  1. I do not see anything posted post all the Covid requirements.   I was just wonder what would be the best for us to pick as our check in time, we are sailing on the NCL Breakaway.   I am mostly concerned about time waiting in line to go through security.  After security, I do not care as we are staying in the Haven and we should have our own waiting area and priority boarding.   Thanks.

We seem to be getting somewhat off-topic.

Since we are among those who have chosen to travel to Cuba, I am more interested in finding out the status of our cruise.  We have a cruise to Cuba booked in December.

Has anyone talked with HAL and found out anything further as to whether cruises will be allowed to dock in Cuba later this year????

    Thank You!!

This is the only reason I subscribed to this thread.   I and many others are not interested in a 5 day cruise to the Bahamas, where we have been many times, for twice the price.

  3. I just got off the phone with an NCL rep (I know you can get different answers all the time).   I inquired about going to NOLA 2 or 3 days prior to the sailing and was told that was possible.  But I would be charged a $50 pp "early deviation fee" = no problem.  There was no mention of having to book my hotel with NCL.    Also there could be an extra charge if the flight cost more leaving on a different day.   If the cruise is scheduled for a Sunday and the flight was $200 for that day but I chose to leave on Friday and that flight was $300, I would also have to the pay the difference.   SO, if I do not get my flight information prior to final payment I really have no idea what the cost of my trip would be??  They could say I owe another several hundred dollars and I would no recourse since it would be after final payment.   So has anyone actually used this free airfare and completely there trip with feedback?

  4. I must be missing something.    Escape is out of NYC on 2 5-day sailings to Bermuda.  11/10-11/15 and 11/15- 11/20.    Then it looks like there is a 3 days gap, which I have never seen before until 11/23 when she shows up in MIA.

I cannot believe there are no sailings out of NYC - 11/17-11/24 or similar dates for any NCL ship.   We have cruised the week before Thanksgiving twice before and that works great for out schedule.   No sailings?

  5. Two times that we went to St John we rented a car and drove to St Martin - Bay of Fundy. You not only get to walk around on the beach and caves but you can also drive the Fundy Trail. Make sure you try some of the lobster chowder at the the little restaurant right on the beach near the caves... best I have ever had.

  6. It is a weekly pass. If you look in you rmyNCL account, it can be booked before boarding the ship, and you can see the price there. On the Getaway it is about $200 for the week. I suspect that Escape is price similarly.

We sail on the Escape in 60 days. I have looked everywhere on My NCL and cannot find any place to purchase a Thermal Spa package. There are 41 items listed under the My Vacation - Spa - but no Thermal Spa package, just individual spa treatments. How do I book it online before the cruise? Thanks!

  7. Following.

Question - were you able to book any of the shows such as Brat Pack prior to sailing? On the BA we could always book ROA before getting on board but all I see when checking out the entertainment on the Escape is "reservations are not offered" ??

  8. MY BID IS PROCESSING!!!!!!

I am on the 1/7 Pearl, had a Bb midshipish, deck 10, myself, partner, and 20 yo son. Watched extensively on here, and I really thank you all on here for your answers and advice. Anyhow, placed a bid in the “good” range, comparable with other bids in thread. I wanted the h4. There were always, from a year ago when i booked, 6/8 haven h4’s available. One less last week. So 5/8 unsold. I figured it would be this weekend from prior posts with that much left to sell, and 30 days out. This morning my bid changed to processing, no room number yet, but I’ll update!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

    Congrats!!!

  9. One important question could be if the cruise confirmation you have, is actually from NCL originally or if it is from your TA...? Probably a "long shot", but could it be that even though you booked your cruise through your TA on February 2nd, they (the TA) didn't get the reservation through to NCL before the date changed to February 3rd? Or, because of a time difference between where you and/or your TA are located and the NCL head office - there was a time difference that caused this significant date to change to the next day even though it was still February 2nd at "your end"?

If none of the above, then I agree with the other posters that is was probably just an error that you didn't get your extra point for booking more than 9 months before the sailing date, and that this would be solved as soon as the Latitude department at NCL takes a closer look at your paperwork. I know that it might take a long time to get a response from them, as they do handle all Latitude members at one office, and even if they have plenty of staff, I am pretty certain there are extremely many inquiries to them for various reasons.

The paperwork that I am looking with the 2/2 date is from NCL. I actually booked 2 cruises on 2/2 to qualify for the 9 month advance bonus points. The second cruise is not until 9/18 and that also has a date of 2/2. I have emailed and called Latitudes and will just wait until I hear something back from them.

I will post back when I get a resolution. Thanks!

  10. What was the booking date in the upper right corner of your last booking confirmation????

If that remained 2/2/17 then send it to Latitudes.

If not, call the person who booked you.

By the by, did you make the reservation directly with NCL or use a travel agent? If you used a TA , they should be doing the leg work.

Yes, the date on the booking was still 2/2. I booked with a TA... thanks for the tip to let them to the leg work, I will call her tomorrow.

  11. Wanted to give an update. I called NCL and all of my son's cruising history is accurate. It is 100 percent true that he will not receive any perks for our upcoming sailing on the Escape next month but will receive perks for all cruises thereafter.

What number did you call? I have a Latitudes issue myself and got no where calling the 1-866-234-0292. They told me to send an email!

  12. My 14 points that were given were for: 7 points for the sailing and 7 points for the latitude insiders bonus.

I did not get the 7 bonus points for the 9 month advance booking. The cut off date for that was 2/3/2017, I booked on 2/2/17 so there is no reason I should not have gotten it. I was told there is no one I can talk to that I must send another email to Latitude support. Anyone know if there is someone/number that I could speak to?

  13. That's inaccurate. The bidding upgrade system does NOT change the booking date. That is specifically stated in the upgrade offer rules.

Everything hinges on the booking date which appears in the upper right corner of the reservation confirmation form. If that didn't change from the initial booking, point that out to the Latitudes complaint desk. If it did change find out WHY.

When I put in my offer for the Haven I had my TA call and she was told exactly what you stated, that a bid would not effect the original booking. Booking date was still 2/2 ,before the 9 month advance change.

I am waiting for a reply from NCL.

  14. did you make any changes to your booking like price drops, change of promos? If NCL had to cancel your booking and rebook you for the change of prices or promos, you might of lose your original booking date that would of gave you the extra points.

I received double points for my Breakaway cruise i just came home a few weeks ago. That was booked last year, and i made no changes to the booking.

No changes except I had my upgrade offer accepted, which should have had nothing to do with it. I was very careful not to change anything as the extra points would actually make a a difference this time.

  15. I know this is a long lost thread. But I just wanted to post that I did NOT receive the points that I should have for a cruise just taken but booked on 2/2/17. It was a 7 day, with a bonus of double points for booking that particular sailing, which was offered for several Oct/Nov BA cruises out of NYC. I also booked it on 2/2/17 before the elimination of the 9 months advance booking points. So in reality I should have gotten 21 points for this cruise. I did not. I contact NCL but have no heard anything back from them.
