This is not a typo. They are clearly using military time. So they arriving 1 min. after they are leaving. Explanation- they are in the Bermuda Triangle where Time doesn't matter! It's science!
OK, I'm not going crazy and if I had seen what you posted I would not have even mentioned it. I cut and pasted the itinerary from the RCI website and if you go on any online cruise TA site you will see the same. It shows that we arrive on 6/18 at 12:00PM and depart on 6/18 at 11:59AM. I do know the difference between military time and standard and as I said above I would not have posted this if it was the way you posted it. Unfortunately the formatting from the website did not stay but you could see what I mean in Red below.

Maybe travel back to a time when there was less nickel and diming and constant upselling and when food quality in the main dining room was a priority?
...and a midnight buffet, well at least on one night as I think more than that would be a waste.

So on our June 2019 sailing I noticed that the itinerary shows us arriving 1 minute after we depart from Nassau. Hope the photo attaches sand I am sure it is just a typo. Or did Royal figure out time travel?
Where do they put the flux capacitor on the ship?

Balcony doors are under heavy spring loaded closers so doors cant be left open. Newbie cruisers dont know this and walk in or out the door and let it slam behind them. If Carnival would just add shock absorber closers so they dont slam but instead close gently it would solve this issue but apparently when designing ships and ordering door hardware they just go with whats cheap.
"Shock Absorbers" would not allow the door to latch under pressure. Maybe better/softer gasket would do the trick. Or better signage "DO NOT SLAM DOOR" would be best, although most people don't read.

You could have the wait staff in the dining room bring it covered on a dessert plate or your cabin steward say he found the ring and ask if it was hers then you take a knee. Either way make sure you don't lose the ring...

I have booked several cruises for large parties but Carnival (as well as most other Cruise Lines) do not consider it a group unless the is a minimum of 8 cabins and 16 passengers. Being as the cruise lines do not discount anymore unless you have a group that fits this category you won't get any special discount.
Wish I had better news and you could always ask your TA for additional OBC but looks like you have already booked.
Hope this helps...

The pipework and pumps are underneath. When someone turned them on at 3am both the wife and I woke up.

What deck and cabin were you in? I will try to stay clear of this as I am booking several cabins for this sailing.

Looking to book a promenade view inside cabin on the Adventure of the Seas. Can anyone tell me what category and deck/s these cabins are? Also if you have been in one of these cabins what are the pros and cons. Photos are welcome...

We are leaning toward the AoS as it is so close to home and we would be able to get rides to the port. This would save us the cost of parking and save us from the 3 hour drive. We have never been to Bermuda so that is a plus. Having been on the Explorer I know the family will love the whole promenade and the many upgrades I have seen after the recent dry dock.
I am 59 days out for my next cruise but then I will have to wait for this one the following June. I need to have something to look forward to.
Have you been to Bermuda? Are the public beaches free and walkable from the ship?

Thanks for the info, we have actually found that the Adventure of the Seas, which has just been renovated is sailing out of Bayonne, NJ. This port is under 15 minutes from us and an 8 night for a few dollars less than the Grandeur. It would save us the 3+ hour drive to Baltimore and the parking as we could get rides to the port. We have been on the Explorer which is the same class ship as the AoS and loved it. The rest of our group has never been on RCI so it will be a first. We have everyone coming over this week to vote on either the Grandeur or the Adventure. With your help and the fact that the Adventure goes to Bermuda it looks like that will be our choice.
Thanks in advance if anyone has info on the AoS sailing out of Port Liberty, NJ.

We are looking to book a family cruise out of Baltimore, MD in June 2019. The two ships that sail from this port are the Grandeur of the Seas and the Carnival Pride. The Grandeur is a 9 night while the Pride is a seven night. The cost of sailing is almost equal but the costs for the Grandeur ports would be more for us. Overall the Grandeur would cost us more but it is 2 additional nights.
We have sailed on the Pride 3 times and only sailed on RCI (Explorer of the Seas) once out of Bayonne, NJ.
Looking to see if anyone has done both or at least the Grandeur and another Carnival ship for comparisons. Also on port ideas for the Grandeur ports (Canaveral; Miami; Key West)
Thanks in advance for any information.

My daughter and her BF did the bike tour of Freeport that brought them by some shopping areas and a beach. They had a blast...we stayed at Senior Frogs with the rest of our (rather large group) and had a blast.

Mr. Sanchos was a great time with good drinks and incredible food. We had a group of 6 (3 couples) and shared a cab (van from the cruise port). I don't have the prices but if you search it there was several people who posted the cab price list on these boards. They had plenty of shopping opportunities outside the resort with little pressure.
When the cab dropped us off we walked in the main gates and met with a girl at a desk who looked up our reservation (made online before sailing). We each paid separately then she introduced us to Jose and said that he would take care of us for the rest of the day. He gave us a quick tour of the facilities then directed us to the beach and set us up with beach chairs. He then showed us to a table under large thatched umbrellas for shade. We were able to safely keep all of our belongings here and after giving Jose our drink order we found our way into the water. Jose found us in the water to deliver our drinks and told us that he would get another round.
After some time in the water and several margaritas we headed for the shade. Jose gave us menus and told us that everything on the menu was included and unlimited. Whatever we ordered he brought us two orders. We were glad he did as the food was incredible. Everyone agreed that the garlic shrimp and coconut shrimp was the best they have had.
Overall we all agreed that if we go back to Cozumel we would definitely go back to Mr. Sanchos. I would upload photos but I am not on my computer where I have my cruise photos. If I get a chance later I will upload some for you to view. It was really worth the price for the all inclusive.

Not a fan of the YTD...We did it once when it was just the wife and I. We don't mind being sat with other people and did not want to wait so we requested whatever would be quickest. Most nights they sat us at a large table but we had to wait until they filled the table before they would take our order. The whole process seemed to take away from what we like about the MDR on cruises. We enjoy having the same wait staff each night who by the second night seem to pick up on what we like. When they do their little shows (singing dancing) we are at the right time and place (after main course waiting for dessert).
I understand that you can request the same wait staff each night even if at different times/tables but it's just not the same IMHO.
This is just my opinion though so if these are not things that would bother you then go for it...
...either way have a great cruise!!!

I wonder how it all works...I am looking at a cruise for June "19" and my TA is offering $125.00 OBC. If I book it on the ship it will go through my TA but I don't know if I would get the $125. It would be silly to lose the $125 to get $50...
Anyone have experience with this?

I have been to Princess Cays several time while sailing on Princess ships. We are sailing to Princess Cays in the end of April on the Carnival Conquest and was wondering about some of the activities and how much it has changed since we have been there.
We have done the banana boat several times in the past but I don't see that you can pre-book this through the online excursions. Do they still have water sports like this? If so, I would assume we would have to book it once there.
I also understand that they have added items such as food trucks. Is this included or do we have to bring additional cash to pay for this?
Any info will be helpful.

Is there still incentives for booking a future cruise while onboard? We have done this in the past but had heard rumors that they were stopping the program. When we booked we got OBC as well as two friends/family vouchers for the same.
Does anyone have recent experience with this?
-
Not sure how this works exactly. I never seem to get a better price in all the bookings I have made. I used to check the Carnival Fare Viewer but it looks like that is offline now. How do you check pricing. I have booked four cabins using the "Early Saver" and see better pricing on OV cabins but not in my category.
Should a good TA track this for you?

Thanks for the photos...looks like we will be heading to the adult only pool at the rear of the ship again. The new area doesn't look as nice as some of the other ships (Pride; Valor...) Hope it heals thin out the crowd at the rear pool.
Thanks again.

We are sailing on theConquest in April 2018. I was wondering if anyone had info or photos of the newly installed Serenity area. Also what did they do in the rear poll which used to be adult only.

Hey Mitsugirly,
Loved the review. Was on the Conquest last year for the 6 night western and booked the Conquest again for the 8 night eastern for this coming April (18) to celebrate my 50th.
I wanted to ask about the underwater camera you used. I am looking at an Olympus Stylus Tough TG-4 refurb. for $299 on Amazon. I snorkel a lot but do not do scuba. After seeing your review it actually has given me the bug to want to try it. One of my friends going on the cruise with us is going for his diving cert. and would like to do a dive on this cruise. Anyway, is there anything that you can tell me about the camera? This is more than what I want to spend but I don't want to get a garbage camera just to get it. Do you have any other less expensive recommendations?
Our trip will include Princess Cays instead of the other island. We have not been there in awhile and are looking forward to it.
I see in another review you did the golf cart rental in Grand Turk. Any recommendations for that as we are a group of 4 couples and planning on renting two golf carts to explore the island and see some of the other beaches that we have never seen in all the times we have been to Grand Turk.
Again, always enjoy reading your reviews and realistic twist you have as well as all of the photos.
Thanks in advance for any info you have to offer.
