We loved our Excursion with Seavis in August. We did the speedboat on a rainy day. It was bad... but fun. Be prepared for mosquitos. Bring Bug Spray if they tell you too. Also bring cash if they tell you to. My parents left their whole wallet on the ship and we clearly weren't thinking. We had enough cash for our balance of the excursion and spending $$. But we ended up having to use all our cash to pay our parents balance and barely had enough for tips. It was extremely uncomfortable until we got back to port and could use our cards again.

I second a Lilliebaby!

You may also want to get input on the Florida Departures Board.

Dude do you actually read the full post before making the same recommendations? I've seen you make this comment twice (as in on 2 different threads) without actually reading that the OP already posted in the Florida Departure groups.

So this is what we did when we cruise with a 15m old last August. We flew in to FLL via SW. We took a SAS (when we always use them) shuttle to our hotel Holiday Inn Port of Miami. We didn't need a carseat in the shuttle. We spend the day at Bayside which is directly across the street from the Holiday Inn POM. We also took an Uber (but left DD at the hotel with our parents) to Target to pick up diapers etc that evening. The next morning the concierge found us a cab/shuttle to the port (which is pretty much a cross the street as well lol), there are lots of cruiser staying at that hotel too. We loved the hotel due to its location. We really enjoyed spending the day at Bayside. Hope this helps!

Ok I was considering Jacks Shack for our group but I think this place seems much better as hubby loves fried fish and DD is not a huge fan of dogs. We just hung out on the beach close to Margaritaville last time, but I think we'll like this much better!

When we board the ship just switch. The people in each room. It won’t be a problem.

Its very easy to dispute charges with Paypal. However, if you know (up front) the companies rules than you probably won't get very far with any dispute. That being said would the changes be personal or are you thinking like weather or missing the port etc, because most companies will refund you for weather, missing ports etc. You may want to work with a different company if those aren't options.

So in Miami they have 2 lines... 1 for ppl checking in during their time slot and 1 one for ppl who are not. The one for ppl who are not is much longer.

This is not what you asked but if you are flying in will u be renting a car? If so you can just rent a carseat as well. That worked perfectly for us in Miami. We were not interested in storing a carseat in our cabin.

Ugh I wish I had pics for u but Seafood Shack is delish. Well worth the price. Crab legs were great so were the steamed shrimp. We ate there twice. I'd also recommend Jiji's. Food is amazing. I never saw anyone working out on those machine, just kids playing on it. Its really a waste of space imo. Maybe ppl used it early mornings???

Until I sailed with Matt it was Wee Jimmy bc he was so laid back. But Matt is the opposite and is def the best I've sailed with!

Great review I’m glad u enjoyed your first cruise! Sounds like it won’t be ur last. I thought ur excursion comment was funny. I’ve been on close to 10 cruise and have only booked cruise line excursions on the first one lol. It’s a huge waste of money. Excursions with private companies are very safe. We always find tour companies on TripAdvisor and CC. I’ve never heard of anyone actually missing the ship as these companies livelihood depends on tourism, positive reviews etc. Also private company excursions are generally less crowded and more adventurous.
Happy Cruising and I’m sure ur kids will love it too!

Neither those places are too busy. I would go to Jiji's or Cucina!

This is awesome news!!!

We took the jitney to a resort once for a beach day. Can't remember the name but hated the resort but felt very safe. I don't feel that Nassau is unsafe at all. But I'm from Baltimore (county lol) so I see things differently maybe.

Please note that there is some censorship on TA as will although they won't flat out deny your post. They often have me make silly changes to my reviews.

I've read that the bathrooms don't have changing tables so I plan to get a nice umbrella stroller that recline so I can change my daughter in the stroller.

Have you looked at excursions? There are so many options. Idk y everyone complains about Jamaica. I have no safety concerns there and we actually vacay there not just cruises. They go above and beyond for tourist. Tourism is their livelihood. I'm sure you'll live. There are lots of fun things to do there bobsled beaches waterfalls. It's just based on ur budget. At 6 hanging out on the beach will probably be extremely exciting no matter which port! Have fun no matter what u choose. Don't overthink it either!!! [emoji3]

When entering the airport at BWI (at least) ur informed that it's not allowed. They search ur bags (well with the dogs) looking for Mamajuana and confiscate it if found. This occurs on flights back from DR. Not sure how that works with a cruise!
