I never priced it prior. I’m sure I overpaid 😂 it was a last minute decision. Mainly because #1, I don’t like a 5:15 dining time, and 8 is too late 😴 #2, MTD is anyways a hot mess on this class of ship in my opinion, and finally since my royal up offer wasn’t accepted, I figured why not? 🤑 Maybe a spa day too! both Nicole and I are D+, so we could have done the BOGO, but Denise and Mia are not. I’d already paid for Sabor night one. anyway, you are probably sorry you asked after this long story, 🤦🏼♀️ but bottom line is we paid $311.52 for two people including gratuity for the three night package , which included a surcharge at Izumi for hibachi.

We also had paper compass in march on symphony. I know not all ships use the app, but what about the people that completely want to disconnect and not use their phones? maybe they have compasses at guest services. I know we haven’t gotten any in the cabin, and there was nothing on the racks by guest services on boarding day….it’s not like they saving any trees because the sale pitches, shopping talks etc are still on paper…. I’ll have to check…..

- I forgot about the Small Wonders….I may have to track down a map and find them all. They are pretty cool and we have lots of sea days 😊 - the water package available for pre-purchase is 24 16 oz bottles for $27 which includes gratuity. I suppose it cheaper to buy your own case and bring it, but I can barely manage my luggage and wine, much less a case of water. Priorities! i don’t recall seeing this before but you can now purchase beverages and have them delivered direct to your stateroom mini “cooler” .

Random thoughts and info….. - there are around 5900 pax on board. As of 3:30 pm yesterday, 500 still hadn’t done the muster check in. This new process is SOOOO much less painless than in the past. Maybe when people are boarding they should immediately direct them to their station to check in. Just saying 🤷🏼♀️ It’s the first thing we do when we board. - always try and book the aqua show the first night on board. Depending on sea conditions it gets cancelled more often later in the week. At least that’s my observation and it’s hard to rebook if you already have other things planned. this show is pretty amazing on every oasis class ship. Seen it countless times and it never gets old. - I wish you could book entertainment before you board. At reduced capacity, it was easy to book at your leisure after you boarded. Now, not so much. - I miss the paper compass. Trying to read from the app off your phone in the sun is nearly impossible .

Day 2 is shaping up nicely 😊 breakfast at Wipe Out is always a good choice. Peaceful and great views. i usually avoid the windjammer on oasis class ships. Many other options that don’t involve weaving through the maze of people with no sense of direction, while juggling plates and beverages. todays plan is the beach pool, which is already hopping…. I've chosen my spot with accessible beverages in mind

A combination of both. We have a great in home dog sitter but the puppy is a HANDFUL! 😂 we found a great family owned boarding facility that is crate free, and they only board a limited number each day! they have pools, and a great open area to run in….as you can see she’s having a horrible time and misses me immensely 😂

Showed up at 12:25 (assigned boarding was from 12:30-1 pm) checked in and on the ship by 12:40. Checked in at muster. Booked a three night dining package. Signing up for shows was relatively painless via the app, 8 out of 10 comedy shows were already booked by 1 pm. Recommend getting an early boarding time! cheers to biodegradable straws that don’t disintegrate!

I didn’t even notice this card until this morning, but glad I did because we will use it for breakfast since I missed the chance to cover my rum punch(es). I am a Hilton honors member, so I already get the bottled water (although it was not in our room like it usually is) , and we also get internet. Perhaps not the blazing speed of the “top tier” mentioned here, but it works!

Ok, that last photo was a duplicate and despite editing it out three times, it reappears…. Moving along…..🤦🏼♀️ we are in a marina view room this time and this section was most definitely not in scope under the recent renovations. @maggieq I would recommend a tower room with a view of the port. They are a bit noisier because of the bridge traffic but the view of the ships coming into port is a nice way to start your vacation 😊

Morning view…. We never made it to the boatyard last night. Might have had something to do with the rum punch(es) ordered some snacks at the pool bar and walked to Walgreens with the young girls for wine and other last minute provisions . 🥵 whew……. It’s quite toasty in Florida in August! returned from said walk with a bad case of the cankles, but thankfully it was only about two blocks and the walk was primarily in the shade at 6 pm. you used to be able to exit out of the back of the hotel pool area to a boardwalk area where you could see some of the bigger yachts and catch the water taxi. this is the view now 🫤
