  1. Once around the ship is 1/3 of a mile (assuming the "proper" promenade deck of ships before Royal)

Assume walking speed about 3 miles an hour

You burn around 250 calories walking one hour

So: 9 laps takes one hour and burn 250 calories

Therefore one lap will burn: let's generously round it up to 30 calories.

Therefore... don't even THINK of going to the buffet after just one or two laps;p

    LOL...no soup for you!:D

  2. All the time but people do get through, they usually don't bother people on the first night but remind them it is not acceptable on subsequent nights. Also, occasionally you see the person who did not get their luggage.

I agree with you about the first night...much looser requirements.

  3. Thanks to another recent post I contacted the Breeze requesting a reservation for two during my birthday celebration cruise this coming August. I have wanted to do this on previous cruises but never tried to get reservations. It's a lot of money.

Our reservation was confirmed earlier this evening. I am so excited!

    Enjoy!

  4. Yes, they will do it onboard by collecting our passports. That's not the problem. The problem is Princess is overcharging for the visa. It should only be $5 plus a $1 card fee, not $45 plus the $1 fee. Vietnam changed the fee in January 2015 for cruise passengers taking organized tours overland.

Interesting. Thanks for posting this. I wonder how Princess will respond.

  5. By having fewer stewards do more rooms, Carnival can pay less employees. Which means more $ for their bottom line. Until guests start to complain to corporate (instead of to the stewards) they will otherwise assume their formula works and it will become the status quo on all of their ships.

Unfortunately, I think you are correct.

  6. Can't agree more. We have used the same agent for over 20 years' date=' and she saves us money every time we travel. It's nice to have an advocate in our corner esentially for free, since it costs no more to book with her than to book direct.[/quote']

Same here...same travel agent and saved a bundle.
