    3 oz. Pina Colada Mix

My better half's favorite. A server (Sylvan) who we had on several cruises recommended it, and she loves them now.

  2. Because of privacy concerns, DCL will not entertain requests for such information. Hopefully someone cruising prior to your cruise will be able to find out for you. Have you checked the roll call forum to try to identify someone going on Fantasy two or three weeks before your trip ?

Crew Members often move from ship to ship, particularly at the beginning of a new contract. Sometimes it's at the CM's request and sometimes due to the company's operational requirements. We have seen the same dining server on two of the ships, and one of the bar attendants on three different ships; talking with him, we learned that he has been on all four ships at various times.

  3. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!! Brent has been the CD on four of our cruises. We were hoping and praying that he'd be the CD on our Transatlantic next spring. He has always been totally approachable and genuinely friendly. On one occasion he sent a bagful of DCL goodies to our stateroom with a handwritten note thanking us for our patronage of DCL. He will be sorely missed. :(

  4. We're on the EBTA next May (our 50th Anniversary present to ourselves), our first TA but our 9th DCL cruise. It will also be our third aboard Magic, our favorite in the DCL fleet. We are really looking forward to it, and I was glad to read some of the info above.

  5. I just looked also, and don't see anything for Costa Maya. I'm not 100% certain, but I believe that Costa Maya was a temporary port of call for DCL; normally on the East coast of Mexico they only go to Cozumel and that seems to be the case for all of 2016.

  6. Tina, I know they won't let you bring food items such as homemade casseroles, fried chicken, baked goods etc., but I really don't think you'd have any problem bringing small quantities of sealed yogurt or applesauce. I was going to research further on the DCL website, but it's presently down. Regardless, it would probably be worthwhile to give them a call and emphasize that these items are basically a medical necessity.

The rooms do have small refrigerators, but they are not stocked like a mini-bar.

Unlike almost every other cruise line, DCL does allow you to bring alcohol aboard; the only stipulation is that it must be in your carry-on bags. There is no quantity limit otherwise. So, yes - - you can enjoy your wine on the verandah. If you bring a bottle to the dining room, you'll be charged a "corkage fee" of $20.

  7. We did have a ship that ran aground in Grand Cayman (right off the Seven Mile Beach area) for a total of 72 days. It was the Rhapsody and it occured during the Summer of 2004. I have a picture taken by a friend who was vacationing in Grand Cayman that shows the ship grounded right near the beach. I must say it was a stressful 72 days for all employees. Especially the day when we had to work 36 to 40 hours straight while we were bringing back the guests from the stranded ship.

Carlos, I think you may have misstated the date the Rhapsody went aground. I found this info on another site:

"Further worries arose on March 28th 1984, when the Rhapsody ran aground on Grand Cayman, near Georgetown. After having been stuck on the rocks for three days, the displeased and angered passengers were taken off and flown home on the 31st. The Rhapsody was firmly lodged where she lay, and it took more than two months to get her refloated. On June 15th, she finally came off the rocks after much difficulty, and was then towed to Galveston to undergo the necessary repairs. In September she was back in service doing cruises from Port Everglades, but this was merely a last, desperate attempt from her owners to make her profitable again. Her time with Paquet Cruises had been a failure, and she was soon put up for sale again."
