the ship;p

Last month I was able to receive Wapp phone calls on the Regal Princess. My phone was the whole week in airplane mode though.
-
Could make sense. When Allure goes for her dry dock in 2020 to Europe, she will continue after her European season on to Australia to arrive there for the summer season.
-
When can we expect the Caribbean itineraries?
-
You might want to book an airport hotel.
-
If you expand my signature you can see that even being a D+ member I only took 2 RC cruises last year. I just love to sail on different lines. So far I took 2 this year one on HAL Koningsdam and Regal Princess. Next one will be on the Adventure of the Seas though.

Did she embark in Rome? I am talking about closed loop U.S. citizens leaving from the U.S. and returning to the U.S. not having to fill out the customs forms now.
Yes in Rome. Btw they haven't been using the machines in Aruba for a couple of months now.
-
That's a shame to hear.
Actually for us, the embarkation was very fast and had to almost run to keep up with the line the last 5 cruises we have been on out of PC. Sorry to hear you had a bad glitch in the process.
With U.S. citizens not having to fill out the customs forms it has helped speed it up also.
Have you cruised out of Tampa at the "new terminal six". Now THAT one is a total nightmare. Old refurbished terminal is way too small for the size of even those mid sized ships. Terrible. :(
Actually my sister arrived yesterday in Philly from Rome, and she told me that she had to fill out the customs paper. Guess it's something new, because last time I entered the USA on March 17 ( Aruba Pre Clearance) I didn't have to fill out the blue form. Will see in a couple of weeks.

It os getting way to late for putting up any repo cruises for sale....
Also recently they have canceled about 50% of the repo cruises to finish work.... it seems this is the new trend!
Has not happened that much in the years before.... they already cancelled more than 5 TA's to finish some work instead!:loudcry:
Correct, but ships coming out of dry dock and not fresh out of the shipyard. The distance is almost double to reach Asia than to do a TA to the States or VV.
-
I have a hunch that Spectrum wil have NO revenue cruises at all outside of Asia....working out the kinks on the repositioning cruise!:loudcry:
I strongly disagree. This will not be the first QM Class that will go to Asia.

Maybe they want to get more people to the buffet, so they can add more cabins where the MDR is right now:p

People who have reached a certain minimum level of play in the casino are offered the opportunity to go on a "Premier" cruise - a number of these are offered throughout the year from various ports. Each "Premier" guest gets to bring one other guest; the fares are generally lower than a standard cruise fare - though in my opinion they used to be MUCH lower (I did go on some that cost just port fees and taxes). Also, typically the Premier guests will receive some amount of cash at the casino cage - probably in the range of several hundred dollars, though it may vary depending upon the past level of play and the rate that was paid for the cabin. Also, there will be a drinks & hors d'oeuvres reception the first night of the cruise, some type of gift in the cabin daily and drawings / giveaways in the casino multiple times a day throughout the cruise (plus free drinks for the premier player and guest in the casino throughout the cruise). Some people, including some gamblers, have tried to avoid these cruises as the casino can be very busy for the duration of the cruise. If you reach a minimum level of play on a premier cruise, you may be invited to an Elite cruise (same general deal - better swag and prizes) and there are even a few Ultra cruises throughout they year for those whose play reaches the next plateau. Hope that helps.

This is NCL's newest ship at sea (is the Bliss on the TA now? Maybe 2nd newest ship at sea.) Regardless, I think it's ridiculous to be discussing NCL sending it into dry dock for renovations at this point.
Exactly my point!
I don't see that ship coming anytime soon to this part of the world.

Please report back, since I'm going in Sept. on the Vista.
