Thank you, this morning has been VERY emotional with me fighting off the tears and he denying he has any problem!  Thankfully I have support online with Alzheimer's Assoc and my mom who cared for my dad for many many years with the same disease.  It truly helps to be able to talk about it.

I’m so glad you are using the Alz Assoc resources.  I am a community educator for them as is my husband Jim. I teach warning signs and better living for a better brain. Jim is working to be a men’s support group leader.  I’ve lost several family members to the horrible disease.  My why to be involved.  Jim says my family history is his why in case he has to take care of me if I get the disease.  The Alz Association is one organization I believe in contributing too as I see the research and the community resources they provide.  Always remember to take care of you on the journey!

I have to laugh at the blue card thing. Why does it bother folks? Some people have cruised many lines and it may be their first Carnival cruise (we all had a first cruise). But what’s the judgement? You deserve service before them? Who cares what status you are. In reality all ya get is a “free” lunch and laundry service. Oh and some water…the card colors are stupid. 10 cruises at an interior vs 1 cruise in the presidential suit, who has a higher “status”? Anyhoo, I get the comedy to it but we all had that blue card….or better yet the old fish in the water tropical card. Wish they would go back to that!

Now those were some pretty cards. Had a separate room key though if I remember correctly.

  3. I finally have some cruises on the books. Although not until January, my wonderful TA booked us on a 12 day princess - Aruba, Bonaire, partial transit, Costa Rica and grand cayman. Taking my dad.  If you remember the Tribe Cruise that we almost missed due to my dad having heart surgery.  We have him healthy and independent and his wife decides he should stay here and wants a divorce. So we are taking him for his one year anniversary of better days and better health. We have also joined the VV sept 2025 cruise group.  So new adventures ahead.  Just too far ahead.  Need something this summer. Too much time off accrued and no plans = no fun!

  4. @Knights on the Beachjust noticed we are neighbors.  We are in Lakeland.

thanks for sharing your thoughts and pics of the trip as well.

Jeff and Patti looking forward to more.  Can’t wait until we have a countdown clock running again. So much going on here we haven’t been able to commit to anything right now.  Praying Patti’s surgery goes well and she can walk more comfortably soon.

Good morning Tribe Family! It's our last day aboard the Carnival Vista. Bulk of the day will be spent in the Havana area, and then of course we have to pack. It's been a great relaxing two weeks. Once off the ship tomorrow we will be heading straight home. I hope to get the review up and running by May 1st. I admit that I have been lax in keeping up with Patti's pictures, so I'll have to step it up once we get home. Have a great weekend everyone! 😎

Sounds like Cheers has paid off well the last two weeks.  Will miss catching up this trip.  Safe travels home to you and Pattie. We will be watching for your review.  We have a couple to follow while waiting.

  6. Good Saturday here.  Went to Tampa not the best idea as had to drive I4 through stop and go traffic for the Strawberry Festival.  Finally made it to one of my favorite restaurants, Coopers Hawk. Had a deal for a free wine flight during lunch hours.  Also, needed to pickup three months of wine of the month bottles.  Enjoyed a great Ginger Soy Salmon with Wasabi Mashed Potatoes and Asian Slaw.  Have leftovers for another meal.  Home now for an early evening as we lose an hour overnight.
