  1. Thanks for the responses. I too had spa access on my last cruise so I never looked for this. We don't plan to purchase the spa pass again as we didn't enjoy it as much as the Gem spa. DH likes the sauna, so that will work for him.

Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

  2. Actually I did end up calling NCL. I checked my wife's account just before I called them and it still showed her status still as past guest. Not sure if my call had anything to do with it but the person I talked to said check her account now its been updated. Her cruise history was now updated but it still said past guest. Later in the day it did show her as platinum again. I sure wish they wouldn't keep changing our numbers though.

Just an update. I called the latitudes number today and after explaining my issue and being transferred a few times, they resolved the problem. It did take a little while, but I eventually spoke to someone who helps with website issues.

Try calling. Do not wait the 4-6 week turnaround time via email.

  3. My wife in December went from Platinum to Past Guest with no cruise history. I sent in an email Dec 12th no response yet. I figured to give them a little time before I called. So its been three weeeks now. Guess its getting to call as we cruise again In February.

I have the same issue and am sailing in 4 weeks. A rep is trying to fix it now. She told me I need to click "I am a latitudes member" in the Latitudes section, "are you a latitudes member?" This is the same response listed under FAQ. Except I don't see that section anywhere. Very frustrating.

Please let me know if someone finds a solution!

  4. Just booked this category to Bermuda in July 2014. I booked cabin 10312 (config B).

My main question is do people prefer the config A (bedroom window) or config B (bathroom window).

    I can't decide. We will be 2 adults and 2 kids (6 & 3).

    Pros of Config B:

    - cleaner layout

    - big shower

    - big bathtub by window

    - main con: smaller bedroom

    Config A:

    - window in bedroom

    - extra balcony door in bedroom

    - bigger bedroom

    - main cons: very small shower, kind of odd layout

There are still cabins of each left to pick. Would like to hear opinions. I am torn....

    Thanks!

If your children will be sleeping in the living room area, it may be good to have access to the balcony through your bedroom. You won't have to disturb them if you want to sit outside while they sleep.

I am not trVeling with children but like the idea of the extra balcony access.

  5. Hello. We got to the suite about 12:30. It really is beautiful but the living room and dining room are much narrower than I expected. BTW, Joemar says hello. He remembers you and your husband and daughter. He is a sweetheart! We still have not met our butler yet. I will let you know who that is. It is a very gray day with drizzle so unfortunately it will not be the clearest sail away. But, I am sure we can suffer on that wonderful balcony.

Anyhow, now that the day is here I just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful review.

Yes, please come back and tell us everything. I am in this same suite on October 20, all thanks to Onthegomom. I switched from a deck 9 S6 to this one based on her review.

Please let me know if Slam Allen will be back. I hope to get to see him on my cruise.

    Thanks,

  6. First, we always look for great deals, and use AMEX and Latitudes OBC offers. I do not like sailing non-freestyle. NCL really is the way for us to cruise. We do not bring suits, ball gowns, and we do not need or want a corsage delivered on dress up nights. NCL ships are fun, active and we love the SR's! We have been on others, but NCL makes us happy.

If we were to pay more for Regent or Crystal we would sail on smaller ships with less amenities, and pay more for smaller rooms and tiny balcoines. I want to play in the big casino, dress for dinner at cagney's then do jello shots at the white hot party. :)

    Hi Cherie,

My sentiments exactly. We are thinking about trying for Bermuda again but want the Gem! How was the ship? Did you write a review?

  7. Radio, I am so LOVING this...I have been looking forward to your LIVE report on the Explorer since I read about you going on a month ago or so.

My DH is a bartender on the Explorer , he is working in the Chamber this cruise . so if you get a chance go down and say Hi to Troy and tell him his DW (leslie) sends a big kiss!!

Thanks again for doing the LIVE report , it is fantastic..makes me feel like I am almost back there visiting !

    leslie:D

    Hi Leslie,

So cool to have your DH work on the ship (although it must get lonely)!

One of my favorite bartenders was working in the Chamber last November. Her name is Hangmi. Do you know her? Do you know if she will be on the EOS this coming November? It would be great to know. I will be on the Thanksgiving cruise this year. I will look for Troy!

    Thanks,

    Marilyn

  8. Radio, I'll be there in 3 weeks. While I'm not nearly the photographer that you are, let me know if there is something you'd like a picture of so you can measure progress. I'd be happy to take it for you. Thanks again for your great review and for the pictures. I'm so excited for this cruise. Our whole group (my family as well as the CC M&M Group) followed your trip. Can't wait for the next one.

    Hi Patty,

I would also be interested in any updates on Labadee. We will be visiting there in mid-November and I am curious if we will still have to tender or will the dock be ready. Also wondering if the cabanas will be completed. They look awesome in Radio's pics!
