  1. Yes interested to know as my Medallion app is showing we have to upload the Neg RAT result. If so this seems to have changed from the information provided by Princess earlier.
  2. Slightly off topic but I remember a family boarding the Eurostar in London with porters wheeling 2 or maybe 3 trolleys stacked high with LV luggage (I am guessing genuine based on the clothing of the passengers).
  3. I had a gorgeous beaded black gown on one QM2 cruise - loved it but it is just tooooo heavy to take away. We did meet a couple who had 72kg each of luggage (hair clippers, hot rollers etc etc) and another woman who had 7kg of jewellery. They obviously don't travel light. I prefer carry on size as it is just too hard to wrangle heavy cases around, not so much on board, but on public transport and in cities boarding and disembarking.
  4. Though to get the 14kg you need to have 2 smaller bags. 2 x 105cm bags = 48cm + 34cm + 23cm One piece up to 10kgs; 14kgs total. OR 1 x 115cm bag = 56cm + 36cm + 23cm Up to 10kgs. This limit does no apply for Dash 8 flights though oversize would become 'Premium hand luggage' - left at the steps as you board and retrieved when disembarking. I am wondering what the Embaer services are like for carry on as smaller than the 717.
  5. It's horses for courses It really does depend on a range of factors - we have an expedition cruise on Silversea booked for over $1,200 pdpp but that is only something we do every few years (not regularly) and that includes J class airfares to UK etc and is totally inclusive, a Cunard QG we have booked for a short cruise was much cheaper per day when we booked it but way more expensive now for the PG and 2 Princess cruises this year are around the $180-$200 pppd for mini suite, drinks and internet. Basically we look at where we want to go and what we are prepared to pay (and can afford at the time).
  6. And they don't come in a short, chubby size and often can't be taken up very well. I wear capri pants as full length! 😀
  7. Whilst there may be congestion, I am pretty sure the OP is concerned about the luggage not arriving in time for the cruise. Plenty of QF people still waiting for theirs. It will depend who they are flying with but QF has 10kg carryon across all classes. Jetstar is pretty draconian and weighs total carryon for all pax - handbag, coat and carryon bag.
  8. I just looked up the PDS and covid is now covered for a multi-night cruise (new from 22 April) so my info is out of date. Apologies for the bum steer!
  9. I had a feeling that Covermore do not cover Covid if you get sick on the cruise. The article I read seemed to imply the company actually covered less (for a higher price). May have changed now though.🙂
  10. You are aware though that the MP doesn't do anything - his/her office will send it off to a public servant in a department to write the reply. Due to caretaker conventions, most ministerial correspondences are handled by the relevant department. A QLD govt MP will have a similar arrangement (just no caretaker) as above as well.
