The French restaurant, Jacques, has been replaced by French balconies.
I wish it wasn’t so.

Lyn,
Not sure how you did it, but thanks for posting this link.
It's very simple. All you need is using the right TA 😀

I like the one on Riviera that visits Jeddah - it would be a new port for us.

But again it’s not my loss, it’s “O”s because they won’t be full all time down the road.
Sorry to inform you that O won't miss you any more than they miss any one of us - it's a business, not a personal vendetta.
I believe you always book upper suites which are ALWAYS full - often before any other category.

But the OS ones you still have to pay for (the helicopter to the pyramids, etc.).
Beats the camel ride to the pyramids that costs $1 to get unto the camel and $100 to get off 😀

In my opinion the cuisine on Oceania is better than on Regent. Last cruise we were on (Regent) met the food manager who said she worked on both ships and she agreed that Oceania was better.
Agree completely. This is not to say that food on Regent is bad - I just prefer O's cuisine.
I will miss Jacques really badly.

Lyn & FF - thank you for refreshing my memory. Maybe I need a new brain chip (along with all other vital body parts replaced )😀
Is the TA given OBC refundable vs status OBC which is not?

Yes on the Gratuities OBC is per cabin I believe
The benefits have been changing over the years.
On their website under Plat benefits currently they list $500 w/o stating that it is per cabin and not per person while obviously other perks are per person (free cruise, no deviation fees, PPG, etc)
Also I see no spa credit listed. I know the amount has changed but is it gone altogether?

Regent is still about 40% more expensive. And I don't even mention the fact that not everyone takes a full beverage package, many people drink only couple drinks per day, the business flight can be booked with points, and many people organize private tours which are much cheaper.
What am I missing?
Nothing 😀 Your math is close in most cases to your example.
Of course, there will be exceptions where prices are closer but there is no "free lunch" 😀

Good luck, I am sure you will get through and the Sales Specialist will get your desired itinerary.
it will be interesting on Thursday to share our stories of Vista booking successes or Waitlists.

Convince me why we should jump to Oceania, assuming we’re able to get a penthouse.
any takers? 😃
You are asking for the impossible - only you can decide which you like better after trying them both. Whom are you going to blame when you choose the "wrong" line?
We don't know anything about you - how can we convince you of anything.
I hate tomatoes (and you don't know that) - convince me that I will love that tomato dish that is your all time favorite.
Not going to happen.

That said: Over the years, I’ve done at least a dozen O vs Regent “apples to apples” comps and not once did Regent come close to O’s value. But, it doesn’t stop me from continuing my comparisons on cruises I am considering.
IMO there is no "apples to apples" comparison between these 2 lines - they are too different for that type of comparison. We've cruised on both and have our preferences but they are not as simple as price. We have enjoyed Regent but prefer O for a number of personal reasons. This may not be the case for OP as we are not CC of each other. 😀
IMO, OP should try both at some point and decide which, if any, suits them better and then all of our own preferences will become irrelevant for them (preferring one over the other or consider them equally desirable)..

it seems to me that they are at least strongly suggesting that you shouldn't leave the airport (see post #11)
I would agree.
I can see all the obstacles you might encounter when re-entering the airport.

We have been researching Meteora for about a year. It is absolutely fascinating and is currently on our top 3 of future destinations.
Katie
You can get an idea of the place in a day but you really need an overnight there to fully appreciate the place. Most pictures show the mountaintop monasteries and as impressive as they are, the treasures are inside.
Good luck.

My problem is I've been to most of the places that are on the itineraries. I do like a couple though.
Have you thought about visiting new places?
For example, should we visit Rome again I was planning to go to Civita.
No, not the one you're thinking of but this one:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civita_di_Bagnoregio
When you embark or disembark from Athens (or visit some Greek port nearby) consider going to Meteora (unless you've been there already). It is one of the most awe inspiring places you'll see

If so - you may be alone 😀
Thanks. Nice to be missed instead of being censored for no good reason (IMO)
So I am just watching the action for most of the time. 😀

Seriously
Do you think only 1 person can get the reservation while the other person has to dine elsewhere?? 🙄
Or perhaps they are thinking that each person in their cabin gets 4 reservation - thus getting 8/ cabin instead of just 4?

This hasn’t been touched on yet, but tNew Zealand has shut down the nation because of one (1) confirmed Covid case. Schools closed, businesses shuttered, airline flights cancelled because of a whopping ONE case. Who here is stupid enough to book a cruise on Oceania, or any line, to NZ when the entire itinerary can be shut down over a single case? Experts are telling us we will have to live with Covid for years to come. NZ says “ One case in the homeland and your cruise here is cancelled. Period! “
I can only hope that Oceania isn’t planning Vista cruises to New Zealand, or any other ships as far as that goes. With all that said I would gladly change places with NZ.
Speaking for myself, I would MUCH rather live in an essentially pre-COVID world in my country (with a single case) than what we have here or being able to cruise freely.
But that's just me.
