@LindaConnYou are asking about Caribbean princess but the concept is the same for other ships. The aft dining room is difficult to reach, the elevators don't go all the way down but people say it's quieter. The two mid ship dining rooms, Deck 5 and Deck 6, both serve dinner. Deck 6 dining room serves breakfast daily and lunch on sea days.

We had an appointment last Monday for our passports and were told it would be '5 weeks or sooner'. My husbands arrived TODAY! Our friend mailed hers in mid-May and got it yesterday.

On the CB covered balconies on mini suites are prime real estate. I think they only exist on emerald deck and tend to sell fast. All dolphin deck (90% of minis on CB) are open air.Thanks. Not ideal for Norway/Iceland but we’ll just have to make the best of it.

Thanks. We were able to do that on the Grand so, hopefully, this time they’ll actually pay attention to the pre boarding request.

I just checked the insurance coverage with Princess and the coverage amounts are a total joke! $20,000. emergency medical, $75,000. evacuation. Not even close to what's needed.

I've only ever stayed in mini-suites on Princess so I find the showers to be extremely roomy compared to other cruise lines where I've not had the tub combo.
We're booked in a mini-suite for May 2024 so hoping you'll answer the 2 questions I have. Is there any coverage above on the balcony and can you get a hand held showerhead? Thanks.

Alesund is very hilly and, if you have ANY mobility issues, walking is not an option. We did the 70 minute City Train and the highlight was the view from Mount Askla. Can't believe people would actually walk all the way up; must be in FANTASTIC shape.

I kept track of our beverage spending to determine what is best for us; Canadian non alcohol drinkers. We paid $473.07 Canadian for two classic Soda packages. If we had paid individually the cost would have been $532.22 Canadian which included the 18% gratuity. However, on our upcoming September cruise with the increased cost of $619.08 for the classic Soda packages it’s a no brainer to pay individually. We will also, for the first time, carry on our 24 cans of Soda which will reduce our costs further. New pricing means no packages for us.

If you saved up all your money to cruise but decided to go when it was cheaper but the weather was more risky because you did not research enough about the destination, too bad.
I agree with your sentiments with the exception of not researching weather. That, as we all know, is unpredictable. The cruises experiencing adverse weather conditions in the past 2 weeks alone is proof of that. Wildfires in a Halifax; mind boggling.
Since I no longer care to be mired in misery with certain posters on this thread I bid you farewell. Happy travels.

We were surprised we enjoyed the fountain Diet Coke over the cans on our recent Southampton/Norwegian fjord/Iceland cruise. We particularly disliked the cans from Netherlands.
-
We were on Sky Princess and missed our stops in Grundarfjordur, Reykjavik and Akureyri over the past week. A local in Isafjordur told us this was very unusual weather for this time of year. We have rebooked for next year hoping to actually get to these ports. Weather all over lately has been very unpredictable.

We took a taxi from Holiday Inn. It was a beautiful day but, to save 10 pound, it's a long walk and, to us, not worth the effort. We saw a lady dragging a wheeled suitcase and a carry on trying to get a luggage cart part way without success since the carts were for use by the patrons of the car park.

Glad we trusted the excellent information provided in this thread. We used National Express for transportation direct from LHR to Southampton and it was inexpensive, stress free, easy to do and reliable. We used a complimentary luggage cart, followed the posted directions and the driver assisted loading our luggage. Will definitely use this service again.

We used Valet Park 'n Fly this past Saturday. Everything went well but we didn't like the "new" setup. No luggage carts and, instead of your car waiting where you get off the shuttle, you need to get your luggage through to the other side of the building where the cars are. We'll continue to use it but it's definitely not as convenient.

Current prices:
Virgin drinks - $7.
Fresh squeezed o.j. - $2.50
Soda - fountain $2, can $2.50
Hot chocolate - $3.
Americano - $3.
Espresso - $2.50
Double espresso - $3.
plus 18% gratuity.
We had the "old" soda price which was still expensive but worked out okay. We are sailing Enchanted September and, with the "new" soda prices it is WAY cheaper to pay as we go plus, for the first time, we are carrying on 24 cans of soda. Surprisingly, we enjoyed the fountain Diet Coke more than the canned. The U.K. canned was way better than the Netherlands cans.

I think it would be very nice to offer everyone onboard free internet for 24 hours so that people can cancel tours and book things in Zeebrugge.
We got 24 hour complimentary internet on Sky Princess when our major Iceland ports were cancelled.

Has anybody seen any refunds from IET yet?

We were very disappointed to miss the ports in Iceland but, when the medical evacuations occurred, it put things in perspective for us. Our cabin was beautiful (a couch is now a MUST for us after the crowding issues), the food in the MDR was excellent, and IET refunded all of our prepaid excursions. I sent them a message telling them NOT to refund Akureyri since they tried so hard to accommodate the change in date and then, at the last minute, our inability to dock. It was disappointing for us but I can just imagine how devastating that revenue loss would be for a small company. They messaged me to make sure I was still happy with my instructions and they were really appreciative. We used our 20% FCC to book Caribbean Princess for May 31st next year in hopes that we will actually get to see these ports and we will definitely book our Iceland tours with IET.

On our Sky Princess cruise May 13th, a couple of lunch and dinner menus were incorrect. Best to check the menu posted outside the dining room.

I checked them out on the Sky Princess, quite willing to pay $12 since we didn't have the Premium Package. Not one appealed to me.

How are they making it work? I’m glad they honoured it for you.
No idea how it works but I scan MY medallion and my husband gets his Americano, I get a hot chocolate. We disembarked today and he had his 15 drinks. I only had 3 hot chocolate; didn’t find them sweet enough. 😂

We had our folio down to us owing Princess $1.27 which was perfect. Fortunately, last night I checked again to see we now had a NON-REFUNDABLE credit of $94+ for refunded port charges. We immediately cashed out in the casino. We were given NO notice of this credit and wonder how many people lost out. Princess now owes us $4.27 which they can gladly have. Pays to check!

Currently on Sky Princess and our pre purchased coffee package (15 coffees, unlimited hot chocolate) is being honoured with NO ISSUES. The lady in charge said it is no longer available for pre purchase and there are only 78 guests with this package.

I will be up there in the buffet waiting for them to bring me tea and sandwiches on a little tray at the white linen covered tables. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
It will be a LONG wait! 😂 Nowhere did anyone mention “tea service”, “little tray” or “linen covered tables” in the buffet; only afternoon tea. Buffet, as most people know, is self serve. Have a wonderful day!

What type of beverages are offered? We don't have a drink package since we don't drink alcohol but we purchase mocktails and sodas on a pay as we go basis.
