  1. I understand that a Kindle is technology, but I don't see it that way. I see it as a way to have a number of books conveniently available. I don't use it for internet browsing or movies, it's a black and white model that excels at what it's designed for. I especially like it for reading in full sunlight.

I'm the same way with my tablet. Although at home, I *DO* use it for all the internet/technology things, on a cruise ship, it is strictly a library. I tried bringing a couple of actual books once, and like usual, I plowed right through them and ended up "bored" during my quiet time. (I'm a multitasking reader, I can have conversations, people watch, etc, but if you take my book away from me I'm a bit kerfluffled and act like I have nothing to do.)

  2. Was on the Adventure a couple weeks ago with prepaid gratuities. They never appeared on our bill. I wasn't sure if they'd show up, but then be credited or what.

We also had a small credit balance at the end of the week and it went straight back to the card with no issues. (Had some refundable and non-refundable OBC)

  3. I think Paul65 answered your question that you quoted. Some are inside and some are outside. It depends on where you stateroom is and what its muster station is. In other words nobody can answer the question for a ship but only for a particular stateroom, good luck finding out that information. Although as anal as some here are you might actually find the answer.:D:eek:

Adventure does indeed have both indoor and outdoor muster stations. Our muster station this cruise is in one of the dining rooms.

  4. I just had a dream last night about forgetting things (we fly to San Juan on Friday).

Somehow, I wasn't involved in packing or schlepping. We get to security to board and I ask my husband where my "cruise bag" is... It has passports, details about everything, jewelry, crucial stuff! He says "don't worry, it's packed!". "what about my makeup?" "I think most of it is packed"

He laughed when I told him about it because he says he knows better!

We once forgot the camera bag, but hadn't gone but a couple blocks from the house.
