my dh states he had the best steak of his life at ocean blue, food was great, stop thinking about and just do it lol

thank goodness for the concerige to help with the bookings, i didn't even realize there was an escape room on the escape, lol.
The escape room takes about an hour, and the comedy sets are about 45 min. You need to make reservations when you board.Howl at the Moon usually runs from 9 pm - 1am, and is come, and go as you please.

i have priority and we had a special check in and porter took our bags and escorted us on the ship and right to cagneys.

cosol tours for sure, we did the tour is was all day it took us to plantation, a traditional caribbean breakfast, we went to the pitons, did the mud bath, rinsed under a waterfall, and had beach time, and stopped for warm bread and cheese, all food and all day drinks only &75 best excursion we did
-
it wasn't the same, the pianist and guitar player did nothing for us, we liked sonata and the show band but leo is the best
So bummed he's not on Gem anymore. I sail in 18 days and was hoping to see him again! -
thank you but i couln't find him on fb, I would of loved to hear his song. he's a great entertainer and also a kind nice man
I saw he posted a fabulous Christmas song video online from his home last week, so he's been on vacation. Don't think I can link it because it's on FB - just search there for Leonardo Jostol. Not sure when he'll be back on the ships, though! Just love Leo! :) -
Thank you I am going to miss him but so glad he has time with his family

I am sailing gem in a few days and was saddened to here Leo is not on board. He is fabulous just wondering what ship he’s on right now
-
if you find out can you post on our roll call page, also does anyone know if Leo is still on the Gem
Does anyone know who the current Hotel Director is on the Gem? If so, do you also know how long they'll be onboard? Thanks! -
If your itiniary was just changed the email stated it should take a week for the changes to show on the website with the excursions. with them making all the changes it may take longer, i know i'm inpatient to find out about the excursions myself
-
I always have my printed copy, it has our reservation number on it and they have always asked us to see it at security. I think having the printed copy also speeds up the check in process, but I never have not taken one and don't think I'm going to start now.

Thanks everyone

I am on the roll call board, but was hoping someone else got notice of the itiniary, thanks though
I highly suggest checking with those on the roll call board for this cruise. -
We are sailing Jan 3 out of nyc 10 days on gem, got email over 3 weeks ago that we are changing and thats fine with me, I just want to know where to. Anyone here anything??? The planner in me needs to know
-
I'm the jan 3 sailing on gem 10day and we still don't have new itinerary, i'm excited to find out where we are going. granted i will less than happy if they send us to florida and stirrup cay but they shouldnt' with a 10 day sailing. I am waiting so impatiently to find out where we are going so i can start planning. have fun on your sailing
-
you can renew and apply for passport card, its $30 and takes about 3 weeks to come in only glitch you have to mail your passport with application, and the cards are only good for land and sea, but you have birth certificate and photo id you should be fine

on ncl site all itiniarys until november are switched to western, so i'm sure they are doing what they can
Well I DO care as we are booked on the Western on 100/14 and the Eastern on 10/21....and not sure at all if we want to do the SAME itinerary two weeks in a row....as it is an itinerary that we have done many times.I wonder if they made the decision to switch all Eastern Caribbean cruises too soon? As there do seem to be more islands that were NOT affected.....st. Kitts, etc.....
Just thinking out loud as I really only booked the Western portion to more or less stay on the ship a lot....and was really looking forward to the Eastern one....

i fell in love with the raspberry guava mojoto on escape and was wondering if the gem makes the variety of mojitos so i can really enjoy my booze package
-
leo is an awesome guy and we enjoy him and his music. he is a perk to ncl and to us
We loved Leo on the Gem on our 12/4/2016 cruise. We stalked him and went to see him every time we could. We would go back on the Gem just for him. Here we are with him on the last night of the cruise:
-
thats the open jam session, so much fun. its not advertised in the daily. we love the energy they both have. This is the first cruise in a long time we are going without friends, and my dh just loves Leo, so he will be super pumped to see him. Leo makes it personal in his performances.
quote=Paul from Maryland;51873957]Saw Leo and Kenosis about 18 months ago on the Gem. Great show!
We caught each of their shows in the lounge. On the last night of the cruise, about midnight or so, they played up on the pool deck. They played for about 75 minutes. A lot of letting different folks play and/or sing. About a half dozen of the show cast were there too...singing and dancing. Probably the best show I've seen on a cruise ship!
-
i sure hope he's there next week, we just love him
-
We are leaving next week on the gem and wondering if leo or kenosis is on board, the musical talents from them are the best, thanks in advance

Vestal is about 3 hours +/1 down I-81 into PA, I-380 into Delaware Water Gap into NY on I-80 for NYC, the "worst part" would be crossing the GW Bridge & taking the first exit to go downtown for the MCT (Manhattan Cruise Terminal) and 2 one-way tolls. The discounted, secured pier roof-top parking is still valid as of this date, unless reported otherwise @ $30/24 hours including taxes - DH would be avoiding most of NYC's urban traffic ... just slightly worst than Triple Cities' weekday rush hours, not too bad compared to Rt. 434 in your area.
Park Right is a little less, nearby but not as convenient as is using the NY Waterway's ferry parking across the Hudson, frugal but will need to manage luggage & with January's weather, doesn't look to be brutal cold for the near term (yet).
If OP is doing a 10 days+ sailing to the Caribbean, driving downstate on the early morning of embarkation is probably "acceptable" risk-wise, weather & road conditions being routien and vehicle winterized & in excellent condition (used to switch to all 4 winter tires to get around in Broome County) ... that would save you the expense of an overnight hotel stay, unless the other poster coming from Erie County with more than doubled the distance & time.
you know the area well, i live off the vestal parkway (434) i think he just doesn't want to drive, so i better get cracking and figure this out thanks your all your useful input, much appreciated
