Our experience was from about 12 years ago so memory is a little hazy. We took a taxi to Palm Beach and the taxi dropped us off at a resort (dont know the name). They said their part of the beach was for guests of resort only. We wandered up and down the beach and it was the same everywhere. Ended up at the edge of the beach where we couldnt rent chairs or umbrella. We were just about to leave and a nice man from one of the resorts allowed us to rent the chairs/umbrella. If you are here on a cruise and time is crucial i recommend having another plan or book something with a resort, perhaps things are different now?

Several years ago we did a tour with a man called Mandoo (that was his nickname) He was retired from the local police dept then so i expect he is no longer doing tours. I dont remember the cost but remember this being one of the most beautiful islands

Thanks for taking the time to post a great review. I feel well prepped for our B2B2B in Feb on the Venezia

We are booked on this cruise, first leg of B2B2B. Middle leg is a jouneys cruise so likely will be completely full. Hoping 1st and 3rd leg are a little less busy. We booked an interior as we likely won't use a balcony for 1/2 the cruise anyway. It will be interesting to see how busy the covered pool will be closer to NYC. We are Canadians and dont mind swimming in cool water

I just did a search on him. He is coaching the Dominican men’s cycling team (that includes his son). I was so sad to see that Bumpiing had closed that I had to find out what happened to him. We went with him twice and they were the best tours we have been on in the Caribbean.

Do you recommend purchasing train tickets ahead of time or just buy them on site (considering language barrier)

The fastest, easiest, most comfortable, and possibly one of the least expensive ways to go from Yokohama to Narita Airport is Narita Express.
A taxi from Osanbashi Cruise Terminal to Yokohama Station takes about 15 minutes and is not expensive.
Narita Express takes you from Yokohama Station to Narita Airport in 84 minutes for 4400 yen (about US$30) per person. The train has great luggage storage at each end of each car and also has free WIFI.
From the Narita Terminals you can get a taxi or hotel shuttle to any of the local nearby hotels.
Thank you very much... that is so helpful

Post cruise we are planning to stay near Narita airport for a few days before flying to Busan (first leg of a south Asian tour). How would you recommend transport from Yokohama cruise port to NRT? Keeping in mind cost is a factor for us... staying in Tokyo proper seems very expensive

I may have missed it but who is playing in the piano bar?

Sorry, it was tour #2 we did but I'm sure they are all good

https://www.azoreantours.com/. I can highly recommend this tour. I felt like we saw all the best things on the island. He rearranged the day because in the morning the clouds covered the lakes so we did other things then went back to the lakes. Much better than any ship excursion. We had about 7 people in our van so didn't waste time at each stop. We did tour #3

@Elaine5715 do you think increasing your credit limit on your credit card would be an influencing factor?

How much you “put through” the casino isn’t indicative of how much money you have or how you value it. Theoretically, one could put in a $20 bill and “run through” $82,500 without ever putting in another nickel…yup.... I would put on a diaper if i ever found a machine like that lol

If you put $82,500 through the casino why are you worried about a free cruise?

distilled water
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
While on the Freedom "ask the crew" session (Oct TA) they said the main source of potable water was from the "evaporators" . While in dry dock they added a reverse osmosis system to supplement the evaporators. Can you assume that evaporated water is virtually the same as distilled? If so the tap water should be fine for any CPAP
