  1. we are doing holiday 9 florida bahama trip and not sure of what to do in miami for 7 hours, any suggestions? no excursions posted on web site for me to even start looking. I looked through threads and didn't see anything, would appreciate idea's, thanks in advance

  2. thank goodness for the concerige to help with the bookings, i didn't even realize there was an escape room on the escape, lol.

The escape room takes about an hour, and the comedy sets are about 45 min. You need to make reservations when you board.

Howl at the Moon usually runs from 9 pm - 1am, and is come, and go as you please.

I saw he posted a fabulous Christmas song video online from his home last week, so he's been on vacation. Don't think I can link it because it's on FB - just search there for Leonardo Jostol. Not sure when he'll be back on the ships, though! Just love Leo! :)

  5. I always have my printed copy, it has our reservation number on it and they have always asked us to see it at security. I think having the printed copy also speeds up the check in process, but I never have not taken one and don't think I'm going to start now.

  6. on ncl site all itiniarys until november are switched to western, so i'm sure they are doing what they can

Well I DO care as we are booked on the Western on 100/14 and the Eastern on 10/21....and not sure at all if we want to do the SAME itinerary two weeks in a row....as it is an itinerary that we have done many times.

I wonder if they made the decision to switch all Eastern Caribbean cruises too soon? As there do seem to be more islands that were NOT affected.....st. Kitts, etc.....

Just thinking out loud as I really only booked the Western portion to more or less stay on the ship a lot....and was really looking forward to the Eastern one....

  7. leo is an awesome guy and we enjoy him and his music. he is a perk to ncl and to us

We loved Leo on the Gem on our 12/4/2016 cruise. We stalked him and went to see him every time we could. We would go back on the Gem just for him.

Here we are with him on the last night of the cruise:

  8. thats the open jam session, so much fun. its not advertised in the daily. we love the energy they both have. This is the first cruise in a long time we are going without friends, and my dh just loves Leo, so he will be super pumped to see him. Leo makes it personal in his performances.

quote=Paul from Maryland;51873957]Saw Leo and Kenosis about 18 months ago on the Gem. Great show!

We caught each of their shows in the lounge. On the last night of the cruise, about midnight or so, they played up on the pool deck. They played for about 75 minutes. A lot of letting different folks play and/or sing. About a half dozen of the show cast were there too...singing and dancing. Probably the best show I've seen on a cruise ship!

  9. Vestal is about 3 hours +/1 down I-81 into PA, I-380 into Delaware Water Gap into NY on I-80 for NYC, the "worst part" would be crossing the GW Bridge & taking the first exit to go downtown for the MCT (Manhattan Cruise Terminal) and 2 one-way tolls. The discounted, secured pier roof-top parking is still valid as of this date, unless reported otherwise @ $30/24 hours including taxes - DH would be avoiding most of NYC's urban traffic ... just slightly worst than Triple Cities' weekday rush hours, not too bad compared to Rt. 434 in your area.

Park Right is a little less, nearby but not as convenient as is using the NY Waterway's ferry parking across the Hudson, frugal but will need to manage luggage & with January's weather, doesn't look to be brutal cold for the near term (yet).

If OP is doing a 10 days+ sailing to the Caribbean, driving downstate on the early morning of embarkation is probably "acceptable" risk-wise, weather & road conditions being routien and vehicle winterized & in excellent condition (used to switch to all 4 winter tires to get around in Broome County) ... that would save you the expense of an overnight hotel stay, unless the other poster coming from Erie County with more than doubled the distance & time.

you know the area well, i live off the vestal parkway (434) i think he just doesn't want to drive, so i better get cracking and figure this out thanks your all your useful input, much appreciated
