  1. wolfganghowell, we've managed to miss all the damage from the storms *KNOCKS ON WOOD* Sorry to hear you've not been as lucky.

Lerin, I'm sorry your cruise was a bit "off". We've had those vacations, too. Normally, we'd just have one part that wasn't up to par, but other things would make up for it, so it was more tolerable, but I think I'd be a bit miffed too at all the little things that just kept happening. It almost becomes comical after a while like you said...what happens next?!?!?

We've had our formal nights be on port days, and it is rough, and we'll have both on port days on our upcoming cruise, so it does happen.

I think our first cruise (on Carnival Ecstasy) was like that for us. It was fine, but we just didn't feel like it was "worth" the money we paid.

Happy future cruising to you and your family :)

  2. I don't see the humor in this. They had a Port side cabin, but when the ship docked, it docked on the Starboard side which is not uncommon at all.

Read it as if you're assuming the reviewer doesn't know the difference between port and starboard. Then it's funny.

(I'm adding words obviously...) "I booked this cruise and the person on the phone said I would be Port side... great! I'll be able to see all the ports when we dock. Well, they obviously lied, because we were never on the side where the port was. Always ended up looking over the ocean!!"

  3. When we visit next month, our thought was to visit Pigeon Island, but didn't want to take a tour or excursion, just kind of wander on our own. I didn't see much in the way of taxi pricing to go there.

On the way back, we'd like to stop at Antillia for a while.

Since usually we've made arrangements on other islands for the same driver to be back to pick us up, I don't want to be an inconvenience, but I'd also like to do it reasonably priced and not book a driver for the whole day.

    Any suggestions?

  4. Sorry for that (not really). :o

You are most welcome and I'm glad you are enjoying!! :)

ahahahahahah this is hilarious... I am so used to skimming over Legal Disclaimers at work, that I almost bypassed it. Then I was like, wait a minute... those aren't usually on the CC emails!!

I'm having a hard time working because I keep thinking of vacation things :)

  5. Walking around the ship and looking at the various art pieces around the ship (especially in the stairwells) was definitely entertaining. There were some very cool things around the ship, but even more entertaining was the amount of downright odd artsy pieces scattered around. My personal favorite was the shirt that appeared to be covered in nipples in one of the forward stairwells.

Okay... this will be on my list of things we MUST find on our cruise (in 26 days, but who's counting?). :D

  6. Lol!! Nah, tell her you have more views from people like me who just check back to see how many more Bon Voyages you received! [emoji4]

That's exactly my issue... I've checked the thread every time I've logged in to see if you'd come back to say you'd seen all your good wishes. And my cruise is in 32 days, so I'm checking multiple times a day!

  7. They told me that the $37.60 was the select package. I would make sure you take a screen shot of it, because they said they would cancel the package if it wasn't the correct price.

Went and took a screen shot of all 3 plans and then the close up of the premium package, just in case :D

Thanks for the heads up just in case I need them. Can't usually go back in time to get screenshots of what you saw if they change it ;)

  8. On our last cruise, we met up with some bartenders we'd had on a prior cruise. One of the drinks of the day on the first trip was a Key Lime Lemonade (essentially vodka Lemonade with key lime syrup). That became my drink of choice on our later cruise and they were giving me "grief" about not branching out. Since we had the drink package, I told the one bartender he was in charge of picking my drinks that day. I couldn't tell you all of the different things I had, but if you find a good bartender and tell them what you like and what you don't, they generally can pick out things for you to try.

  9. Thanks, Bob... I couldn't remember if the description had it before or not and didn't want to steer them wrong. Maybe I'll just tell them that they should wait and purchase on board to make sure it includes them if that's a necessity.

If they change the packages between now and sailing, it's not like they'd have a "grandfathered" package because they bought it before. (Could you IMAGINE how that would work!??!?!)

  10. Last cruise our kids had the Replenish package and it was great. I was telling someone else about it, but when you go to the "compare packages" downloadable pdf, it doesn't say that non-alcoholic cocktails are included. I can't remember if it did before or not. We'll be on the Adventure if it matters.
