  1. You can do it at guest services. On my last cruise I was at guest services and on the tv screen it said Vibe was sold out. I already had it booked but I was able to get a cabana and I will try again on my December cruise for the same. If you're two people it's a negligible uptick in price. PCC I talked to last night said something about there being a Vibe waitlist, so that if there is a cancellation you can get a reservation. I am 99% sure she put me on that list but I have to double check.
  2. Thank you! I love your insight. I will try to enjoy it more than the first time I had it, I felt restless. I need to learn to relax!
  3. Thank you for this! I have hope I can cope without a Vibe pass!
  4. The cruises are 12/21-12/28 then 12/28-1/4 Miami Bliss
  5. I’m very excited, I just turned my Christmas cruise into a b2b for new years week (traveling solo). It was not insanely expensive. Not sure what to expect upon finishing the first cruise, do I get off and do customs or something else? I got the same cabin for both cruises so I don’t have to move. I only have the Vibe for the first leg, which at first upset me but my strategy is this: spend all the first cruise hanging in the Vibe, enjoying it all. Save excursions for the second leg (same ports), so I am off the ship more and I also got the thermal suite pass and Bliss thermal suite looks really nice. This way I can avoid the psycho pool deck as much as possible. The PCC I dealt with told me get on the wait list for the Vibe for the second cruise, I might get it. But I figure time in the Vibe is a lot of drinking and partying and I might not even want that for the second cruise and want to do different stuff and explore the ship more. When I’m in Vibe I just tend to stay parked there all day and not see/do anything else. I’m so excited I never did a new years cruise! Any advice for a newbie b2b and new years, I’m all ears. My plan is to take 7 days of clothing and just wear it all over again, I cannot pack 14 days of unique stuff and still fly underweight lol.
  6. I’ve never seen conditions like that on any cruise, I agree it’s gross.
  7. Yes you will have control. This recently happened to me, person #2 cancelled the cruise.
  8. That is very useful as I have a Royal cruise next June. Maybe they could transfer it to that one. Thanks.
  9. No I got broken up with, cruise cancelled by other party
  10. Thanks for all your info. I had a boatmance. It didn’t work out. Feeling like an idiot. Had a lot of fallout, Yiikes I am a loser.
  11. And yes, if you no longer have a car, you can get a refund on the unused part of the premium you paid on insurance because who insures something they no longer own?? I had a cruise for zero percent of the premium I paid.
  12. What’s your point? To be mean? Thanks. Someone cancelled my cruise without my knowledge. I’m just trying to salvage things the best I can and an extra $100 would be helpful to have back in my bank account since it’s wasted on nothing now that I am not cruising.
  13. I purchased this for a November cruise that was recently cancelled (not by me, by the person I was to sail with). Today I called to cancel this and they said you had to cancel like 10 days after buying it and I am now outside that window. Do you think there is any chance I could get my money back somehow? It’s a total loss since I’m not even cruising (I got a full refund on the cruise). The lady on the phone today was a hard no. But if anyone had an experience where they could get a refund after the expiration date passed, please let me know and how you did it.
  14. It's offering me oceanview or balcony. It still shows me in the studio today so I will wait a few more days and keep checking.
  15. Today I changed my cabin from a studio to a solo inside. Later on today I got an offer to bid for an upgrade, but it still says I am in the studio. Will this affect my chances and should I wait until it shows me as inside, or it makes no difference and the system will know. I do want to bid, I would like to try to an upgrade but I don’t want to do it if I am messing up my chances. It’s a December cruise so there is time.
  16. I never had to use the customer service before. The lady on the phone was nice today but she said I have to wait a while and see if NCL will fix it before they do anything, and wants all kinds of details so I tried to put that together today but it's so complicated. I feel like I need to give a Ted talk about this screw up lol
  17. Will they actually follow up to these online submissions, and do they do it via email or call you? I have so many details to go through I can't imagine doing it back and for in emails. And I usually don't prefer to talk on the phone but they screwed my billing up so badly I can't imagine it can be done any way but by phone.
  18. Well, update to the saga, nothing has been resolved. I read the final statement wrong. What is really said was that I was charged for all the onboard purchases but not credited for all the things they removed. So I just spent a few hours going through my Amex statements and my docs from NCL to compile a detailed list of what is owed, which is close to $500, not $745. A couple things were recently refunded. Most were not. Now I have all the proof, Amex assured my if NCL doesn't fix this they will take care of me. What a waste of my time.
  19. Some of you may have seen my previous post about paying for a lot of extras pre-cruise and getting them dropped from my account without warning or refund. They zeroed out my account at the end of the cruise by showing a credit for all the extras I paid for but did not get, it $745. This is clearly shown in the column of "credits/refunds" and the balance is 0. Today they CHARGED my Amex $745. Anyone know a number or email address I could use to get through about this? The general NCL number person told me there is no phone number and the only thing I could do is fill out an online form, which I did. Any advice is appreciated. I will now call Amex and dispute this charge. I thought the nightmare was over!
  20. That makes total sense. I guess I did not know people did that, I always use a chair for long periods of time. Thanks for letting me know!
  21. Their website frequently has problems or just doesn't work at all. About 50% of the time I go there it's not working right. Using Chrome on Windows 10. Also goes wacko on my iPad so not OS related.
  22. I don't understand these comments that unless you are literally sitting IN your chair you may not lay claim to it. So if I want to swim I should uproot all my stuff and put in on the ground or in a locker? Of course I leave my stuff if I swim or hot tub, it's only about 15 minutes and I'm back. There is a reasonable way to use a chair, like the example I just gave, and then there are people who claim and never use it for hours (or at all ) and are nowhere in the vicinity. If you are having a quick bite after you've already been using your chair for a while I think it's totally fine to leave your stuff since you're coming right back. I would not necessarily advise just claiming the chair first, not using it, going for food and then coming back, although it's not a federal crime IMO. If your plan is to mostly be using your chair throughout the day on and off and not gone for a long time, keep your stuff there. If the staff move it then you know that is not accepted behavior.
  23. I never really even had to deal with GS on a cruise before except once on HAL. They kept charging me for drinks I never had every single day. It was annoying to have to go there but they always just removed it without question or argument.
