Thanks. We have connecting cabins and would use it only in the other cabin when the kid was napping.

Several years ago we had 2 connecting cabins. Our niece with her 2 year old daughter were next door to ours and when we were out of the one cabin and/or on the balcony they worked very well.

So much for the LA telling me they would be running out of totes! It appears they might have gotten a new shipment. 🤣

We ended up with more being dropped off today.  I think the total count is 17 - we brought two of them home on the first cruise filled with dirty laundry and left them at the house.

Remind me to call C&A when I get home to change our amentity selection to something else.  😂😂🤪

WOW, That's both awesome and crazy. If they weren't running out of "TOTES" before,

    they are now. 🤪

  3. Most RCCL ships have a "CAFE PROMENADE". It is their coffee/snack bar version of a "STARBUCKS".

It is true that you cannot use the RCCL coffee card at the onboard "STARBUCKS".

Also, please be aware that even though you purchase a card that offer 15 "PUNCHES" these are usually only good for a "small" drink. If you order a "LARGE" drink they will most likely punch your card twice.

This would make your card almost worth 1/2 its value.  I suggest waiting until you get on board as the price is the exact same whether you purchase it ahead or not.

Check with "CAFE PROMENADE" attendant and see what their "interpretation" of the coffee punches are.

Then you can make the choice as to whether it is good deal for you or not.

When we were in Stockholm we docked at the ferry port across the harbor.  Water taxi across the harbor, entry to Vasa and amusement park and museums included with Stockholm Card.  Well worth it and worst case we could walk back to ship.  If you are docking outside of town maybe want to take ship excursion.

We did the exact same thing. Easy Peezy. The only warning about walking around is watch out for the "Bicycles" they are literally everywhere and have the right of way...

We have the Beach Club booked, but how (and when) can we actually book the lunch?

We were on the "Mariner" last month and stopped at "CoCoCay". We had the "Beach Club" and about 2-3 days before we were scheduled to dock there we got a phone call from the ship (I assume it was the food dept.) and they were asking us what time we wanted to have our lunch scheduled for. Once we got seated they brought the above posted menus and then they brought the food that we ordered.

  6. Not sure how it is dealt with when it comes to "Cruising". However, I can tell you that my "Boss" and his family went to "Rome" for a vacation about 1 month ago and the day before they were scheduled to fly back to the US they took there "Covid" tests and tested positive. They had to quarantine for a minimum of 5 days and at least until they all tested negative (that took almost 10 days).

I can tell you that they had to pay for their own stay and all expenses while in quarantine.

I see to recall that while I was walking through Playmakers, there was smoking allowed.  Was I correct????? 😬🤔

Not on the "Mariner". I think RRCL only allows smoking indoors in the Casinos, no where else inside.

  8. Speaking of the "Campfire Cookie". On our recent "Mariner" cruise they didn't have any "MARSHMALLOWS". Oh the tragedy!!! One person got smart and when the got off the ship they bought some in port and had them make it using there own.

I’ve ordered two of the G&T packages for hubby on our next cruise, which equals a full bottle of Bombay Sapphire. Twice the cost of a liquor store but a lot less than the per drink price onboard.

I hope it works out well for you. See my past experience (post #8) and be prepared to go to GS to see what happens if it's not delivered to your room.

Hello all, I sailed Harmony back in Dec 2021. Had a great time and enjoyed some of the unique aspects due to covid but since things are getting back to pre-covid I did have some questions..

I plan to sail on Oasis this December

    1) Are buffets still served by staff? I loved this part the most that I did not have to use the same serving utensils as everyone else?

    2) Are ships understaffed?

    3) Are there long waits to the MDR or Windjammer?

    4) I know masks are optional now, but is anyone wearing them at all indoors?

    Thanks!

    01) NO

    02) BIG YES

    03) Not Really

    04) Not Many

We just came off the "Mariner" 3 weeks ago and I would say very few passengers were wearing masks. In fact several people reported having caught "covid" after the cruise ended. (we actually had 5 out of our group of 8 catch it). All better now.

Personally, I think paying up front is better. That when when you get off the ship, you just go. No potential long lines to pay.  We always  have a long day of driving and like to hit the road.

    Thanx

    Erika

We just got off the "Mariner" last Monday and it was a NIGHTMARE getting out of the parking garage. As other posters have mentioned you pay when you leave,. not when you check-in to park. The traffic jam was awful. It took us at least an hour to get out of the parking garage. I hope we never have to do that again....

  12. For our PAST "MARINER" cruise (just last week) my wife had gone and surprised me with the "GIN" alcohol package (with 6 cans of mixer). When we got into the room I saw 6 cans of soda and thought, oh how nice my D+ rewards are here. I never thought anything more about it. Until about 4 days into the cruise my wife says "how are you enjoying your Gin?". I told her I didn't know what she was referring to and that is when she made reference to the sodas on the desk. She told me about the pre-purchased "alcohol" package (for the room) and I told her I hadn't seen anything like that. She gave me a copy of the confirmation of her on-line purchase and sent me down to Guest Services to inquire about it. They did some research and finally an assistant Bar Manager (Mike, very nice guy) came and explained that they were having supply challenges getting the "smaller" sized bottles (350 ml., I think) from there suppliers  I was offered a refund and he was very apologetic about the whole thing.
