You do that exact thing with OBC....... -
OBC + Purchase of carnival cash
starstruck05 replied to barriechris's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
There is honestly no point in buying Carnival Cash with OBC. You can use OBC for anything on board including the Casino and excursions. Cruise cash limits you. -
Water... can I call room service and order more watet?
starstruck05 replied to bobbismith's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
The overall price is the same. You are paying per bottle onboard rather than the pack price however so therefore paying gratuities per bottle. -

Yes you can order more bottles of water via room service or from a bar. The cost usually comes out slightly more expensive than pre-ordering as they charge per bottle onboard. -
Beagle Goes North To New Brunswick!
starstruck05 replied to Beagleluv6107's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Was the $180 for 1 car or both cars for the 4 days? I thought NOLA parking has gotten expensive at $175 for 7 days ($25 a day). I should stop complaining! -
I was just on the Glory at the beginning of the month and we did the late night snack twice and it was busy both times. We went right as they opened at there were at least 20 people waiting both times. I'm happy it's back.

Souvenir Growler Fill-up with Cheers Program
starstruck05 replied to MasterMason's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Sadly there is no Pig and Anchor on the Glory. (Just left her on Sunday) -
You may not need to move the date. If you need a few more days, call Carnival and explain and they usually can work with you with possibly moving the final payment date. Otherwise yes you may run into a penalty for changing the date but depends on who you speak to.

I don't know if half the comments on here missed it but to the Original point of this post, only on TWO ships is there no free drink D/P party. The Mardi Gras and the Celebration for the very specific reason as there is no bar to serve the drinks where the party would need to happen. On those two ships (and possibly the Jubilee as well) they serve a glass of wine and you get the drink voucher loaded on your S & S. Every single other ship the party is as normal and nothing has changed.

Drinks On Us! Included While Playing In The Casino
starstruck05 replied to rizkeeper's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
It is only for the first two people in the cabin. It will not cover the 3rd person. If you called normal Carnival customer service that is probably why they gave the wrong info. It's a Casino offer so you have to contact the casino department with any promotional questions. -
Mardis Gras Western or Celebration Eastern?
starstruck05 replied to 1019throw's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
You're about equal with beach access for either itinerary. Cozumel has no direct beach access near the port. You pretty much need to taxi but plenty of options if you do. (Been more times than I can count) Same in San Juan (I haven't been yet. I go in Dec.) From research, The beaches are close but possibly still need to take a taxi. All your other destinations all have beaches or pools at the port. -
My suggestion is the opposite. Do as soon as you get on board and make it easier for everyone. Once it's done, you can relax, have lunch, a drink and no worries.

You go to your muster station as soon as you get onboard to check in and see the life jacket demonstration. You are supposed to watch the full length safety video in your cabin or in the Hub App for more detailed information

You should file a police report with Baltimore PD. If it was stolen and done by shoreside staff, they do not work for Carnival but fir tge port so any investigation will need to do done by the actual police department or port authority (basically police but for the port only).

Neither has the parts where the water from the dispenser is going into the cups. 🤷🏾♀️
-
This! I'm annoyed at this constant conversation. Most water bottles today Do not dispense in the same place you drink. Probably half of cruisers these days have Stanley cups that you have to completely remove the part you drink from to refill. If filled properly, you will not come into any contact with the drink dispenser. There is no difference with Carnival's drink dispenser and the water bottle fill up stations at your job, theme park, etc and none of those have cups on the side for you to "fill up" with. For the record, the Carnival sign is meant to remind you to use a fresh cup every time you get a drink like you get a fresh plate with every visit to the buffet. If it was specifically meant for water bottles it would take 4 or 5 or more fresh cups each time I want to fill up my bottle.

Yep, really the only reason to pre-book. My mom usually does the first sea day. The issue is most of our recent times, they did not refund in the time frame and it was a trip to GS. I think she has settled on not pre-booking this time.
-
Thank you for responding. In my mom's case the added tip has been more than 18% more than once.

Hey yall! I have a random spa experience question. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned the issue my mom had before with prepayment for the spa using the 20% discount and the spa recharging for the services once they are done. They spa team has also added their own tip to the charge with this recharge. It's "supposed" to refund the original charge but last cruise my mom had to go to GS to get it fixed. So the main question is has anyone had this same experience recently? Have you had the spa team put their own tip on your SS card? Have you ever tipped cash in the spa? Sorry for all the questions but we are leary to pre book the spa again after last time but we sail again in 40 days.

Yes, you will need to confirm who is going before check in.

As long as it is a State issued ID it is fine. Not all states issue lifetime IDs but yes it is a thing. She currently does not need to get a Real ID unless she wants to right now and it has no effect on the actual cruise.

Every cruise during October will have a Halloween deck party and costume contest. There also special drinks as well. It's a fun time and you will see a wide range of costumes. I wish I was able do do a cruise in October this year.

Trivia would be more fun without cheaters
starstruck05 replied to USU_Aggie's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I love Triva on a cruise and 100% agree its ruined by cheaters. I actually won Harry Potter triva with 11 questions right because no one cheated! But the cruise before someone got all the questions right including the name of a teacher who is only mentioned once in the books and never in the movie. No way someone would have known that off the top of their head. I wish they would do like a phone lock box or something for triva like they do at some bars.
