  1. I have just read here on the board that there are only one show each evening now not two as before. Is it still a different show each night or just repeated one time each evening. again, thanks for the input

We got off the ship on the 25 and the first night one after the welcome aboard show ( most interesting welcome show we have ever seen! Don't miss it) followed by Motor city. Then is seemed like everyother night you had two differernt shows one early and late. You have two chances to see all 4 shows. Hope that helps.

  2. With a hurricane probably forming in the Atlantic, it looks like our stop at Half Moon Cay might not happen on 10/19. (Maybe I'm wrong though- I don't usually follow hurricanes).

For those of you who were not able to tender to port, how was the morale on the boat that? Did Carnival have more activities to do on the ship and update the Fun Times?

We are on the Glory with you so just waiting to see.

  3. In addition to multiple food outlets and everything else mentioned....

for entertainment: comedy shows, productions shows in the main lounge, numerous individual acts during the evening, trivia games, lido decks games, dance instructions, even towel folding exhibitions!, ice carvings exhibitions....

check your Fun Times every day for all the activities to try.

One great (and sad moment) I read about here years ago was someone talking about a young couple they had met about 5 days into their cruise that had questioned them about their ability to eat in the MDR each night. The unknowing couple wanted to know how the other couple could possibly afford it! They had no idea the MDR was included in their cruise!

My sister and I took two ladies with us on their first cruise and at dinner the first night oy one friend asked what the prices were on the menu and how do you pay in the dinning room I told her it was included and she said I budgeted for meals so she ended up having a few extra DOD's!

  4. I wouldn't worry about the bump, you will be in a premium cabin, so they have to give you one equal or better. Probably end up in a suite if you get bumped. The Spa Amenities are only free for the first 2 in the cabin so there shouldn't be a large push to get 4 people into a spa cabin.

I have been in cabins for more than 2 and have never been bumped.

What spa Amenities does that include?

  5. We are also in this exact room 1122 spring break 2015. I would love pictures of this cabin. Concerned about the balcony without coverage up above regarding privacy?? and also can't want to see the large balcony window :) we have had adjoining rooms with no problems whatsoever, maybe just lucky?

We are in 1105 and also wondering about the no coverage above hope someone posts a pic for us.

  6. Oh YUK I absolutely hate coffee!:mad::eek: Strange that HAL & Princess keep them separate but Carnival can't. May have to wander up to the Lido just to get hot water.

On the lido deck back by the buffet you will find wooden tea boxes with different tea's. We get some of the ones we like and take them to our cabin. Room service tends to mess up the orders a bit. We always laugh when we get our order to see what came wrong, too many cups not enough, only one spoon. I end up running up to the lido to get what was missing. Just adds to the fun of the trip....

  7. When I pre-book Carnival excursions for our upcoming trip can these be charged to the reservation or do they have to be paid in full with credit card? Had hoped to charge to room then use gift cards to pay entire balance(using 10% off through Verizon.)

You will have to book them on board in order to charge them to your account. Unless you book FTTF or cabanas most things are avilable on board the first day. Hope that helps.

  8. My husband and I always cruise mid to late October. The weather has always been great, hot and humid! Last year was the first time ever that we had more cloudy days than sunny ones. There is often a rain shower late morning or early afternoon that might last 10-15 minutes, but it's usually so hot that everything dries within half an hour. We will be on the Glory for B2B October 18th & 25th. We are also hoping for better weather than last year. Enjoy.

We are on the Glory with you on the 18th...

Like everyone has said we cruise in Oct every year and it has always been hot and humid. But we also know there is always a chance........

  9. How about the Eastern Caribbean for mid October?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

We are on the Glory with you on the 18th. We always cruise in Oct and the weather is nice (unless storms) same as the western. We did St Thomas a few years ago on the same week and it was hot. Beach was great.

  10. We are on the Spa deck 1105 and I thought I read somewhere it has a sliding door. Does anyone have a picture? We had the same room years ago when they still had the floor to ceiling windows. Thanks anyone who can help.

  11. They no longer carry them. You now have to purchase either cruise cash or bar credits in $25 denominations. I was sorry to see them go, I used to purchase them as gifts for my cruise companions. Both the cruise cash and bar credits are non-refundable so if you choose to purchase them don't purchase more than you know you will use. The amount of the cash or bar credit will appear as a credit on your sail and sign account.:(

if you buy the cruise cash instead of the bar cash you can go to the casino and put what you don't spend in your account and spin a couple times the cash out. Bar credits can only be used for drinks.

  12. Ok in the past we were able to to book the cruise while on board and then change it to ES later. However this last time there was a promotion for $300 OBC and we were told we could still change later so we were not concerned about the price being higher then we liked.

Reality since it was a special promotion we were not able to change without losing the $300 this time. I called many times and spoke with a different person each time. No way I could change. The price finally got so low with the sale last week that we could have booked a balcony for the price we paid for a port hole.

I called a freinds PVP and she was able to at least upgrade us to the spa balcony and we get $100 OBC for booking onboard. At least we get the room for the value of what we paid.

Happy with the out come. Just want everyone to be aware that special promotions can not be changed.
