  1. I'm a TA and as soon as I make payments for my clients I send an email directly from the GoCCL website. I'm not sure why your TA doesn't do that. It's crazy easy as it's on the same page where we make the payment. All you do is type in an email addy (which will actually populate after your first payment) and click send. Much easier than drafting a receipt. I'm all about quick and simple lol.

  2. May I suggest to those wishing to purchase a spa pass in advance for their cruises on the Vista, to either do a thorough search of Vista spa reviews and gallery photos or wait until you are on board and take a tour of the spa.

Unlike the larger spa on the Dream, Magic, and Breeze, Vista's spa is very small. No Thallasso pool, only 6 or 7 heated loungers in the same space as a small hot tub and 3 not so steamy steam rooms. Locker facilities are also smaller and are shared with those using the gym. You can get all the standard spa treatments offered, but unless there's a special offering for a treatment included in your spa pass, all spa treatments are extra.

Thanks for this info. We had a spa cabin on the Breeze and I was considering maybe a day pass on the Vista bc I was in the thesso pool everyday on the Breeze. This time we have a kid so a spa cabin wouldn't make sense. Thank goodness I saw this post! I wouldn't even have checked and would have assumed that the spa would be the same. Guess I'll settle for a nice massage instead!

  3. I loved cruising out of San Juan especially because of the great itineraries available. We stayed in Old San Juan at a small boutique type of place in the heart of Old San Juan. Not our cup of tea but it was different. We never felt unsafe or anything (very touristy) but to oldish, non modern for us. Great experience though. The worst part for us was the expensive flight. We would cruise out of there again in a heartbeat if the cost of flights were better. If you stay at one of the name brand hotels they will offer transport and you can walk right to the port.

  4. So I mainly cruise Carnival and I don't do the pools, way too many ppl just the hot tubs. If hubby isn't sitting in a lounger I just take my keycard which is on a lanyard around my neck and my towel. Sometimes I take my tablet but I put it under the towel so it's not visible.

  5. Love your rambling. I ramble too. We used to cruise almost annually but we spent the last two years trying to have a baby so we skipped alotta vacays. Now that we have her we are starting to plan again. Booked a cruise on the Vista for next summer. Hopefully we can get another vacay in before that. She's four months and has only vacay'd in VA thus far...Hoping to get a couple weekend trips in before the cruise.

  6. Thanks for this review. We are avid CCL cruisers and have done 2 NCL cruises. I'm pregnant with our first child so we wanted to try a line with more options for babies. We live in MD and don't want to fly with a baby either so thanks as we were looking at driving to NJ for the Anthem. Do you know if the Embassy Suites has parking for our truck during the cruise? Also we heard that RCCL is boring and everything shuts down at 10pm, but that didn't seem to be the case per your scooper. What do you think? As compared to CCL?

  7. Whats the big deal. They are still having activities etc just in a different location. I guess the make over had to occur during someone's cruise, unfortunately it happened to be urs. I'm sure ur child will live and there's no need to leave carnival over them making upgrades to your ship.
