We and our usual cruising mates are very partial to Grills. They have a nicely diverse menu with something for every taste, and the service has always been prompt and efficient.
We tried Fishlips and weren't very impressed; mediocre food and service.
Haven't tried Rusty's.

Ive also heard rumors from DCL staff that Magic will not be getting the aquadunk.
Magic already has it. Do you mean Wonder ?

I know on our recent Magic cruise (eastbound transatlantic) the AquaDunk seldom saw much action.
As chilly, windy and rough as much of that cruise was, that's not too surprising. We saw several days when the AquaDunk was open and manned, but they had no takers.

They've been talking about accepting electronic "passes" from other states for years, but nothing has happened. The authority that controls the Beachline Expressway between Orlando and Canaveral has this posted on their FAQ page:
I have a transponder from another state (i.e., FasTrak, E-ZPass, Toll Tag); Can I use it to pay my tolls here?Quick Pass from North Carolina and PeachPass from Georgia can be used on any road with the E-PASS or SunPass logo. You can also use your E-PASS in North Carolina on the Quick Pass system and in Georgia on the PeachPass system. Passes from other states are not accepted in Florida.
E-PASS, SunPass and LeeWay (Lee County) are compatible with each other and may be used on toll roads and bridges throughout Florida.
Paying cash, the tolls between MCO airport and the port are only $2.00.

I think your visit was on a Friday. Liverpool tend to put on celebrations and events on Saturday or Sunday when more people are not in work and the children don't have to go to school. However I hope you enjoyed your visit here.
:)
Correct. We were there on Friday, May 27th. It was an impressive turnout for a Friday.
We absolutely enjoyed our visit. The highlight was tours of the Catholic and Anglican cathedrals. And your fellow residents were very friendly and helpful. We hope to return when we have more time to enjoy everything the city has to offer.

We were in Liverpool aboard Magic toward the end of our transatlantic cruise last month. The ship drew large crowds, but there was none of the shoreside activities you saw.

Per Wikipedia: "Egg Island is an uninhabited island, officially an islet, comprising 800 m2 (8,611 sq ft) in the Bahamas. It's so named because it is home to chickens owned by residents of other nearby islands who travel here to collect the eggs."
What could DCL possibly do with an "island" that is only 8,611 square feet ? That's less than the size of my backyard, which is by no means large.

Damage to the ship is a bit more than a "scratch". See the photo in the attached link. It takes a pretty hard hit to tear the steel hull of a ship.

Yeah' date=' well....IMHO they destroyed the Magic atrium during the "re-imagination." They took out a beautiful chandelier, different design than the Wonder but same artist, and replaced it with a hunk of junk. They removed the double staircase which allowed for so many amazing "staging" events.[/quote']
This was the original Chihuly chandelier on Magic.

Any more info on this ? There's been nothing in the media (and we all know how they drool over stories like that!) or that I've found on other websites.

Pop can not be checked with luggage , he must check in with Mom .[emoji6]
That made my day !! :)
I worked in the baggage area at Orlando Airport for 13 years. I cannot even begin to estimate how many bags came through dripping and with the contents soaked with booze and broken glass. They can't be loaded aboard the aircraft like that, because (1) the booze is flammable, and (2) it contaminates any other bags it comes in contact with.
There was an old Samsonite luggage commercial showing a gorilla tossing suitcases around. That mental picture should be enough to make you think twice about packing liquids like that in suitcases.

Precisely why we just stay aboard in Nassau. Been there, done that, been harassed by the locals, don't need to do it again.

Prices vary quite a bit depending on many factors. 3 night, 4 night, or 7 night ? How many people ? What destination(s) ?

We have also been on several February cruises, and the weather has always been great.

DCL ship rescued a man and his wife from their disabled sailboat near Cuba. He was identified as a person wanted for a hacking attack on a Boston hospital and was associated with the hacker group "Anonymous".

Underway at 7:10pm.

Almost 6pm and she's still at the dock. Any word if the delay is connected to repairs for this problem ?

Thanks for so many photos. We haven't been on Magic since 2009, so it's nice to see how the staterooms have been upgraded. We'll be aboard Magic again in May for the eastbound transatlantic.
-
We are also on the transatlantic in May. Rather than deal with possibly missing our flight , we are taking the train from Dover into London and spending a few nights there, doing the tourist routine, then catching a direct flight to Orlando out of Gatwick on June 1st.

Good things--most companies allow a 15 or 30 minute stop at a store of your choosing. If you need diapers' date=' formula, or whatever ....or [b']adult beverages,[/b]
Just keep in mind DCL's fairly recent changes to what kinds and quantities of beverages you can bring aboard...

Five years ago today, the brand-new Disney Dream made her first appearance at Port Canaveral. We were honored to be among the throngs at Jetty Park to watch her make her dramatic entrance to the port.

Castaway Cay if you are on DCL. Not sure who has Coco Cay.
That's Royal Caribbean's private island.

Plastic and rubber does not show up on the x-rays that are used to screen checked luggage....
Have to correct you on that. Plastic and rubber DO show up on baggage xrays, or at least they did during the 13 years I screened baggage. Even cloth shows up; it's all a matter of the operator's interpreting the image's density and shape.
Disney Fantasy loses an anchor

Yep. Last time I shopped for one at West Marine, they had just sold their last 7.5 ton anchor to some guy with an 18' center console.....:D
Anybody heard whether it's been recovered and reinstalled yet ?
