  1. When I first used them, years ago, i scoffed at the concept. But the multiple (folded) layers turned into a surprising strong object. I never use less than two staples. One is an invitation to destruction.
  2. I got a set of 6 for $5. They were less than for a set of 4 (same tags). 😲
  3. Still wondering...who the heck tore off your tags that was NOT an airline? Properly attached, they are not all that easy to yank off.
  4. You transportation questions might get better responses on the West Coast Embarkation board. As for car rentals, no idea if there is a location that you may use. Uber & Lyft, I believe, have larger capacity vehicle that should accommodate the scooter. 11:30 seems doable, but could always be a gamble of sorts; ship might arrive/dock late, traffic issues; whatever. You need to make sure you have an early disembarkation slot. Fastest exit is to carry off your own baggage - not great - unless you figure you can handle it through the crowds, elevators, gangways. They organize different slots for exiting. Again, make sure yours is early. NCL transport can get you an early slot and should accommodate all of your stuff, but pricey for 6 people. no idea what taxis/Uber costs but you can look that up online. Also, again, ask some of these questions on the West Coast board. My only experience with Vancouver was as an inbound passenger for an Alaskan cruise. However, I've never heard of a passenger going through immigration while still in transit. As long as you are within the airport concourse(s), you should be fine. Only passengers exiting the secure areas are subject to "entering" the country. Just because you are continuing to another Canadian city shouldn't matter. Double check, if you like, with your airline.
  5. Some sort of inside ID tag is still advisable, depending on what your entire journey consists of. Luggage moves in places other than on board - airports, buses, trains, etc.
  6. I'm not the one who suggested ones with a clip on the end. I posted an Amazon link way back.
  7. Probably one of those passengers mysteriously disappeared (overboard?). But their baggage was saved! 😏
  8. Crazy old-time ship design. Fortunately, the engineers are better these days.
  9. Hmmmm How does the Chief know about the extra copy INSIDE the bag? Are you actually Clark Kent?
  10. Extra keys - to be used by the group when you've registered one of the adults in each of the cabins to cover the ship's requirements.
  11. We need a bit more information. Exactly what sort of suite are you looking at? Is it a Club Balcony Suite?
  12. I'm fairly certain that the posts you are referring to referenced smaller, carry-on bags, not the main baggage.
  13. Only on the Med cruises though. He doesn't get around like he used to.
  14. Doomed...ye shall sail the seas forever, never to set foot on dry land again... Hope you're in a Haven.
  15. Yeah, but Ed always does the really big shoe for the early crowd. 😁
  16. Comment is due to the fact that this is the Norwegian board. However, that was an assumption. I do believe that the information discussed here is solely based on usage aboard NCL. Other cruise lines may function differently and/or specifically prohibit the use of a router. Under the specific language in NCL's T & C's, the router use "sneaks in" because they don't specifically rule them out; they allow only one device at a time to your connection. The router is that device, even though it can provide for multiple other devices to piggy back onto it.
  17. You should check the ports board.
  18. Great news that all of the crew are now together, safe and sound. Happy New Year and Happy Cruising! 🌞
  19. When they open up to bidding on your cruise, NCL will message you. There will be a listing of various cabins on which they are allowing you to bid. The higher each one is above your booked cabin class, the more money will be required to bid. There is also a bidding range for each class offered. You may bid on as many of those listed as you like. Note that the prices shown are pp - all bids are actually double the amount indicated (bid upgrades are based on two passengers.
