I was able to combine the Amex and Diamond discounts on a recent cruise. You don't have to book directly through Amex but I believe that your travel agent does need to call them. Some TAs may not be interested in the extra work

I'm traveling with my 5 year old twins on Allure leaving August 20th. I had then vaccinated recently (for the cruise as well as school) and uploaded the documentation yesterday. The app shows it was accepted. Today, I received an email for one child stating I should schedule her unvaccinated antigen test. Normally I would guess that they simply had a list that hadn't been updated but I didn't get an email for her brother. Should I be concerned and contact RCCL? Logic would dictate that they are vaccinated and their information was accepted and I shouldn't worry about it. However, this is cruising and logic doesn't always apply. I am concerned that at least one of the children is on some unvaccinated list and we may have problems trying to board (I am planning on doing the proctored pre cruise test). Has anyone had this happen? I know I'm being paranoid but we are so excited for the cruise and it would be horrifying to not be allowed to board.

We are on that sailing - it's President's week and a lot of Northeast schools are off. Our TA had groups of rooms blocked. You may want to try locating a TA who has a block of rooms. We did book 2 rooms for the three of us though - I'm putting the kids in a connecting cabin.

As a mother of twins (now about to turn 5), I appreciate your ambition and they seem pretty seasoned already. A couple of years ago, I booked a cruise and posted on here asking for tips. Some folks were so rotten that I wound up cancelling it. I was nervous about it to begin with and some of the comments just made me not want to go. That being said, we have traveled plenty of other places with our little beasts. I second the umbrella stroller recommendation and suggest you see if you can figure out a way to carry the umbrella strollers when necessary (i.e. some sort of sling, backpack or whatnot) for those times you are faced with stairs and have to carry the stroller and the small humans down (or at least hold their hands). Have a wonderful time!

We had been planning on getting a cabana at Barefoot Beach but that price is outrageous! I did notice when I clicked on it in the cruise planner, it said I could confirm up to 14 people. That seems like alot.

It appears to be a bit random. I also wonder if there isn't a preference given for people with only two booked in a cabin. By way of example, my sister and I are taking our kids on the Allure in August. I booked the rooms through a travel agent for both of us. I have myself and three kids in one crown loft suite. My sister and her son are in the one next to us. She is able to participate in Royal Up whereas I get the error message.
