  1. Although I have been sailing with Crystal for years, I haven’t received an email in many years. So, I have subscribed again on the webpage, and I’m waiting for my first email. So far, nothing
  2. Do the back to back. The veranda room is fine, and you’ll want to stay on the ship as long as possible!
  3. Although I am still sailing, I have decided to offer my thoughts on my cruise so far. In a word -perfection! Although I am in a single room, with the dreaded closet, I find everything in the line of a fine hotel. The new decor is beautiful. Everything has been lightened-wood, rug, lighting. The bathroom is great! So much light! The shower is wonderful. I could go on and on. The crew is as wonderful as ever, perhaps even more so. They seem to anticipate whatever I may want. The food is just amazing. Choices in Marketplace are overwhelming. Everything always looks fresh and tempting. Waterside is as sensational as it ever was. Umi Uma-what can I say? Fabulous! I cannot comment on Osteria as yet, since we have yet to try it. And the entertainment is fantastic! Every night there is a show that I would like to see over and over. The Crystal entertainers are as talented as ever, and the headline entertainers have been terrific. All in all, a fabulous experience, and I still have another week!
  4. I’m on the October 21st cruise, Quebec to Miami. Does anyone know the number of guests expected on that cruise? So excited!
  5. Amex told me that in order to get OBC, you must use American Express Travel to book. That was never the case before, but she said it’s the new policy.
  6. Thank you for that information.
  7. Is it possible that the Serenity will be docking in Bayonne on October 29th also, on its way down to Miami from Quebec?
  8. All pictures that I’ve seen show the closet on an angle, from the side. I’m hoping to see one straight on, into the closet.
  9. I would appreciate a picture of the closet in the double room. Trying to get a sense of the amount of hanging space.
  10. Is there a deadline to getting the 5% past cruiser discount? We’re considering a 2024 Alaska cruise. I would enjoy getting the additional 2.5%, but I’m concerned that our cabin category could be waitlisted by the time of my October cruise.
  11. Thank you for the clarification. With OC, I was able to book cruises, and when I went onboard, I was given the discount to the bookings I made before. So, it seems that although I would like to book a cruise for next summer, I would lose the 2.5% discount if I don’t wait until my cruise in October to book it. A quandary!
  12. We have already booked 3 cruises beyond our first one in October. What is the benefit of booking onboard? Also, What is the benefit of doing an open booking?
  13. I’m sorry for the confusion, but, yes, I did mean the Grand Gala buffet.
  14. I have not heard any mention of the Lunch Buffet that was so spectacular on OC. Are any planned, or has that been discontinued ?
  15. For those onboard- does Crystal still supply a bag? It used to be white with the Crystal logo imprinted on it. I found it to be so useful. It was great to use when going to the laundry!

  17. As usual, Keith, you are the man with the answers. I certainly appreciate all the information you have been able to impart since you boarded the ship. I read cruise critic, and your blog, every day, and enjoy all the photos and information. Thanks so much for your patience. sheila
  18. I’m part of a group of 8 sailing in October from Quebec. We are in 5 cabins. I know that on OC I was able to make the reservation and then add everyone with their names and Booking numbers. How can I do that with NC? Our window opens in 17 days.
  19. I’m boarding on the 15th. Does anyone have some menus from Atlantide? I would love to see a few
  20. Keith, please try to show any of the solo cabins, if you’re able to. As stated before, there are many pictures of the new suites, but none of the non balcony cabins have been shown. So, pictures of those cabins would be much appreciated.
  21. Keith I am looking forward to following you. I have been reading your blogs for many years, and enjoy hearing your perspective on everything. I, too, love the Crystal product(27 cruises) of the past and know I will love NC. All the puzzle pieces are there for the success of this rebirth. I will not be onboard until October, from Quebec, but feel like I am sailing next week. I have read every post, and view the website often for new information. But, hearing from those onboard will be so exciting. So, have a safe, fabulous cruise!! Sheila
  22. With 27 prior cruises, we have booked 3 cruises, beginning in October with the Quebec to Miami cruise. We are excitedly awaiting the 2025 schedule announcement. I had thought it would be out by July 1st. Doesn’t look like that now. Any idea when it will happen? Taken from the famous Keith: Bags packed. Can’t wait.
  23. I traveled in the cabins they now describe as single. They are identical to the double guest rooms. The price stated is the total cost. No additional amount! The only negative is that they’re the cabins closest to the front of the ship. I, for one, have booked three cruises in the single cabin. Can’t wait!
  24. I have stayed in that room and ones similar to it. I love those rooms because of their proximity to the deck. I never heard anything or was disturbed by any noise.
  25. I appreciate the information you were kind enough to share. It has made me even more excited for my cruise on NC. Seeing familiar names gives me the confidence that NC will have the elements of OC that I truly loved. please don’t stop!!!
