I am not trying to avoid looking like a tourist. Many times we are told to not wear bling...to me the medallion is bling. I am not afraid to visit places or get off the ship.

I just choose not to let people know I am on a cruise ship. I feel that there are some who think those who cruise have money and tend to be a target more than tourist who are visiting for a few days....

  3. When I am in port I try my best to blend in and not advertise that I am on a cruise vacation. I take off any bling and do not take anything that has the name Princess on it.

I am excited to experience my first medallion cruise in a couple of weeks. It occurred to me that I will be wearing my medallion on my wrist. Any suggestions or wise words as to what to do with the medallion so that I am not advertising that I am on a cruise?

I thought about putting covering over the Princess logo......

It sounds like they've been beating that two weeks...GOOD!

So, if they're shipping by Fedex, is there any kind of advance notice--like an email with the tracking ID number?

I got notification that I was getting a package from Singapore a couple of days prior to receiving the package

The one time in the past when I had to call to get a second credit for a second segment of a B2B booked as a single cruise, they did the same thing, added a new sailing with one cruise credit, but it had 0 days.

    Correct...mine also said "0" days

will we each get 2 credits for taking an 'upsell' to a suite - not an original suite booking ? - showing as one right now

I recently did an upsell to a suite. After the cruise, I contacted Princess and they did not change the cruise to "two" but rather added a separate sailing for that same cruise for an additional cruise credit. (so I did get two credits but my cruise history does not say "2" for that sailing)

  7. We bought the daily 300 MB for $35.99 for the 3 day cruise on the Emerald. (Upgraded from our 150 minutes). The only issue we had was the afternoon that there was no satellite coverage. It moved pretty fast for us. Sorry you had issues...

  8. As others have stated, go see the Maitre d on embarkment day. if needed. There will be a time listed in the Patters to meet him/her. We met another couple on the ship one time and then found out we would be sailing with them again. I did not want our reservations linked. I went to the Maitre d and got us all sitting together. It was no problem so I would not worry about it at all. Have a great cruise!

Has anyone had the problem with EZ air where the airline keeps changing your flight time? We booked EZ air on our last cruise, flying Delta Boston to Ft. Lauderdale, and Delta changed our return flight 3 times, the last time would have us getting back home after midnight. I ended up canceling the EZ Air and booking flights on JetBlue out of Worcester MA which had the advantage of free parking (vs. $16 a day at Logan "Economy" parking) and a better return time.

It is not EZair changing the flight time...it is Delta....

  10. okay...kind of new to Carnival (they have not record of me - sailed in 1990) and I see that I have to wait to do online registration.

I need to book our flight home from the cruise. We are using award travel to get there. When I tried to see about booking a flight, I was told I have to wait until 6 months prior to my cruise.

In my experience booking one way is cheaper with the cruise line than directly with the airline but I have never heard of having to wait....what if the flights book up?

I am sailing in July 2019 from San Juan.

    Thanks :-)

  11. Sounds like you got a flexible ticket and Princess has not bought the ticket yet since you have the ability to make changes until 45 days out.

    You have two options:

    1. wait for Princess to buy the ticket @ 45 days

    2. Call Princess to request the flight be ticketed now. You can no longer make changes to your flight without penalty. A form used to be required but I learned recently that now all you have to do is call and request early ticketing. This request can be made directly to Princess even if you are working with a TA.

  12. There were coupons on the Ocean Concierge App on the Regal. They looked to be the same type of coupons that were usually in the coupon booklet. I did not notice a BOGO but I did not find them until 3 days into the cruise.

  13. $10 for taxi ($20 for 2 ) to ferry

$8.15 ferry to St. John ($16.30 for two)

$6 Taxi to Trunk Bay ($12 for two)

Trunk Bay currently free ($10 for two if there is a charge)

$6 Trunk Bay to Ferry ($12 for two)

$8.15 Ferry to Red Hook (16.30 for two)

$10 taxi back to port ($20 for two)

so $106 if they charge for Trunk Bay and $86 if they do not charge :)

$96 if they do not charge for Trunk Bay
