Did you get a scallop pie in Hobart?
No today but perhaps Tomorrow. The Salamanca Markets had scollops on a stick though.😄

Wow Cheryle, that is so bad that people may have stolen them.
We had a couple of games when we were on board, love those tables.
Hope you guys are having a good cruise.
Going ok Chez, but not our preferred cruise obviously. Haven’t had your problem thankfully.

Currently on Brilliance and about to lose internet. We just had an announcement thru all cabins and dining room that 22 billiard balls have been misplaced or stolen on this cruise and they are wanting them returned. I did have to check my watch to see it wasn’t 1st April. Third world problem for Royal Caribbean as it has apparently never happened before.

I did a walk in Melbourne and so many places I didn’t know about.
The Royal exhibition building is a beautiful building that I didn’t know existed. We are going to try to do a tour in January.
If you are mobile do a historical walk, there’s quite a few.
We probably will stay on the ship!

Yes, 5.5 kms or an hour and a bit each way , there is public transport of course but it is a good walk.
We can do the walk, not that old yet! Just not my favourite destination!

I read the email.
We are excited about welcoming you on the fabulous Brilliance of the seas ,oh there’s a bit of a change.
No compensation Cheryl?
I still haven’t received the email. I was just reading it again on FB and they really have a ‘Spin Doctor’ to write their letters. Apparently you can cancel, but not additional OBC.
I have had emails re checking in (3 times), Health survey (twice) and OBC details (once) but nothing about change of itinerary . I feel sorry for everyone who booked excursions as discounted prices in AUD prior to the cruise, now to go on board and book excursions at full price and in US dollars. It is a win, win situation for Royal. A little extra OBC wouldn’t hurt, but that is how you make billion dollar profits I guess.
Nothing to do with this cruise or change of itinerary, but feel this could be our last Royal Caribbean cruise, definitely not the same, looking at activities . Husband will be happy though Veterans get to gether on every day!!!!!

Sadly not, it will be off to Melbourne today with the Resilient Lady, but just as good, or better, I will be there to welcome you. 😂😂😂😂😂
I know you will be there, smiling as usual! See you Friday. Hopefully a quick check in with less people.

So happy to hear you are joining us on the cruise, even though it is disappointing for you to not see your son especially due to your families recent loss. Our friend Ros is cruising with us and she will now get to see her son James as he lives in Hobart. My husband and I have never been to Tasmania and James has offered to pick the 3 of us up both days and show Davy and I all the major sights. This is very exciting for us.
I hope we all have a wonderful cruise and I hope you get to see your son soon.
Thank you. We have good friends in Adelaide who we will go to lunch with and I do like Salamanca Markets, so that will be enjoyable. We did book a tour for Eden but Melbourne….not for me.🤣. You will live Hobart, it is a most wonderful place to visit. Hope you have a great cruise….we will!

I haven’t received the email as yet, but know the changes are happening. Interesting that there is no option to cancel except thru TI. We had decided to go anyway…wherever it was going. In Sydney already and having a drink near Resilient Lady! PS The only email I have had today is re my OBC.

Speculation is done by either optimists or pessimists, and very rarely by realists.
Speculation of the seas is at it again!

Where else would you be going other than Hobart ,Adelaide or Melbourne.
Its a domestic cruise.
Hobart and Adelaide would be fine!

Enjoy, no matter where you end up.
This cruise has been doomed for us. We originally booked to see our new grandson for Xmas who unfortunately didn’t live, then we decided still to go to see our son and now???? We wish we had the opportunity to cancel. Have even done a Covid test this morning!

You might need something warm ,it can get cold in southern Australia.
I told my friends that and to take their Myki card for Melbourne.NOT MELBOURNE Chili!😩

Oh no! Have you got cold weather clothes ready for a diversion down South?
Just adding a few extra clothes now, but leaving home shortly!

Friday, that’s right, must be daylight saving confusing me .
The overnight in Cairns is the highlight for them, maybe as G said ,they might reverse it .
For me to, definitely the highlight. Not planning to get off anywhere else at this stage.

They could just reverse it. Eden first then head north. Port schedules are pretty open.
I can live it hope as an overnighter actually at the Port in Cairns was the only reason this cruise appealed to us!

Why is that Glen ? Is that the cyclone?
My sister and friends are on Brilliance to Cairns on Saturday.
We leave Friday Chili and feeling slightly nervous. Son who lives in Cairns feels there is no way I will see him overnight next week.😢

We got exactly the same worded letter except 25%.....forgot to add in post above that deck 3 aft was definately poop deck, they were always spraying it with Eucalyptus spray as it stunk of sewer.
Stewards told us that there had been many leaks, so they just keep spraying.
Chez, you don’t give me much hope for our cruise next week.! Although we are on deck 10!

In 2019 on Queen Elizabeth we had Borocay changed to Nagasaki, just an amazing experience and we were so happy with the change.
On the downside on QM2 we had Halong Bay changed to Na Trang which we had only been to a week before on Queen Victoria. It was ok, but really wanted Halong Bay, which is one of the reasons we actually booked QM2.

No more news of the billard balls. They said they had the cameras but they were hoping for an honesty system.
