  1. Being able to cancel up to 45 days is part of Flexible airfares but not for Restricted airfares which are "Allowed. An airline credit memo will be recorded minus applicable fees" for any changes or cancelations.

    Yep :D

OP asked about flexible air and that is what my post was referring :) :)

Thanks for the info about restricted. I did not even know that you could get any money back for those fares. :)

  2. Trying to decide if we want to fly or drive to FLL for January 2017 cruise.

If I book flexible tickets with EZ Air can I cancel them without penalty if we decide to drive? We would make that decision for certain before the final cruise payment date. Thanks!

You can cancel up to 45 days before your cruise and get a refund for the EZ air payment.

I got a refund at 50 days when I booked directly with the airline for a cheaper rate.

  3. We ate at the Horizon Buffet, Allegro Dining Room (late seating), Seafood Bar for Sushi ($10 per roll but that included shrimp salad, seaweed salad and Edamame), Winemaker's Dinner ($40 per person), and the Crown Grill ($25 per person) .

We also ate in the dining room for breakfast. After being on a few Princess cruises the dining room menu got old. The Horizon Buffet for breakfast was awesome. There are more choices at the buffet. We ate there a couple of times before the Norovirus break out happened. It was a very small event but wanted to stay away from the masses.

Lunch onboard was either from the grill, pizza or Alfredo's.

  4. We could not go to our cabins until 1 pm.

We were in M106. That cabin is a mini-suite (upsell) facing forward.

    It was WORST cabin ever.

Why do I say it was the worst? Because I do not want you all to book it so I can have it whenever I cruise!!!:p:p:cool:

Yes, there was some vibrations when we left the ports.

We did have one day with some swells and I could feel the movement.

There were two TVs in the mini suite and when we used the remote to turn one off the other one would turn on. It was very comical.

This cabin was so roomy and the balcony was awesome. The folks on shore lie when they say access is restricted. I created my own sanctuary on the balcony and got some sun. (I was a chair hog out there...put my towel on it early to be sure no one else got it )

No one ever once said the balcony could not be used (nor is there a max capacity)

Even my hubby who says get the inside cabin to save money was raving about this cabin the whole time on the cruise.

  5. So I had a plan to scan the Patters each night using the Camscan app on my phone. While at the airport, I uploaded the scan to photo bucket and completing my plan made it so easy to get them on to Cruise Critic. :)

So as I was saying earlier, everyone it seemed had the same idea to show up at 1030

No one was following the "suggested" time to arrive :D:D

  6. So we have a late flight back home and an excursion after the cruise, what are the rules for having Princess take your luggage to the airport?

You can use EZ check. Flights have to be before midnight. It cost $20 plus any airline baggage fee. The $20 includes your boarding pass and unlimited weight for your luggage :D

Place your bags out the night before we disembark and pick them up at your home airport. You can track your bags with most airlines.

    Hope to see you soon!

  7. Just be sure that the flight over is DeltaOne in all flights. Sometimes, when you book, it shows a mixed cabin arrangement - you may have First on the domestic leg and economy on the international leg. Just saying…

Delta Comfort + is not a separate premium economy cabin like some international airlines have. It is the first few rows of economy and just has those features a previous poster listed. If I've got to be in the "back of the bus", I always pay the extra - I like that extra inch of recline and the extra inch of legroom!

I'll agree about Alitalia Magnifica class - those were the best lay-flat seats I've had so far on my TATL flights. And, the food and wine were definitely the best I've had TATL!!!! Unfortunately, I had to pay for mine (with 96,000 FF miles).

It is first/business both domestic and international

  8. Not familiar with "Delta Comfort" (which might be different for international or domestic??). Is it extra legroom *only* or is it also a wider, softer seat with more recline? And perhaps better service/food/snacks?

[For example JetBlue's "extra space" is literally just that: Extra space for legroom. The seats are identical.]

Usually the "premium economy" class costs more than $100 extra for international, at least when it is a really different seat. Especially if so, that's a great price, in my mind.

It sounds like you got a great price for the trip, with that business/first outbound.

Do you know if the outbound trip has a flat bed, or a nice recliner seat?

And, how did you get that price? :)

Delta Comfort has more leg room, more recline and free "spirits"

There are "beds" in business/first class.

I had booked through Princess EZair on the first day that the flights became available. I booked Economy both ways....I check things frequently and our schedule changed and so did the economy to first....I could not believe my eyes...I can sleep anywhere anytime but DH is not able to rest unless he is in a bed...

    I know

  9. So somehow we ended up with first/business over to Europe (night flight) and Economy back to the US (day flight) for 1600 each. (Delta) I can upgrade to Comfort for $100 each

I can see Economy both ways for $1000 each.... (American/BA)

My gut says to keep what I have but my bargain hunting self says to save that grand.

    Please confirm my gut.... :D:D:D:D
