So true. The Swans have had a pretty good run lately, at least making the playoffs. This year it will be a lot tougher 🙂

Another week, another loss. <sigh> Go Swans!

In the continuing shocks this season, the game was on here! I watched a little at the beginning, fell asleep. I woke up in the 3Q and saw the (very) lopsided score, so went back to sleep. What a disappointment. Go Swans!

OMG, so true! These 2 have spent their lives outside, no human contact and never in the house 😮 What could go wrong??? Actually, they have adapted well to being inside, they just don't get the 'don't pee in the house thing'. They also know how to use the doggy door--but only when it suits them! No mental link to "oh, I can use the doggy door to pee outside and mom won't be mad" 🙂 This too shall pass...

Every week will be tough this season, I fear 😆 I am enjoying getting to see some of the games though. LOL--those would have been great choices but no. We adopted them from a rescue group and they were already named; they told us we couldn't change the names. So, we are stuck with Jo and Gatsby!! They are very sweet but not house trained--and that has been stressful for all of us. We have now gone 5 days without any accidents; the record is 1 week. We'll see 🤞

Thanks Mic. I have lost all track of time. We have 2 new dogs and they are keeping me very busy, so I barely have time for other things. Glad the Swans are back on track! Go Swans!

Thanks for posting the scores Mic. In a minor miracle, the Swans game was on TV here. I watched the beginning of the game but fell asleep. What I saw, the Swans were having a tough time scoring. It sounds like it ended up a great game, too bad the Swans lost 😞 Go Swans!

Thanks for that link Docker. I don't know nearly as much as you and the others here, but even I thought while I watched the game that the Swans were going to Buddy too much. Maybe if they used him more strategically, it could extend his play for this season?? Go Swans!

Yes, I thought about your family when I saw who the Swans were playing. I was pretty sure at least some would be at the game! I think the game announcers said the same. Buddy is getting up there, may not have enough left to compete with the younger guys. I hope he turns it around and has a good season but he is closer to the end of his career than the beginning. I'll miss him.

Thanks Docker for posting the score! In a minor miracle, the game was on TV here, even at a reasonable time! I watched the 1st Q, decided I was too sleepy to watch--and the Swans weren't looking that good. Checked back in just before 4Q and the Swans were still losing--no scoring frenzy happened, so I gave up and went back to sleep. I sure hope this was just a bad night, the Swans looked terrible. Buddy may be feeling his age, finally scored but hasn't been a good start for him. Better luck next week???😄 ML

TBH, I didn't notice a huge price difference, once I allowed for the extra that is charged for those aft wake-view cabins. We will be on the Eclipse, which I think is an older ship?? Nice to get such a good upgrade--we've never been that lucky!

I didn't know they give more points--that might be useful. Doubt we will use RS anymore--I'm not paying $10 plus an 18% tip. We can take turns getting some breakfast stuff or just go and eat. We love the aft cabins over the wake and try and get them whenever we can.

Hi all We'll be taking a NE/Canada cruise in 2024 and we booked an aft sunset veranda cabin. I noticed in our reservation, X calls this cabin a "sunset veranda concierge class". I looked to see what this means, and as far as I can tell, all it really gives us is access to a concierge who can make dinner reservations for us. Did I miss something? There are other things listed but they seem the same as other cabins (mini-fridge with extra charges if you actually drink anything, laundry for extra fee, stuff like that). I was hoping we would get no fee room service or something useful but I guess not. What is the actual point of "concierge class"? Thanks for any help.

Better game so far than Bombers game--finally the Suns scored, halfway thru the 1stQ. Go Swans! (Wish that game was on here!).

This is a hot topic here in the US in all sports, especially football. Lots of new rules about players having to come out of games and get checked by an independent (i.e., not team paid) doctor. It is so serious that many parents won't let their sons play football, which is seen as threat to the future of the game here. Even in Texas, where they have a long tradition of serious high school football. Several US pro players have donated their brains to labs after they die, to be checked for CTE (concussions). They are finding some links too. Having recently had brain surgery for a spontaneous hematoma, I can relate to how serious this is. I can't imagine having a concussion. Or even more than one, like many NFL and AFL players get. Very Scary.

Oooh, that kind of bump 😆 Silly me, I'm still learning all the tech speak of AFL! I'm sure it was a totally innocent, accidental touch, nothing deliberate 😇 How long before we know how it is ruled? Thanks for clarifying. ML
