Did you see whales? What time of the year did you go?

My cruise ship visits Cabo on Jan 23, 2023. Will I be able to see whales from the cruise ship or should I book an excursion? Also what kind of whale watching excursion would be good? small ship that fits max 18ppl vs. 2 decker catamaran vs. tall ship pirate adventure?

Can you use non refundable OBC for the casino then?

So if it is non refundable OBC, is there truly no way to get the value back in cash especially if you cannot use it in the casino?

I am looking at a sailing that has a Princess Plus offer which includes "shore excursion credit" for $100 per person. Can this credit be used for anything or does it have to be for shore excursions? And if I do not use it, will it be credited to my credit card at the end of the cruise if I have a negative balance? (I've done this on other cruise lines before but I have never been on Princess). Hi, I booked a cabin on deck 15 of Discovery Princess. It is under the Wakeview pool and bar area. Will it be loud at night or will that public area be closed anyway? Thanks

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I am going to go with Discovery. I like new ships and I have never done either itinerary so I guess the ship was the deciding factor in this case.

Thank you for the photos! Is there a pizzeria that is free on the Diamond? What is in place of the International Cafe on Diamond? Is the Izumi Japanese bath free?

Thanks everyone. I am leaning towards the Diamond because the port San Diego is probably easier to get to than LA and the itinerary does have unique ports. Would I expect the same quality of food on both diamond and discovery? While I love new and shiny ships, if Diamond has Medallion class then I would have the same type of "new technology" experience right?

Hi, I am new to Princess and debating these 2 ships with the following itineraries: Diamond - San Diego, La Paz, Loreto and Cabo Discovery - LA, Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta From my research so far the Diamond is old but is supposed to be medallion class...not sure if that means it will have all the cool technology that Discovery has. The ports on the Diamond seem more unique but one is a tender port. Discovery - well it's brand new! Not sure how great the port are though I will be traveling with my parents (60+) and 2 kids (<10yo) What would be your choice and why? Thanks
