  1. We were hoping to do the BioIsland electric boat tour of the Bio Bay at Fallardo when we are in San juan before our cruise in December but when I checked with BioIsland for either Dec. 5 or Dec. 6 that were full. We're on their wait list but I'm not holding my breath.

I've tried contacting Baby Bay, the other electric boat company a few times and have gotten no response.

  2. We left the hotel late morning (10 or 11, not sure exactly). We spent a few hours at El Yunque, and then a few hours at the beach. Our tour with Bioisland was at 6:00 so we planned on being there at 5:30 just in case we had any trouble finding it. We got there at 5:30 and had time to wander around and see the booths set up with food and crafts before we left. After the Bio tour, we wandered around a little bit more, had another Pina Colada, and finally got back to the hotel sometime around 9:30pm.

Thanks! That helps me with the rental car timing!

  3. Thanks for the great review! I was glad to see the section that covered El Yunque and your trip with BioIsland! My wife and I are going to be in San Juan for a couple of days before a cruise on Celebrity and we are planning on renting a car one day and driving to El Yunque and seeing the bio bay with BioIsland.

How much time did you spend at El Yunque and at the beach?

Also, what time was your tour with Bioisland?

Finally, what time did you get back to your hotel?

    Thanks!

  4. Therefore it affects only a small percentage of passengers, namely, first time X passengers who are not staying in a suite, who did not book the air through ChoiceAir, and who did not purchase transfer from X.

As one of that small percentage of passengers (first time on Celeb, can't afford a suite, using miles for air and arriving a couple of days early so Celeb transfer not possible), I sure hope that this procedure isn't in place in San Juan in December. We'll be in San Juan for 2 1/2 days before the cruise so we don't need extra time to explore. We'll be ready to board and explore the new ship instead.

Sounds like a good reason to join the Captain's Club, even the precruise level as that would give you priority boarding in this case.

I hope that is the case!

  5. A new level of Captain's Club where you can enroll in Captain's Club before taking your first Celebrity cruise. The information is on Celebrity's website.

I went through the process to sign up for this, which included logging in to my Celebrity account, and now I can no longer see my December cruise, and when I try to add it I get a message that they are having technical difficulties  Hopefully that will get resolved soon!

  6. No, I demand freshly ground pepper. I just don't expect to have to do it myself after a hard day at the beach or lifting numerous martini glasses ,tiring my wrists. I want to have my waiter or assistant haul one of those six foot mills to my table and do his job.

I think you have ALL missed the point of this thread...

If we are forced to grind our own pepper we risk a serious wrist injury that would prohibit us getting our money's worth out of the free drink package!

    :D :D :D

  7. This is the Breeze, there are only 2 different eateries that are extra, the Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse @ 35 pp and the Cucina del Capitano @ 12.50 for dinner. It's not like one of the larger NCL and RCI ships that have close to double digit venues that will drain your wallet. ;)

Don't forget Bonsai Sushi and the bar snacks in the Red Frog Pub. Those are additional charge as well.

  8. Hi

I'll be in 3112 on the Summit on December 14th...

I was on the Summit in march of this year (cabin 8002) and went to see the cabin.... It's a SUPER cabin.....

It's a very quiet area.... just a few people walking by

I'm pretty sure you will love it....

Cool! Thanks! We'll be in there the week before you. Maybe I'll hide a note somewhere in the cabin :D

  9. I'm sailing on Summit on Sunday. Since there has been so much discussion of the deck chairs I promise to investigate and report back upon my return. I'll even post some photos of the new - or old - deck chairs.

    Janet

    Thanks, Janet.

My goal is to get all of these issue resolved before we sail in December :D

  10. The lounge chairs on Deck 11 are awful!!!!! They should have all been tossed and replaced during the refurb. They are worn, dirty, some broken and rusty and have no pads. When I walked on Deck 11, it was hard to believe I was on a Celebrity ship. Modern Luxury....NOT!!!!

I've read several reports on the poor condition of the lounge chairs on deck 11. Does anyone have a picture of these chairs? If I encountered lounges that bad on any ship I would take pictures to send to the line so they can see for themselves.
