I'd consider 6246 which is a hump cabin. I've stayed in 6648 on the other side and loved the location close to the aft elevators. Easy access to almost all the food and the promenade. Most of the other cabins would be too far forward for me. Deck 13 is just below the pool deck (possibility of noise from chairs being moved).

We have booked cabin 6246 on the Anthem for September. Do you have any photos of the cabin/balcony you were in?

OK so we are 30+ days out and still only show GTY. I went to the Royal Up link and it allows me to put in  a bid for 4 different categories. We booked a Obstructed View Balcony GTY. Our friends who booked at the same time through the same TA received their cabin which was a 3D Balcony in a great location on the back side of the hump with a slightly larger balcony. We will be happy even if we are in an obstructed balcony but don't want to bid on an upgrade before getting an assignment.

I booked https://keepitsaltyadventures.com/  for our party of 8. I will do a review when we return.

We had the best day on this excursion. The captain and his wife and mate were great and they planned an awesome day. We booked the 4 hour trip (it was a full 5 hours) and they took us to Rose island to snorkel at an amazing reef. We then went to an area they said was a turtle preserve. It was an easy depth and water was calm, good for any level swimmer. They then took us to a private beach with awesome sand and clear water. They setup volleyball in the water and let us hang there for a while. Some of the guys wanted to fish so we went to some deeper water on our way back and fished. Overall it was a great day and everyone said it was a highlight of our cruise.

  4. We were actually in the exact spot of the attack the week earlier while in Nassau on the AoS. There was another group snorkeling in the same area as us but they were dropping dog food in the water which was causing the fish along the reef to frenzy. It actually made me nervous as this is what brings the sharks in to join in on the free meal.

Different size vehicles but generally between 12-15. The $7 minibus shuttles are shared ride so you don’t pre-book. They run back and forth between the Dockyard and Horseshoe during the day.

I'm not sure where I read it but I saw something about a surcharge for taxi's and mini buses on Sundays and holidays. Does anyone know anything about this?

Both the minibuses and taxis pick up at the bottom of the hill. Your choice. You would need two taxis but I would do the two taxis.

We are a group of 8 that want to go to Horseshoe beach. How many people do the mini buses hold? Does it pay to try to pre-book one of these?

  7. Has anyone heard of, been on or knows of someone who used "Keep it salty adventures" 4 hour private yacht trip in Nassau Bahamas? We are sailing into Nassau in June on an RCI ship and looking to book this excursion directly. It is available on Tripadvisor but I messaged the Bahama board of tourism and they have not heard of them.

Looking for any information good or bad!!!

  8. Thanks for the info.

Can you take the bottle up to a deck and hang out at night with it? I haven't acquired a taste for drinking it at dinner with a meal. I was just thinking about going somewhere up top and watching the stars. :D

This should not be a problem...i just wouldn't advertise it... We generally do as the other poster said and have a glass or two while getting ready for dinner and have carried a glass or two to dinner. Cheap wine is the way we roll...

  9. We will be in Curacao on May 2nd, 2018 for the first time. We are a group of (8) 4 couples and are trying to decide on an "All-Inclusive" or trekking to a beach on our own. The all inclusive are about $120 and some include free transportation food and drink. The options I have found are the following:

    • Santa Barbara Beach - $117

      • Free transport

      • Free Wi-Fi

      • Free Towel Service

      • 3 Pools / Beach

      • Unlimited Food & Drink

      [*]Sunscape Resort, Spa & Casino - $110

      • Self Transport (+$80 for a group of 8)
      • Free Wi-Fi
      • Towel Service $$$
      • 5 Pools / Beach
      • Unlimited Food & Drink

Going to a local beach could be considerably less depending on what beach fees, chairs umbrella / Food / Drinks cost are.

Would appreciate any experience from past cruisers who have been to Curacao and have done either or both of the options above. Any other suggestions would also be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance...
