I m currently at 20 days and have a 5 day scheduled, which makes me gold after the last night of the cruise. Will I be gold for this cruise or will it show up on the next one? (I have read that if you are moving up a level in the middle of the cruise you would be at the higher level the entire time, but never seen any comments about reaching higher levels after the last night.)
From what I'm reading if you are going to reach the next level during your cruise you will receive your new status benefits on the first day of that cruise.

I'm currently at 21 days sailed and have an upcoming 7 day cruise in August. I checked my documents but it is still showing Red. Should I call to see if they will change it or will they do that at embarkation?
I don't think it would hurt to call and check just to be sure.

This all makes me laugh. I am a third grade teacher and I have taught first grade and Special Education for years.
I have spent many hours trying to teach children that polite society doesn't want to see anything come out of their mouth or nose, if at all possible. To me that includes mucus, spit, smoke, or visible vapor. :eek:
Occasionally one has an emergency and something comes out....but then that individual sincerely apologizes and removes him/herself to correct the situation.
Yes, we all breath and exhale, but if it can be seen......it should only be because the temperature outside is below freezing!!:)
I find your statement kind of interesting. Back when I was in school my PARENTS were responsible for teaching me manners, not teachers at school. Teachers were there to teach reading, writing, math, science and other subjects. Maybe that's the problem nowadays? Too many people in the educational system teaching what they feel is socially acceptable rather than sticking to what they're supposed to teach.

My wife vapes now instead of smokes and 99% of the time I can't smell a thing. The rest of the time it smells like punch or grape juice for about 2 seconds and then it's gone.

Kinda did this on the last one which was a 4 day to catalina and Ensenada. We did however decide in Ensenada to do a wine tour which was fabulous. But the rest of the time just played it by ear

I just don't eat in the MDR on formal nights. It's vacation and I don't want to dress up, either does the wife. On non formal nights if we eat in the MDR it's a polo shirt and a nice pair of cargo style shorts and nice sneakers.

We booked two weeks ago for October of 2015. 20 minutes or so after booking the wife looked it up and FTTF was available. We bought it. I wouldn't wait to check every couple weeks or so. If you're able to log in every day to check I would recommend doing so.

We did an all inclusive in Mexico. It was $900 per person for 7 days, INCLUDING FLIGHTS, which is $128 each. That included alcoholic beverages, which Carnival does not. The food was very good, there were shows, and all kinds of stuff to do during the day.

Probably mostly the airlines. One time when I flew into Phoenix I literally watched the guys unloading the luggage throw it like a sack of potatoes about 15 feet into the cart. (Was a small plane so they could only get so close) saw several pieces of luggage not make the cart and fall and hit the Tarmac. A couple of them busted open with clothes everywhere. They just scooped the clothes up, shoved them back in the suitcase and set the piece on the cart. The luggage was apparently damaged so badly they couldn't close it or just didn't care.

I'm just wondering where some of you would go vacation other than cruising where you're going to pay for a hotel, food and drinks (drinks that carnival includes) for less than $150.00 a day and provides all the activities that they also offer?

I much prefer it the caste system that Royal and others use. There are enough things in this world that smell of the "I am better than you" syndrome. Roping off reserved areas and guaranteed this and that don't make for a better cruise IMHO.

Where are you booking these 50-70$ pppd cruises? I have never seen a cruise that cheap unless your jamming 5 ppl into a bottom floor interior and not paying gratuity during the middle of hurricane season. LOL

On Carnival? $150pdpp is a ripoff IMHO. When I sail on Carnival, I consider $50-70pppd a justifiable amount. If it's more than that, I'm cruising on another cruise line.
