Wife and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson. The hotel was great and right next to the underground to take you into central new York if you wish. They don't have a shuttle service to the port but the hotel arranged everything for us and it went like clockwork

Sorry meant to say Navigator but for some unknown reason I typed in VOS :o :o :o

The Boatyard in Barbados definitely gets my vote. Was there last year and it's really close to the ship. There's a bar and the loungers are nicely spaced. The sand is superb and the water, warm and crystal clear. We had lunch and drinks there as well and it was very nice
I'd go back at the drop of a hat as it compares favourably with Grand Cayman

Thanks. I'm clearly cracking up as its Navigator we're on and not Voyager. I'd like to call it an error but its probably a senior moment :o

Hi
I tried to get in touch with the voyager concierge to ask a question and used the email address provided by a previous thread. Unfortunately I've had no answer to two mails and I wondered if anyone had an alternative instead of NV_Concierge@rccl.com please. I'm not totally sure but I've read that Nadja Durdevic is the concierge on Navigator but perhaps somebody could advise
Many thanks

My wife and I were on Splendour the year before last and thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. Ephesus was marvellous but as we don't like the hard sell, we skipped the visit to the carpet shop!!
We had a grand suite but were upgraded to an owners which was great (other than the fact our front door was opposite the staff entrance). The concierge lounge is a bit strange as it's kind of open plan within a show area and you can hear everything going on. They seem to have just put three partitions there to separate it from that area. Have to say I wasn't impressed with that.
The ship is smaller than other we've been on so you don't really have the promenade like the other bigger ships. Food was good, staff polite and ports we visited were fine (Santorini was lovely as well).
Would I sail on Splendour again, probably not but I still enjoyed my cruise. As they say it's up to you to enjoy your holiday and my wife and I always do.

1260 and 1560 are right underneath the whirlpools. I've read that some say it doesn't matter but I think there would be some shading from them. I've stayed in 1252 on Indy and the people in the whirlpool can look into your balcony. It's no big deal I guess. I've just booked 1282 as that's further along from the whirlpools.
