  1. I totally understand how you fell. My husband and I are booked on a cruise out of New Orleans for March 30th (Carnival Sunshine). We arrive a day early and will be staying at the La Quinta, which is $179 per night (not including taxes). What I did was to search for hotels in the area of the port. Coming back from the cruise, we have to stay in New Orleans that Sunday night and the prices are out of control. The same hotel that offered $179 is now over $300 for one night, which I cannot do. So I choose an area that is near the French Quarters and searched for hotels. I haven't booked anything yet, but hope to in the next few days. Good luck and don't give up, you will find a hotel.

As for parking, the majority of the hotels charge for parking and they average about $18 - $20 per night. We are not driving to New Orleans, but instead will be taking the train. If we drove, it would be $20 for the first night, then $112 for parking at the pier. I just felt that we could save money if we took the train.

We are on the Sunshine 3/30/14 too. I like using Priceline and we'll see how it worked out for us this time. I bid for an at least 3* in the French Quarter and I "won" Chateau Dupre for 109 a night. We are staying 2 nights. I like the price and the location sounds excellent. Reviews aren't very good but we've stayed at other quirky places without great reviews and had a great time.

  2. We have 10278 on the Breeze, our first Lido balcony:D:D

Cannot find ANYTHING (pictures), so I have been living vicariously through Dream and Magic pictures.

    It's all good.

They are beautiful and I know mine will be even better.....lol

    24 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were next door in 10276 recently and I put pictures of that room up on cruise line rooms dot com. Your room should be very similar. Have a great cruise!

  3. I loved the Alchemy Bar on my recent Conquest cruise. We went everyday and our Mixologist, NOT BARTENDER, her name was Tatiana. She was great and always made our drinks extra strong. My favorites were, "The Deal Closer", "Seduction", "Cucumber Sunrise", "An Apple a Day", and "Antioxidant".

I spent my whole summer "perfecting" the cucumber sunrise at home because I loved it so much on the Liberty in March. :p

  4. I hope this link works, it just came yesterday and I LOVE it!! It was so inexpensive. It had no wrinkles at all when I took it out of the package. It is very light so will pack well.

I loved it so much that I ordered another color this morning:

These qualify for free shipping if the order is over 25 dollars so I just added a small item that I need anyway to get the free shipping. I would have happily paid 25 for these dresses.

    :)
  5. I am really enjoying this conversation on the Cheers program. We are trying to decide if we want to try it next month. By the examples given I think we would save money. I can't find our past S&S receipts but I know that even if we didn't spend as much, we always felt a "cha-ching" with every receipt we signed and would check our account on the tv with one eye open for fear of what it would show we had done the previous evening. Even if we don't get our "monies worth" every day, I think the overall feeling of all inclusiveness is worth trying it out for us.

  6. How does a beer chaser work with a bloody mary? Is it a seperate charge and do we have to wait 5 minutes after the bloody mary to get it? I'm not talking a large glass or a bottle/can of beer, just a normal chaser that we get. I'm hoping it is considered part of the drink and is served with it. Has anyone had this on Cheers yet?

  7. We visited both places recently. Jack's shack was cooking chicken and it smelled amazing. We didn't eat though. We had a couple of beers & bought a tank top from their store. We had a great time there.

Local village was ok but we only had one beer & left. We had more fun at Jack's. Then we went back to Margaritaville & played in the pool there. Can't wait to go back to Grand Turk in February!
