  1. We have a day pass at the Renaissance for $40 pp arriving 11/4 . This includes chair, umbrella , $20 food/beverage credit and use of shower, beach towels etc. Email the hotel. they are very prompt with their replies No payment is required until check in.

  2. Once off the Carolina coast things start warming up .If I remember ,it's in the afternoon on day 2 . Although I've never done it ,I believe there is a place to check your carry on once onboard until your stateroom is ready . Usually the doors to the staterooms are closed until the rooms are ready . There are loungers on deck 7 . I've never encountered a problem with spray on the balcony so you might check that out .

  3. If I recall, I booked through the Wyndam website . Check and see which has the better pricing . I'm usually willing to pay a little more if no deposit and free cancellation is available at booking .

  4. We stayed there on our first trip to NOLA . Nice boutique bank hotel. We wanted to be closer to the Quarter on our next trips so we've stayed elsewhere since then . Nice area and not too far from catching the St. Charles streetcar .

  5. We've stayed at the Crown Plaza. It borders Canal and Bourbon Streets . It's an older hotel but fine . Location made it easy for walking or hopping the street car . We've also stayed at the Renaissance which is about a block away from the Crown Plaza . Location makes walking to a lot places .We also have stayed at the Wyndham on Poydrus . This is a boutique hotel that once was bank. Interesting but the location wasn't as convenient as the others . This year we're trying the Hilton Riverside which is walkable to the Julia Street pier . Street car stops right in front and is convenient to the shopping mall . It has good reviews and we got a terrific deal on Hotwire.

  6. We used NCL's Premium Air for our return flight from a transatlantic and had a good experience . The flight information was available to print @ 60 days out . We had requested no more than 1 stop on a legacy airline . That is what we got --- British Air/ American . I believe there was a price drop in what we paid for airfare because we ended up in Business Priority which was great .

  7. In Europe we stayed aboard our ship . One time in the US we were escorted off the ship and then were escorted back aboard . It took only a few minutes . Last year in San Juan everyone staying aboard met in the Asian restaurant were checked off and went on with our day . There will be a letter in your stateroom explaining the procedure for your particular B2B . All in all very easy .

  8. Check with NCL . I believe you can arrange a transfer through them . We used NCL pre and post cruise . pre cruise we did stay at a hotel NCL used in Rome so transfer was from there . In reading the forum for Mediterranean / Italy a number of people have used Rome in Limo . Venture over to that forum . I think you get some good information with regard to transportation .

  9. We are booked at the Hilton for November . We used Hotwire and got the hotel for $100 (includes the tax ) . If you check Hotwire's website it is a 4 star French Quarter/Mississippi River hotel . You do prepay so if you need something cancellable this probably isn't for you . We also get the insurance which is $4 per day . We have used this site many times successfully .Hope this helps .
