  1. can you pre purchase vibe passes online? I couldn't seem to find link to do it. If not where do I purchase them and if you know $$ also that would be great. I noticed only number of seats are sold and I want this, any help is appreciated. TIA:)

  2. We are cruising on the Getaway in the spring. Soon we can make reservations for dining and entertainment. I want to make some dining reservations and entertainment reservations on the same evening but I don't know the entertainment show times. How can I find the show times for our cruise?

They book out 90 days in advance, so you will have the show listings, so you can make your dinner reservation according to schedules

  3. I'm not trying to undermine the efforts made here - but I do not really understand the importance of the information.

Does service or the overall cruise experience vary based on who holds these positions? How would one cruise be different with a different Executive Staff?

I can understand if you had a crap Concierge or something, but I don't really see the need to know the rest.

Can someone shed some light on this?

ive never had the conceirge but the only one i care about is the cruise director. they are a huge part of the experience. last cd we had was non impressive and arrogant. He asked me to dance and i didn't know a specific latan dance so he told me to take lessons and went on his way. still trying to talk the hubbs into lesson because i was embarressed. One director who has moved on from ncl was sinan, he was amazing and enhanced the entire trip.

  4. you say you have organised a meet and greet so you must know the ship co ordinator doesn't make contact more than 3 weeks before and time and venue is organised by them .Ship provides venue refreshments and officers turnup but anything over and above that is up to participants on roll call

so not true, i have contacted up to 5 months in advance was given meet date/time and was asked to reconfirm 3 weeks prior with more accurate count, granted i only have organized twice and it was the same with both

  5. I enjoy the M/G but it all depends on the organizer, our last sailing the person who did it didn't even arrange for the meeting place until 3 weeks before sailing didn't keep tally of attendies and was so poorly put together, i thought about not attending. I did go and boring............ maybe a dozen people showed up and my dh is very outgoing and nobody would strike up a conversation with us. I enjoy meeting the staff and do like the m/g but if you are going to sign up to organize then organize. i don't think you need to spend a lot of money, my favorite was a book swap. i personally never met anyone i would want to mingle with on the ship but I will keep trying. The only thing I don't like is when too much stuff is planned ie m/g and slot pull and cabin crawl all done at differant times. don't need any trolls trashing me I'm just being honest for those who might organize what some people like and don't like. And I have been jipped I never got any perks for arranging m/g  but when I did it I had fun and I enjoy meeting the staff. I love CC and all the knowledge I have gotten and love love cruising. hope you all have a great day and until your next trip happy countdown.

  6. So I booked a night at the comfort suites August. 19 when we are in Nassau. Our stop is from 8 to 5. What time should I head back to the comfort suites in order to make it back to the ship? I plan to get right off the boat asap and grab the first taxi I see when we get there. Planning on spending a few hours in the water park .. Hour on the beach and maybe a few hours exploring. Will I have enough time to do this? Also this will be my first time at Atlantis.. Any tips I should know?

we just did the same time frame we loved atlantis, go through the digs first then do the water rides first, grap your tube and hit the not so lazy river and when you get to a water ride, get out and go on ride and then back into the river to the next one, this way you can enjoy this ride and don't loose your tube. enjoy a lunch and keep your refillable cup for more soda, remember they only use cards so cash won't help. then head to the beach and enjoy the beauty of the bahamas. make sure you get a locker and they will exchange towels out for you many times if you want a fresh one. also make sure they quote you on cab ride prior to leaving, if group of 4 i haggled price, have fun

  7. Hi everyone,

Cruise Critic has added 2,600+ photos of Norwegian Getaway to the site (including 500 pics and panoramas of cabins). Please check them out at http://gallery.cruisecritic.com/ships/norwegian-getaway-651/

(My faves are in the water slide gallery!)

If you haven't seen them already, we've also got 2,800 photos of Pride of America (http://gallery.cruisecritic.com/ships/pride-of-america-349/) and 1,500 photos of Norwegian Sky (http://gallery.cruisecritic.com/ships/norwegian-sky-150/)

    Enjoy!

    Colleen

thank you for the amazing pix

  8. Planning a last second cruise out of New Orleans. Surprised to see that there are no NCL ships currently sailing from New Orleans. What's up with that! Based on pricing I would think that this is prime season for cruises in the Caribbean.

Looks like I will have to cruise with the Carnival. What, no free UBP? And I would't even have complained about paying the gratuity!

prime time season to caribbean is january - april, i was in st thomas the third week of april and the stores were closing for the summer we got some great deals but now is time for bermuda and transatlantic, what ever you do have fun

  9. I also would like this info. We arrive in Miami jan 23,2016. I know it seems far out but need to plan. We are budget conscience for hotel I don't want a dive but don't wanna spend money that I could have for cruise. 3 star is fine

  10. Also, I think two bottles is the limit. There is an area on the NCL web site that address wine. It fails to mention the fact that they confiscate it from you until you pay up.

I have checked in 4 bottles last time, I found a new cab sauv on ship it was $39 on ship and in local stores it was 11.99 so we bought 1/2 case and got it for 10 a bottle with corking fee its still a saving, we will continue to pay fee and still save money
