  1. Thank you, that is what I was hoping to hear!
  2. Thank you! Did you by chance use it as a hotspot for an iPad or other phones?
  3. Thank you so much! 🤞🏻your son has a wonderful cruise!
  4. Thank you, I’ll be looking forward to your posts! We sail on the June 20th. I loved Rhapsody when we have been on her previously! 🤞🏻She’s still a “grand old girl” 😅
  5. I know, that’s why I’m anxiously awaiting any reports 😅. I had been following while she was in her short dry dock. Thanks Merion_Mom!
  6. Wondering if someone currently on the Rhapsody will share their experience? We sail in June and I have been reading about the staffing shortages and food situations (quality of meals, food prep, etc) on other ships and in different areas. I am hoping that those onboard are enjoying their cruise and finding the usual, top quality experience we love and are accustomed to from RCCL. Thanks and cheers!
  7. If you are staying pre-cruise, others from the UK have used their hotel address for the tests. Just check with your hotel and let them know in advance. Good luck!
  8. Wow! I just won the RoyalUp for our 2nd cabin! Elated!!! This was from an OV to a Jr Suite! Rhapsody, June 20th from Rome. It’s a surprise for my DIL! Good luck everyone!
  9. Great News! I woke up to find a text and email confirming my RoyalUp to a 1 bedroom Grand Suite! 🤞🏻for my remaining cabin bid. This is for the June 20th, Rhapsody sailing. Good luck everyone!
  10. Hi everyone! Just checked my bids for my June 20th sailing. All expired EXCEPT one and it is pending and I can’t adjust the bid. For those of you who successfully had a pending you couldn’t adjust, how long was it before your CC was charged or you received the confirmation email? I KNOW this does not always mean success…just wondering the time line for this scenario. Others on the same cruise can adjust theirs and their has not expired. My current cabin category is sold out. Since I have never won a bid, I’m confused….😅 Thanks!
  11. Spending extra days in Rome pre cruise and am hoping to hear from others who have purchased a sim card for their phone. I will be using an iPhone. My questions are… Where did you purchase it? Online before your trip or when in Rome? I have Orange in my cart on Amazon, but hope to hear if there are better options (from experience). Are there better ones, etc? I do know I can use my Verizon Travel Pass also. For those who have used a SIM card for traveling …I have a spare phone I plan to use. If my phone is turned OFF, can I install the SIM card at home (US) if I do not turn on my phone until I land in Italy (without accidentally activating it in the US?) Reason is the one I am thinking of purchasing is only a 14 day use. We will also be spending a few days post cruise in Athens so I plan to use it there also. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks so much!!
  12. While Canada does not require a negative test to enter, I am assuming the airline will ask for the test in ( Athens for us) because my final destination is in the United States? Or will they ask for it in Toronto when we board for US?
  13. Each test (Abbott IDNow AG) is to be proctored…very easy to use . There is one test in each box. I stressed so much over it, and once we actually used it for our Nov cruise, it was so EASY! No appointment necessary, available 24/7 to proctor your test from anywhere I the world! Just need dependent wifi and computer, iPad, or smart phone. I just received today 6 more to take to Rome to use to board our ship and to fly back home to the US. You will need to create an account at Navica.com for EACH one of you to do your test. No worries, it’s all very easy and there are videos on YouTube showing ppl taking the test from start to finish. I watched a couple and it gave me confidence 😊. Good luck!
  14. Thanks slidergirl…hubby is a retired commercial pilot so we know to always avoid those machines/kiosks. 😅
  15. Thanks…we usually buy from our bank, but our local branch closed so we changed to the credit union which doesn’t offer the service. We use a Capital One debit card to get cash for travel only when out of the US as there are no bank or foreign transaction fees. And if it should get stolen/hacked, the thief does not have access to our everyday bank account (we just replenish this account with cash via online transfer as needed during our trip). We use CC for purchases, etc.
  16. We usually have euros in hand when we get to Europe but not enough this time. Is the airport ATM safe to use to get my needed euros? I am assuming it would be at the present exchange rate? Which by the way is awesome today! Also, if I find myself in need of more euros while there, are bank ATM’s the only safe ones to use while in Rome? How are their exchange rates? I have a Capital One bank card that doesn’t charge fees for foreign transactions. Help is always appreciated! Thanks CC buddies!
  17. That is awesome! Congratulations! Keeping my fingers crossed for our June Rhapsody sailing!
